Too many lollipops, chapter 4
Slushie walked into Billie's room, and saw him happily packing away his things while humming Poprocks and Coke quietly to himself. He looked up and smiled, and closed up his suitcase.
"That's the last of it. I really appreciate you taking me home, I really miss Adie and the kids," he said while looking off distantly into the abandoned field below. There was a silence for awhile, neither of them knowing what to say. And the guilt that was built up within Slushie was huge. Had she not brought him home, they would've had to kill him. Sent a clone back to his family, and killed him to conceal the kidnapping. So all she could do was hope he'd keep his mouth shut, and pretend this whole thing never happened. Otherwise Dots and her would end up in the slammer. Someplace she never wanted to visualize herself in.
"I'll come get you in the morning, and then bring you back, okay? On the way there I have to talk to you about something... " Slushie said biting her lip. It wasn't going to be easy telling him to deny that this entire project had never happened, and that they had really planned on terminating him. The more she thought about it, the more the entire project seemed sick and wrong. He just nodded, and went downstairs to get a snack.
"Sit down! Come on! Stop being so difficult!" Dots yelled at the clones as she tried to get them all to sit down in a large bus she had bought.
"Slushie may want to destroy all of our work, but I'm not letting our experiment go to waste. I'll take the fame and fortune, and she can hold on to her good morals and mediocre life," Dots snarled as she pulled out of the driveway. By this time it was nearly midnight, and the large lot in which their lab was located seemed still and silent. Throughout the field, nothing stirred even slightly. Quietly, she made her way down the country road towards the recording studio, where the commercial would be made and her new life as a scientific genius would be handed to her.
Meanwhile, Billie had been lying in bed, anticipating tomorrow. He would finally get to go home. Though he wondered what Slushie was going to talk to him about. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't imagine what she'd have to tell him that she treated so seriously. Looking out his window, he saw a large bus filled with the clones taking off out of the driveway and towards the main highway. Getting up quickly, he ran into Slushie's room.
"I thought you said you would stop the whole clone idea!" he yelled angrily at her. She looked at him dumbfounded, before getting up slightly.
"We are. What are you talking about? Dots and I agreed to stop the entire process and forget about it." Slushie yawned before waiting for an explanation as to why he had barged in on her like that.
"Oh yeah? Then why was their a bus full of me driving off towards L.A.?" he asked. Slushie just looked at him confused, before realizing what was going on. Without saying a word, she bolted into Dots room, and realized what had happened.
"That... little... oh, c'mon Billie, we have to stop her!" Slushie said angrily as she ran down the stairs. Billie followed her, not exactly knowing what they were going to do. They quickly climbed into Slushie's car, and speeded off towards the bus to stop Dots and stop her before it was too late. Even if that meant turning them both in.
