Wicked Wishes, chapter 21
Riots P.O.V
A Few months passed and things started to go downhill. I spent more time at work and hen I wasn't working I was out with Ron. Sometimes I wouldn't get home till 2 in the morning. Then Id wake up and do it all over again. I fell back into my old habits. I cut myself once or twice, which was after I got piss drunk with Ron.
I didn't see much of Chadd since I was out so late and working. I saw her fast asleep when I went to bed. I saw her awake with a crying Helena when I came home early in the morning. Id stop and watch her for a minute and then go to bed. It had been a long time since I had kissed her, talked to her, or anything else.
Once in awhile when I got home and she was already in bed she would watch me lay down next to her. Apart from her, but next to her. I heard her crying one night.
I walked into Helena's room one night and just watched her sleep for awhile. She was so beautiful and she was getting so big.
"Forgive me if Im breaking my promise." I said rubbing her back. She opened her eyes but didn't cry. I picked her up and held her. She started to cry when I picked her up but stopped soon after. She fell asleep in my arms and I put her back in her crib.
Chadds P.O.V
One day when Riot was at work Helena wouldn't stop crying. She cried and screamed the entire day. I tried everything, nothing worked.
"Helena please!" I pleaded with her. She screamed even louder.
I went to 80s house.
She opened the door and saw me standing there with a screaming baby and on the verge of exhaustion.
"Oh my god!" She said taking Helena and letting me in.
She managed to get her to stop screaming but she was still crying.
"You look like you haven't slept or eaten in days Chaddlynn! You lie down and take a nap. Ill take of Helena."
I grumbled and layed down. I fell asleep almost right away.
"What? Why is she here?" Billie Joe said pointing at me. I was still asleep on the couch. He had just walked in the door.
Adie told him how I got there.
"Do you know where Riot is?" Billie Joe asked me when I woke up.
I shook my head and told him how Riot was coming home at 2 in the morning.
"You know what, Ill be back in a little bit." Billie said getting up and walking out the door.
