After Max's reassuring speech, we enjoyed the rest of our evening. We actually had fun. It was about 11:45, and we just got out of the movie. We went to see "The Fast and the Furious". We both thought the movie was good. Now it was time to say our good-byes.
"Thank you for a wonderful evening," I said with a smile.
"You are welcome," Max replied.
"By the way, I had a wonderful time," I commented.
"So did I," Max said.
Max smiled at me with his incredible smile. I stood there looking him in his gorgeous blue eyes. It felt like I was dreaming. I actually found someone that I was happy to be with.
Max gave me his number so I could call him so I could call him sometime. I return I gave him my number so he could call me.
"Look, I don't know when I will be back in Los Angeles again," I started saying.
"When you are in Los Angeles again, call me," Max told me.
"Sure, I will call you," I answered.
"I would like to see you again, if that's ok," Max said. That was ok with me. I was ecstatic that Max wanted to see me again. I was hoping he wanted to see me again.
I went back to my hotel room. I got ready for bed. I laid in bed trying to fall asleep. I should be happy that Max wants to see me again. But truly, I was scared. All I could think about was what my sisters told me earlier. Was I making a big mistake? My heart felt that this was the right thing to do. My mind felt that this was a huge mistake. I really felt that I was happy, and I was in love. That is how I should feel. Eventually I fell asleep.
It was 5:30 a.m. My phone rang It woke me up.
"Hello," I said.
"Morning," answered Gest.
"What do you want?" I asked in a crabby tone.
"You know how we were suppose to leave today," Gest began saying.
"Yes," I said.
"Last night I got a phone call from June saying that we don't have to leave for London today," Gest said.
"When do we leave?" I asked.
"We leave this Friday," Gest answered.
"Good," I said.
"Please, don't tell me that you are planing to see Max again," Gest replied.
"For your information, I actually had fun with Max," I said. Gest was quiet for a moment, and then she hung up. What's with that? I hated that. I couldn't figure out why she did that.
I couldn't ponder on the fact that Gest hung up on me. I had better things to do. I went on with my morning. I went to the hotel restaurant for breakfast. I joined Gest, Caleb, and Stacy.
"Hello," said Stacy.
"Hi," I said.
"So, please do tell about your date with Max," Caleb piped in.
"It was all right. We went out for coffee, and we went to a movie," I said.
"How nice," replied Gest. The date was nice. I enjoyed Max's company. He was the kind of guy that you want to be around when you needed someone to talk to.
I was sitting enjoying a nice breakfast with my sisters when my cell phone rang.
"Hello," I answered.
"Hi Sarah. I thought you were leaving today," Max said.
"Max, my friend, Gest, told me that we were not leaving today," I said happily.
"Good. I'm glad you are staying," Max answered.
"Maybe we could go out later," I suggested.
"Yea, later this afternoon will be fine," Max said.
"Call me later, then," I said.
"I will," Max replied.
"Good-bye," I said.
"Bye," Max answered back. I couldn't be happier. I can see Max later. I can't wait.
I finished my breakfast and went to my hotel room. I took my shower and waited for Max to call. Time went by. It was now 2:45 p.m. and still no call from Max. I got board. I turned on the television. I watched MTV for awhile. The time still ticked by. Now it was two hours later, and no call from Max. I was beginning to get mad. Mad that Max forgotten about me.
The phone rang. It was 5:00 p.m. I didn't want to answer it, but I knew I should. I picked up the phone.
"Hello," I said.
"Hi Sarah. I'm sorry I didn't call you earlier," Max said apologetically.
"That's ok," I replied.
"I had to cover someone's shift at the last minute," Max said.
"I understand," I answered.
"Do you still want to go to dinner?" asked Max.
"Yes," I answered back.
"I'll pick you up at 6:00 p.m. What is your room number?" Max asked.
"My room is 475," I replied.
"See you later," said Max.
I hung up the phone. I began to get ready. Max would be here any minute. This was our second date. If you count the time we went for coffee and a movie. This would be a nice romantic evening. This included dinner and conversation. I was looking forward to this night. I can't wait to see Max again. There was a sudden, but abrupt knock on the door. I finished putting on my make up, and answered the door.
"Hey beautiful," Max said.
"Hi yourself," I replied.
"Are you ready to go?" Max asked.
"Yes," I answered. I walked out and shut the door behind me. We walked down the hall hand in hand smiling. I couldn't be happier. Every time I saw Max, I felt more in love with him before. On the other hand, we seemed to both be falling in love with each other. I couldn't understand why my sisters didn't see that I was happy when I was with Max. We got in the car and drove off.
"Where would you like to go to eat?" Max asked.
"Let's go to the Hard Rock Cafe," I replied.
"Thank you for a wonderful evening," I said with a smile.
