In The End It Doesn't Even Matter-Sequel To, "Tell Me Who You Love!", chapter 3

I hear a sudden noise of the door handle being turned. Billie and me scramble around and straighten ourselves out.
"Ok, you're free to go." A female doctor says with a glint in her eye.
"Er, thanks." I say, quickly rushing out the room. Billie follows and as soon as we get round the corner and make eye contact both of us burst out laughing.
"That was close." I say panting for breath and leaning against a wall.
"Yeah." Billie says quietly, not out of breath at all. He moves closer, looking at me and smiling.
"What?" I ask.
"I've just missed being with you. We have such a laugh." He replys.
"Yeah." I duck under his arm and start walking down the corridor. I don't hear foot steps behind me and turn around. I see Billie just stood there, watching me. I sigh and stalk up to him, grab his arm and pull him along.

We stand outside the hospital for a while, waiting on the curb, until Billie suddenly puts an arm out and a bright yellow taxi pulls up beside us. I duck down and slide in the car, Billie following.
Billie says something and the driver gives a vague nod then starts driving.
"Where are we off to?" I ask.
"You'll see." He whispers, his eyes twinkling suspiciously.
"For all I know you could have turned into a mass murderer since I last saw you." I protest.
"Yeah and I shall eat you alive." He cackles. I laugh and look out the window.

It's not long until the taxi pulls up somewhere and Billie signals for us to get out of the car.
I look around to see a dusty wasteland.
"Why are we here?" I ask, looking around. I see Billie heading off behind a truck. I just follow him, wondering where we are going.
He finally stops behind a large abandoned piece of wood, where there are a few crates lying around. He sits down on the dusty floor and look up at me.
"You expect me to sit on that?" I say shocked. He laughs and pulls me down to sit next to him.
"Why are we here?" I ask again, shuffling up closer to him.
"I used to come here a lot when I wanted to get away from things. It's a nice place to come and be alone. It's like my second home I guess. I haven't been here in ages though and I just thought I'd like to show you where I escape from things." He explains.
"Woah. Billie Joe Armstrong has problems?" I say, mocked shocked.
"We all have problems Cassie." He says seriously.
"How long have you got?" He asks, putting his arm round my shoulder.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, Tre thinks you're at work so I was just wondering what time you had to be back." He says.
"Oh, it doesn't matter. Any time, he'll understand." I say, watching the dust circle up in the air every time there's a puff of wind. He pulls me closer and kisses me lightly, moving slowly down to my neck. Part of me wants to stop this. A very big part infact. I want to stop because I'm with Tre and Billie's married. But then a small part, tells me it's ok and Billie will make everything better.
We spend what seems ages in each others arms, hugging and kissing when we're suddenly broken apart by a ringing noise. Billie ignores it for a while, trying to concentrate on kissing but in the end he groans and reaches in his pocket.

"Hello?" He calls.
"What. Seriously?"
"Ok, I'll be right there. Love you." He says then shoves the phone back into his pocket. The last two words gives me a big clue as to who it was.
"Adrienne right?" I ask.
"Yeah, look I'm sorry. I've got to go. I'll call you or something." He says, getting up and walking away as if I was just bit of rubbish on the tip.
"Billie!" I call out. He ignores me and walks off out the over shadowing gates and down the road.
What the fuck? He could have at least explained him self or offered me a ride home.

I wipe a angry tear away form my face and get up, brushing the dust off me.
I walk home that afternoon, the sky slowly getting darker and darker but I don't give a fuck what time it is. I bet Tre is worrying about me. I'm so stupid for giving into him like that, I should have known it would have back fired.
I walk, holding my sides to keep warm, the sky gradually thickening with stars and every now and then brushing a tear from my cold face.
