Wicked Wishes, chapter 7
I walked into the apartment, it was quiet and dark. I sat down on the couch. My eyes stung. I fell asleep.
I woke up and looked at the clock. It was 9:30. David came busting through the door followed by my mom who looked a bit dazed. "Where were you!?" He yelled. So I told him about Riot and the fight. (I didn't tell him about my knife and who is uncle was though.) David eyed me for awhile and then told me to go to bed.
The next morning I told David I was going to Bayzers house. Which I was, but I just wanted to see Riot first. I walked up to the door, I looked in and saw Riot sitting on the couch with Joey reaching over his lap and signing his cast.
"Don't put that!" He said smiling and pulling his arm out of reach.
"Why? You like her."
"Yeah well." Riot took the marker and handed it to Jakob.
"Chadd are you coming in or not?" I looked up and saw Billie Joe was in the hallway watching me. I nodded and opened the door. Riot turned his head around and grinned at me. I smiled back. His cast was red. It matched his hair.
I sat down on the chair across from the couch. A few minuets later Billie Joe came back into the room with a black bass guitar slung over his shoulder. It had a red ribbon on it. He put it on the coffee table.
"Happy Birthday, that's like a gift from everyone. That cost a lot of money."
"Great! But to bad I can't play it right now." Riot said picking it up.
"Well, when you get that cast off Ill get mike over here and you two can play."
Riot got up and walked over to me. He pulled me up and kissed me. I heard Joey make a spitting sound and run out of the room his brother quick to follow. When he pulled away from me he looked at Billie who had his arms folded and was tapping his foot on the ground.
"Oh and she gets a kiss?" He said jokingly.
Riot laughed.
"I can kiss you to Billie Joe." Billie laughed and unfolded his arms. He left the room and went to find Joey and Jakob.
"So what do you want to do?" He asked sitting down next to me.
"I have band practice. You can come if you want."
"Sure."
So the both of us drove to Bayzers house. Riot hung around during band practice. It seemed like he enjoyed it. Riot invited Mark, Sony, and Bayzer to his birthday party. They all said yes right away. So the five of us crammed back into the car and drove to Riots house.
We walked into the house and the first thing Mark and Sony did was run to Tre who was sitting at a table drinking a soda. Bayzer followed me and Riot into the kitchen. There were two people standing by the counter drinking sodas. One was a tall girl with with blonde hair and blue eyes. The other was a boy with a blue Mohawk and his lip and eyebrow pierced. The girl looked at riot and squealed. She ran over to him and wrapped her arms around him.
"Sarah?" Riot asked pulling her off.
"I'm so happy to see you!" She kissed him on the cheek.
"What are you doing here Sarah?" He asked stepping out of her grasp.
"I'm visiting my cousin; I knew it was your birthday so I thought I would come over. I didn't even know you were having a party!" She hugged him again.
"But I did get you something. Hold on." She left the room. Riot looked at the boy with the blue Mohawk.
"Did you know she was going to be here?" He said pointing out the door. The Boy shook his head.
"So are you going to introduce me or not?"
"Oh um yeah, Chadd, Bayzer this is Ron, My best friend from my old school."
"Hey." Ron smiled at Bayzer. She smiled back. "So this is Chadd? The one you talk about 24/7?"
"Yeah." Riot grabbed me around the waist and pulled me to him. I laughed and squeezed him.
"What did you do to your arm?" Ron asked grabbing the cast.
"It's a long story."
Sarah walked back into the room.
"Who is that?" She asked pointing at me. I was hugging Riots arm.
"Um... This is Chadd. My umm... "
"Never mind. I need to talk to you alone."
I started to walk out of the room. Riot motioned to grab me around the waist but I stepped out of his reach. He eyed me and I shrugged.
After they were done talking they joined us outside on the porch. Ryan was standing over a very large cake. Riot leaned over to me. "Watch this." He ran over to the cake and took a handful of it. "Happy birthday asshole!" He yelled and threw the cake in Ryan's face. Riot licked the frosting off his hand. "Yum." Was all he said.
Ryan grabbed a handful of cake and threw it. Riot ducked and it hit Sarah in the back of the head. She screamed and ran into the house. I couldn't help but laugh. I walked over and grabbed a handful and threw it at Bayzer, It hit her in the side of the face. Bayzer threw a handful of cake at Mark and so on until everyone (including Billie, Mike and Tre.) were covered in cake.
Riot grabbed my hand and took me into the kitchen. I sat on the counter. He got a wet rag and wiped the frosting off my face.
"Chadd, I don't know why Sarah is here and I don't care. I love you ok?" he said as I started to wipe frosting of his face.
"Alright." He kissed me. "What time is it?" I asked him.
"8:00." He said running his fingers threw my hair. I hopped of the counter to go get Mark, Sony and Bayzer. Bayzer was kissing Ron. She pulled away from him and smiled at me.
As we were about to get into the car I forgot to say good bye to Riot. I walked back into the kitchen and saw Riot kissing Sarah.
It felt like some one had just hit me. He had his arms wrapped around her. I ran out of the house and into the front yard. I looked around and saw Sarah trying to pull riot back into the house. He just stood there staring at me. I was forcing back tears. I watched as he let Sarah pull him back into the house. I got into the car and drove away. Bayzer looked at me.
"What happened?"
I dropped them off at Bayzer's house and went home. I felt sick to my stomach.
