Wicked Wishes, chapter 2
The Next morning at school Chadd saw that bayzer was leaning up against her locker.
"Hi." She said pushing Bayzer out of the way and reaching into her locker.
"You know what Chadd? Your so goddamn moody and you never want to talk about anything so let's just not talk at all!" Bayzer marched off.
"Great, just great." She slammed her locker door as hard as she could but it came back and smacked her in the face. She looked around so some people laughing at her. She sighed and walked to her first class. Bayzer completely ignored her through all of their classes.
She sat down at lunch by herself.
"Can I join you?" She looked up. It was Riot.
"Do you see anyone else here?"
"No." He sat down across from her.
"So what's new with you?" He asked her. She thought for a minute.
"Well all of my friends think I'm a complete jack-ass because I don't want to talk to them, when I really do but I can't tell them that because they aren't talking to me. And I hate my mom and brother and I want to run away from home." She said in two breaths.
"Same here, well accept for the friends and Jack-ass part I hate them to." He said picking at his food. "Oh and thanks again for yesterday." He added.
"Mmmm No problem." She muttered.
Chadd stood up with her tray. She turned to be face to face with the girl she hated the most in her entire class.
Chadd bared her teeth. "What?" She sneered.
"I just wanted to tell you that I heard about your druggie friend, why did he kill himself? What was mommy a drunk and is daddy dead? Oh wait that's you."
Chadd looked around the cafeteria. Bayzer, Mark, and Sony were at there feet. She dropped her tray and lunged for Chariot. Punching and kicking every part of her she could. Chariot was rolling on the ground screaming bloody murder.
"You fucking bitch, how dare you say that!" Chadd screamed now punching Chariot in the face. All the anger she had felt the past week was gone, she knew she would get in trouble for this but she didn't care. Someone grabbed the back of her shirt and pulled her up, she felt a very heavy blow to the side of her face, and she fell back down on the ground. She was unconscious.
She woke up and she was lying on a mat in a very plain room, she saw Riot sitting in the chair next to her.
"Alright Mr. Armstrong, why don't you head back to your classroom." The nurse who had just walked into the room said.
"Right." Riot smiled at Chadd then got up and left the room.
"Who hit me?" She asked the nurse.
"Ryan Armstrong did. He said it was in defense for his girlfriend. I'm surprised you remember. That was a pretty nasty hit. Oh and just so you know, Chariot left an hour ago. Well, Its time to go home, Do you think you can get up?" Her brain was beating the inside of her skull but she lied and said she could.
"And before you go the Principal wants to see you." The Nurse added. Chad sighed trying to steady herself.
She walked into her office and sat down in front of her desk.
"Alright here's what I'm going to do, your suspended till Wednesday, Chariot and Ryan have detention all next week. Fair enough?" She asked.
Chadd Nodded.
"Ok you can go."
She walked out side; Riot was there on his skate board.
"Hey Armstrong!" She stressed on his last name.
"What!? It's not the first thing I'm gonna tell people when I meet them." He skated around her in circles.
"How are you related to him?"
"He's my uncle."
"Uncle Billie." She thought it over.
"Yup." He answered. "It was actually his idea we move out here to get away from my dad. We are living with him."
"What's that like?"
"Its fun. Joey and Jakob are amusing. I don't mind moms never home so she doesn't care. Ryan's is never home either so," He shrugged.
Chadd sat down on the steps. "I have the worset headache."
"Billie's got lots of Tylenol I could give you some. I mean I do owe you anyway."
Chadd was unsure about going with him, she agreed in the end. A few Minuets later they were walking up a long driveway to a very big house. Riot opened the door. They both watched as Jakob ran past them screaming.
"Mommy! No I don't want the medicine!" Adrienne
Went running after her sun.
"Come on Jakob! Just take it! It won't be that bad! I promise!"
Joey was sitting at the counter holding the bottle and laughing. "Just take it Jakob!" He smiled.
"Amusing see." Riot smiled at Chadd.
"Screw It!" Adrienne cried giving up. Adrienne walked over to them. "He's been like this since he got home. Who is this?" She pointed at Chadd.
"This is Chaddlynn; she's a friend from school."
"Ohh." Adrienne smiled at them.
"Come on." Riot said to Chadd. Chadd followed him upstairs.
"Billie's gone hes at Tre's house or something." Riot went into the bathroom and got two Tylenols. He handed them to her. She chocked them down.
"Big house." She said looking around.
"Yeah, come on Ill show you were I'm sleeping." Riot said. They walked into a room at the end of the hallway. It had a big bed, a walk in closet, a computer, and a couch.
"Do you umm... want to stay for dinner?" Riot asked awkwardly.
"Sure."
Riot smiled. He seemed to smile a lot at Chadd. She laughed.
"Riot?" It was Adrienne. "I'm going to the store; would you watch Joey and Jakob for me? And is your friend staying for dinner?"
"Sure and yeah. If that's ok?"
"Of course it is. Alright I'm gonna go. Billie should be home soon soon."
Riot and Chadd went down stairs and watched the boys play Video games.
"aahhhh! You shot me stupid!" Joey yelled tackling his brother. Riot got up and pulled them apart. "Stop."
Chadd laughed. "I told you they were amusing."
"Riot? Is this your girlfriend?" Jakob asked his cousin.
"No! We are just friends!" Joey started laughing.
"Sure!" He smiled.
Billie Joe walked through the door. He had Blue strung over his shoulder and was muttering under his breath. "Stupid Tre trying to take Blue from me. He can't play guitar for shit anyway."
"Hi!" Riot called out, breaking the daze his uncle was in. Billie turned to them.
"Oh hey. Where's 80?" He looked around.
"She went to the store. She should be back soon." Riot told Billie. He sat down on a chair across from the couch they were on. Jakob got to his feet and scrambled up the chair and onto his dads lap. Billie gave jakob a warm smile.
"Who's this?" Billie looked at Chadd.
"Her names Chadd. She's a friend." Riot told him.
"What did you do to your face?" Billie Joe asked noticing her large bruise and black eye.
"Got into a fight." She mumbled.
"And how big was this girl you were fight?"
"No her boyfriend hit me there." She said covering her bruise.
"And guess who her boyfriend is. Ryan."
"Ryan? As in your brother? He shouldn't hit girls."
Adrienne walked through the door a few minuets later. Joey and Jakob ran out the door to the back yard.
About half an hour later they were getting ready for dinner. Billie Joe was nudging Jakob to the table as he was complain he wasn't hungry and didn't want to eat what ever his mom was cooking. Joey was already at the table and had managed to spill his drink. Riot was cleaning that up and Chadd was helping Adrienne.
"Think you'll be able to drink this one?" Billie Joe asked Joey as he gave him another cup.
"I'll try." Joey laughed.
"Don't make a mess again." Billie Joe said sitting down across from him.
"So, whatever happened to your girlfriend Riot?"
"Huh? You mean Sarah? I talked to her last night. We broke up." He stared at his food. Chadd Choked on the lasagna she was trying to swallow.
"Are you ok?" Billie Joe asked her as she coughed uncontrollably.
"Yeah, I'm fine." She managed to say.
"Why?" Adrienne asked.
"Long Distance. It wouldn't work out. I don't know how you guys do it, Billie being on tour almost a year at a time and then your as in love as the first day you met."
"HA! It's called money Riot, and lots of it." Adrienne laughed.
Billie Joe looked shocked but then realized she was joking and laughed.
Chadd left an hour later. She went right to bed when she got home.
