Do All Rockstars Go To Hell?, chapter 5
***Emily's POV***
Have you ever wondered what it would be like if you didn't have someone to look after you? If you didn't have a family? A job? A home? Have you ever wondered what it's like to be me?
Well, it sucks, I'll tell you that much. I live off the streets. No family, no home, and no job. I want a family. I've never had one, so, I don't know what it's like. It must be great. I just want a mom and dad to tell me that they love me. That's all. Nothing else.
My parents abandoned me when I was only three weeks old. They packed their bags and left me screaming my head off in the crib. The neighbors heard me, and since they hated kids, they sent me off to an orphanage. I broke out when I was eight. That's when I met Chris.
I was lost, sitting on the edge of the sidewalk, crying into my hands. I'd never been to the city before, and being only eight years old with no family, I didn't know where to go. There was a tap on my shoulder and I looked up to see a boy my age smiling down at me. "Why are you crying?"he asked.
"I'm lost."
"Oh. Well, where's your mommy and daddy?"
"I don't have any."
"I don't, either."
"Really?"
"Yep. They died when I was five."
"I'm sorry."
"It's alright. Well, do you have any friends?"
"No."
"No?! How can you not have any friends?"
"I just don't. People don't like me."
"I'm sure they would if they knew you."
"I don't think so."
He stuck out his hand to help me up.
"Well, I think your nice. Can I be your friend?"
I took his hand.
"Mhmm."
I stood up and brushed off my dress. It was pink with flowers on it and I had a yellow sweater over it. My black dress shoes shined. My brown hair was tied back into a loose ponytail on top of my head. "So," Chris said, "What's your name?"
"Emily. What's yours?"
"Chris!"
"I love you, Chris."
"I love you, too, Emily!"
I hugged my new friend.
We stayed friends. Best friends forever. I met his sister, Julia. They help me out alot. They give me money for food. I don't like to take it from them, though. I like to work for my money. No one will hire me, though.
As we got older, I had new feelings for Chris. I didn't know what they were, though. I asked Julia. She's like my older sister. She said it's hormones.
I still didn't understand the feeling. When I turned twelve, I couldn't take it anymore. I did something that I couldn't control. I kissed Chris. He pulled back and looked at me. Then he kissed me again.
We've been together since. I like the way things are now. They're alot better than they used to be.
