Wicked Wishes, chapter 13
Riot's P.O.V
Ron and I left the girls apartment early the next morning. Ron wanted to stay to get their phone numbers but I talked him out of it.
"Where the hell have you been?" Billie asked when we walked in to the house.
"We went to The Gilman."
"And you stayed there all night!?"
"Billie! You know what!? It's really none of your fucking business!"
Billie looked at me.
"Chadd called. She sounded upset."
I got the number off the phone and called it. Ron sat down on the couch.
"Hey." I said when she answered.
"Hi."
"Something wrong?" I asked. Billie was right she did sound upset.
"No. I'm fine."
"Oh ok. So how's it going?"
"So far so good."
I felt guilty talking to her remembering what I had done last night. I heard some one scream.
"Who is that?"
"Bayzer and Mark."
"What are they doing?"
"I'm really not sure."
"You sure you're ok?" I asked again.
"Yeah I'm fine. I got to go Riot."
"I love you."
There was a long pause.
"I love you too." She finally said.
Ron left later that night.
I looked at the calendar Chadd had given me. Today they were playing at a place called Mike and Ekes Bar and Grill.
I didn't undress. I laid down and fell asleep.
The phone rang. I wasn't sure what time it was I just let myself fall back asleep.
"Wake up Riot! Wake up!" Billie was shaking me.
"Why?" I mumbled shoving my head into the pillow.
"Riot come on! Please! You really have to get up!"
I sat up. Billie just stared at me.
"I'm going back to bed." I looked at the clock, it was 4 am.
"No! Riot don't go back to sleep! It's Chadd! She was in a car accident!"
I jumped out of bed.

An hour later we were in the car driving to the hospital in Sacramento
"When the doctor called she said it was bad but she wouldn't say how bad." Billie told me.
"So what you're saying to prepare for the worst? Chadds going to be fine." I laid my head on the door. My heart was in my throat.
