Wicked Wishes, chapter 3
The Next morning Chadd was woken up by her cell phone.
"Hello?" She said grumpily. It was Bayzer.
An hour later she was walking out of her apartment, Riot was standing out in front.
"What are you doing here?" It was raining outside.
"Just passing by." She knew he was lying.
"What's wrong?" He asked her.
"I just have quiet a knack for fucking things up. The first thing out of my mouth usually fucks up the last. And Bayzer called and she wants to talk, I know I'm gonna fuck that up." She buried her head in Riots Shoulder. He laughed.
"I'm sure you won't."
"Yes I will! I know I will!" She buried her head deeper. Riot wrapped his arm around her, the wind beat against them.
"Let's go inside." Chadd said, Her voice muffled by his chest.
"Yeah." He agreed quickly.
They walked back into the apartment. He sat down on the couch.
"Where's your mom?" He asked.
"With my brother." She sat down next to him.
He wrapped his arm around her and kissed her. She was kissing him back. She pulled away and pushed him off.
"What?" He said confused.
"No." She said.
"What? I wasn't even planning on doing anything!"
"I don't even know you!" She said to him.
They sat in silence for a few minutes.
"I do like you though." He said to her. She didn't answer. She wasn't sure if she liked Riot or not, she wasn't even sure why she had kissed him.
"Well, Ok. I'm gonna go now." He got up and walked out the door.
She stared longingly at the door. She wasn't sure if she wanted Riot to leave or not. She grabbed her legs and pulled them up to her chest. She sat there in a ball on the couch.
The rain pounded against the window.

Chadd called Riot later that night.
"Hi?"
"Hi it's Chadd. Riot I do like you."
"Listen, just because I told you that I like you doesn't mean you have to like me."
"But I do like you."
"Can I call you back? I've got to go." He hung up.
"Bye." She said even though he had already hung up. She practically threw the phone on the receiver.

Chadd walked to Riots house the next morning. She knocked on the door.
"Yo!" Tre yelled as the door swung open. His big saucer pan eyes staring at her.
"Who is it?" She heard Billie yell from across the room.
"I don't know." Tre began hopping from one foot to the other.
"Some girl." Said Mike who had just walked up next to Tre.
"Oh. We don't want anything!" Billie yelled from across the room again.
"I'm not selling anything! It's Chadd. From last night."
"Last night? Bad Billie." Tre laughed.
"Oh. Riots up stairs. He's in Jakobs room. Which is the first door to your right."
"Thanks." She walked up the stairs and knocked on the large door.
"Come in." She herd Riots voice. He leapt to his feet as soon as he saw her walk into the room.
"Hi!" He smiled. "I was hopping you where gonna come."
He grabbed her hand and led her down the stairs. They passed Mike, Billie, and Tre who were laughing at nothing in general. He took her into a room that had nothing in it besides a small T.V, a couch and a table. They didn't do anything but sit for awhile.
"Awwww." She heard Tre cry from the open door.
"Shut up! You're ruining the moment asshole!" Billie yelled at Tre and pushed him. Mike and Billie both laughed when Tre hit the hard wood floor. Still laughing, Mike went and helped his friend up. Riot looked at his uncle and his friends dumbstruck. Chadd laughed and leaned over and kissed Riot on the cheeck who was looking more dumbstruck now then before.
"Ill call you later. Bayzer is supposed to be coming over." She got and walked past the three still laughing.
When she got home It wasn't Bayzer who was there it was David.
"Where did you go?" He asked her as soon as she walked out the door.
"Out." She responded. She didn't feel like talking to him.
"I just found out your failing three classes Chadd. How do you fail three!? Don't you want to be good at something Chaddlynn? Music isn't everything. Its not going to take you everywhere in life." He yelled. She just stood there.
"You know Chadd; I'm really trying to help you!"
"That's your problem David! You have the worst timing you really do! Why didn't you come when I needed you?"
"When was that?"
"When my father died!" She was crying and yelling at him at the same time.
"You don't even bother coming to his funeral because you think business is more important. And you took dads money saying it would go college. David I'm not going to college! You don't think this do you? And did you give any money to me and mom? No! David the landlord has been at my throat for the past four months! What am I supposed to tell him?" She screamed at the top of her lungs. She ran out the door and out of the apartment and head first into Riot. He was wet. It had started raining again.
"Wow. Um Ok." He said as she buried her head in his chest. He was surprised but not unwilling toward her action. She pulled away from him. She looked up at him. He had Amazing Green eyes. His black hair hung in his face.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"It's just my brother. He's stupid."
"Oh. Do you want to come over for dinner again?"
"Sure." She said. They both walked back to Riots house. He opened the door to the house she could hear music blasting from down stairs.
"Riot? Would you go tell Billie to come upstairs. I'm going to pick Jakob up from Zach's house. Adrienne said grabbing the keys to her car.
"Sure." Chadd followed him to the basement.
Joey was sitting on the floor listening to his dad play Longview. He was nodding his head to the music. Chadd smiled of course he knew every word to every song. After the song ending Riot told Billie what Adrienne had said. Chadd stayed close to Riot as they waited for Adrienne to return. Chadd didn't feel too comfortable around Tre. Riot must have known this because he laughed when ever Tre made one of his bugged eyed faces at Chadd.
"Where is she!? I'm starving!" Billie yelled jumping to his feet. Adrienne came home about twenty minuets later. After they ate they went back downstairs and listened to the boys play more songs.
After Chadd had left and everyone else was asleep Billie was helping Adrienne with the dishes.
"So what do you think of Riots new girlfriend?" He asked her.
"He never said she was his girlfriend Billie." Adrienne suggested.
"Oh come on! You saw how they were all over each other the enter night!"
"They were not!" Adrienne protested.
"Were too!"
"Stop acting like a five year old Billie!" Adrienne threw the dish rag at him.
"Well just answer the question. What do you think of her?"
"She's pretty but quiet." Adrienne said wiping of the counter.
"Well personally I think they look cute together!" Adrienne laughed at Billie. Billie walked over and kissed her.

Chadd walked home thinking about Riot, She reminded her self that he wouldn't be home tomorrow; He would be visiting his dad.
She pulled her hood over her head as the rain started to fall harder. She smiled to herself as she thought about him. She liked Riot, but she wasn't sure what the relationship was. He was nice, he was cute, and he was everything. She laughed as she thought of him being her St.Jimmy. She still hadn't told bayzer about him. Or who his uncle was.
She went upstairs to her apartment. She turned the T.V on and ended up falling asleep in front of it.
When she woke up she showered and got dressed. She walked down to the mall.
She walked into Hot Topic and saw Billie and Tre smacking each other with belts and laughing. She noticed they were slowly drawing a crowd. Billie turned around relalizing she was there and smiled.
"Hi!" Billie said as him and Tre walked over to her.
"Hi." She said looking over his shoulder at the people who were still following them.
Tre realizing what she was looking at turned around threw his hands into the air.
"My peoples!" He yelled. Billie flicked him the head.
"Ow!"
"Stop being an idiot. Shouldn't you be in school, Chadd?"
"No. I got suspended till Wednesday for fighting." She told him picking at the strings of her bag.
"Oh." He laughed. Chadd stayed and talked to them for a little bit. But left soon after.
Bayzer, Mark, and Sony came over after school. Chadd told them about Riot. They left around six.
Chadd walked out of her apartment to see Riot sitting on the curb smoking a joint. She sat down next to him. He gave her a weak and defeated smile. He had a black eye and a bruise on his jaw. He also had a very large red mark across his neck and shoulder.
"What happened?" She asked him stunned.
"I fell down the steps, tripped over my dad's dog." He handed her the joint. She took it smiling. She took a drag from it. Riot ran his fingers threw her hair making chills run her spine. She handed it back to him feeling light headed. He threw it in the street and wrapped his arm around her. He kissed her gently. She pulled away from him.
"You didn't really fall down the steps did you?"
"I'm fine. I'm ok." He said and kissed her on the forehead.
"What happened?" She asked again.
"Don't worry about it. I'll be ok." She didn't want to push it any farther then she already had. She could see he wasn't feeling right. He looked very pale, as though the life and been drained out of him. His green eyes looked gray and his black hair limp. The normal twinkle in his eyes had turned to a faint shine as though he where barely there. His usually warm hands felt cold and clammy, she felt this as he placed her hand inside his. She took a deep breath. She felt very calm sitting there with him. The joint had helped a lot to. She took another deep breath and let the drugs take their effect.
