Part Two, chapter 2

Deadbeat holiday get on your knees and pray
"... And don't you fucking wear it out!" Billie screamed at the massive crowd of adoring fans. He had never felt this alive. There he was in front of thousands of people who were literally going crazy, singing back the lyrics he had written, shouting and freaking out.

Yet, the reason he felt so happy and extremely overwhelmed at the same time was just a single person between all of them. She had come to him; instead of him looking for her she just flew all the way to where he was to see him.

"ALRIGHT ENGLAND!" he yelled on the microphone and saw her clapping her hands to the beat of "Longview" like the rest of the audience. He would pull her on the stage and kiss her right then if he wasn't afraid she would get mobbed when he let her down again.

He started singing, trying to break the torturing eye contact but finding it hard.

He saw her sleeping figure so close to him that he couldn't help but grin at himself. He rolled around and started kissing her softly on her neck until she finally opened her eyes, groaning a little. She also grinned when she noticed how intensely he was looking at her.

"I loved the way you kissed my neck to wake me up." She whispered and returned the kiss.

"Good to know." He said stroking her hair.

"I'm hungry. I was so nervous when I came to you that I had eaten practically nothing and after the concert you and I got busy with other rather tiring activities so now I'd like some breakfast please." She sat up, kissing his nose. "Breakfast as in coffee and cookies?" he asked.

"Yes I would love that!"

"And maybe some orange juice and bread with strawberry marmalade?"

"That would be great as well."

"Well then it's a good thing I ordered everything."

"You are just too much." She told him, laughing. She was going to get up but he pulled her back and gave her a long kiss on the lips, making the sheet she had wrapped around her body fall on the bed. "Hi." She said.

"Hi. I want to give you something."

He stood up and approached the chair he had left his jacket the previous night, searching his pockets and getting something out. "Here." He said and placed a ring on her finger.

"What is that?"

"Just something to warn any other guy to back off."

"You mean a promise ring?"

"Yeah that. But it's actually more than that. It's about the love that we have and the music and everything." He said feeling kind of embarrassed for sounding sappy.

"It's wonderful." She told him, examining her finger. "I shall keep it forever."
Billie smiled at her and put his hands around her face leaning in to kiss her. "I just can't believe you're letting me kiss you without having to discuss about it for over an hour." He joked.

"I know. It's just really difficult to resist you."

"Yeah Tre thinks the same."

"I don't know how I'm supposed to take that comment."

"Never mind. So what are we going to do today?"

"I actually have to be at the airport in three hours so I don't know how many things we can do. Apart from the obvious that is." She winked at him and kissed his cheek.
"Fuck the airport you're flying with me tomorrow morning."
"Why thank you kind sir. Now what do you want to do?"
"Never leave the bed. That ok?"

I want to take through a wasteland I'd like to call my own

Billie woke up to an empty bed and wondered where Violet was. She appeared a minute later with a towel around her and wet hair.

"Good morning." She told him and jumped on the bed to give him the first kiss of the day. "Sleeping at your house is great." She said. "Can I borrow something to wear?"

Billie just nodded, rubbing his eyes, trying to wake up properly. Violet opened his cupboard and started searching through his clothes, finally finding something and pulling it out.

"A Ramones T-Shirt! It's nice I'm taking it."

"Yeah but it's my favorite one so... " Violet let her towel drop on the floor and tried it on, leaving Billie too stunned by the sight of her to continue what he was saying. "Ok take it. Burn it I don't care."

"Thank you William Joseph Armstrong."

"I told you my name is Billie Joe Armstrong!"

"I know I just like to annoy you."

"Look I'll make you a deal. You are allowed to call me William Joseph only when you are mad at me for real and that's how I'll know ok?"

"Sounds interesting."

"Good."

"Do you want any breakfast William Joseph?"
"What did we just agree?"
"I never said I agreed! I just told you it sounds interesting. Annoying you is more fun."

Billie jumped off the bed and started chasing her all around the house, roaring and making her scream. He finally caught her in the kitchen and lifted her up, placing her on the sink while she was still giggling and calling him with the name he hated. He started tickling and pinching her and despite all her efforts to free herself Billie seemed like the one to be winning.

"Give?" he asked. Violet just shrugged and got off the sink. "Is this how it's going to be like every time I come to sleep at your house?" she wondered, opening the fridge and taking out a bottle of milk.

"Yup." Billie answered and embraced her. "Why?" he whispered, softly kissing her neck. "You don't like losing once in a while?"

Violet smiled at him and handed him the milk. "I'm not crazy about winning everything. It just comes naturally most of the time." She said. "Now how about we make breakfast?"

"Ok. Mike and Tre will be coming as well."
"Your friends are crazy."

"I know. But they like you very much."

"Should I worry about that? I mean Tre seems a little... "

"He's harmless don't you worry. But you may want to keep a little distance from him especially if you are both sitting on a couch or bed."

"I'll keep that in mind." She said laughing and started making coffee for four.
