My Best Friend's Sister, chapter 1
"Damn we'll never get a record done without another guitarist. What are we gonna do Mike?" Billie Joe asked putting up 'blue'. "I dont know Billie, do you know any one who can play?" Mike asked. "Yeah but they can't keep up with me." "I know someone who can keep up with you Billie." I spoke up. "WHO, TRE?" Mike asked. "Follow me." Was all I said as I led Billie and Mike upstairs. "Tre why are we going to my sister's room, and what's that noise?" Billie Joe asked. "It's no noise, just listen." Was all I said as I put my ear to the door. So did Billie Joe and Mike. "Damn she's good. Billie why didnt you tell me your sister could play and sing?" Mike asked Billie Joe. "I only knew she could sing 'cause she was in the school's choir but got kicked out. I had no idea she could play. I thought that I was the only one in the family who even had a guitar. How did you know Tre?" Billie asked. "Well for her birthday 2 years ago I gave her my guitar and have been helping her play it ever since. We thought that it would have been good just to keep it between the 2 of us." I confessed. "Well I got to go call Adie, but I'll ask her to play for me later. I'll talk to ya later. " Billie said walking to his room. Mike did the same as well.
Kathleen's POV
-Knock Knock- "Come in, hey Tre what's up?" I said putting up my notebook with all my songs that no one has ever heard. "Not much really. We need another guitarist who can keep up with your brother and I mentioned you." "Oh my gosh Tre! WHY did you tell them that?! It was to stay between you and me!" I started pacing in my room and Tre sitting on my bed. "I'm so sorry Kat, I didnt mean to. It's just we really need a new guitarist and I know that you can keep up with him. Come on you're as good as him." Tre said now looking into my blue eyes. "I'll tihnk about it and talk to Billie. But right now I'm gonna practice." "Kat what was that you were playing earlier?" Tre asked. "Well its called 'Only of You'. I wrote it a while back." "I really like it. Can you play it again? Please just for me!!!" Tre was begging me like a little puppy. "Fine Tre I'll play it for you and only you. 'Cause you're the one who taught me to play and gave me the guitar. You're the coolest most sweetest guy I know."
With that I hugged Tre and kissed him on the cheek. Then got out my guitar, sat down on my bed, took a deep breath then started playing and sing.
I wish I could tell you
But the words would come out wrong

I know that we're worlds apart
But I just don't seem to care
These feelings in my heart

"WOW! That's a really good song, I love it! You need to let Billie and Mike hear it." Tre said looking into my eyes. "It's just I don't want them to think it's all lovely dovey." I said putting down my guitar. "It's not. I promise you Kat. Have I ever lied to you?" Tre asked. "I guess not." "And I'm not gonna start right now." Tre said hugging me.
