Please Wake Me Up When September Ends or Let Me Here to Die!, chapter 5
*The next morning*
I woke up and looked around the room. The door opened and Ryan walked in.
"Seth, it's time for breakfast."
"Ok. I'll be right down."
He shut the door and I got up. I walked over to the dresser and pulled out a The Clash shirt and black pants. I got my eyeliner out and looked in the mirror and put it on.
I got downstairs and into the kitchen. "Hey sweetie."
"Hey Aunt Tally."
I sat down and grabbed a plate. "So how did you sleep?"
"We both slept great because Ryan isn't cranky."
"Just you wait."
"Keep talking Ryan."
I finished eating and went back upstairs. Then the house phone rang. Ryan picked it up then yelled, "Seth, it's for you!"
I walked down and grabbed the phone off of him. "Hello?"
"Hey."
"How did you get this number?"
"Phone book. So your brother is ok with us?"
"Yea we had a talk about it."
"Cool. So I will come by in a little so we can go to Billie Joe's."
"All right. See you here."
We hung up and I looked at Ryan who was looking at me. "What?"
"Nothing."
I walked away and then he followed. "Ryan, what do you want?"
"Who are you hanging out with?"
"Tre'."
"Oh. I should've known."
*15 minutes later*
There was a knock at the door. I just sat on the couch while Aunt Tally opened the door to Tre'. "Seth, there is a handsome boy here for you."
I got up and walked to the door. "See you later Aunt Tally."
"Bye."
I walked out and Tre' put his hand in mine. "So... are you stocked about tonight?"
"What about tonight?"
"Billie's house."
"Oh."
"Yea, so do you want to go to my house?"
"Sure."
We walked over to his house and into his backyard. We sat down in the shade of the tree just talking about random stuff. Tre' put his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him. It was silent for a while. I turned and looked into his eyes. "They are such a beautiful blue." I thought to myself.
He leant in and pressed his lips to mine. Making each kiss more lovable then the one before. He then stopped and looked at me. "You know what?"
"What?"
"Your eyes are just the perfect shade of green."
"Tre', that is so sweet."
"Thanks babe."
I leant into him and kissed his cheek. "Oh before I forget I have something for you." He got up and ran into his house and was back in 5 minutes. He came over and handed me a long box. I opened it and there sat a silver chain with a guitar pick hooked to it.
"That is so sweet. This means a lot to me Tre'." I hugged him and then kissed him.
"Well last night when I came to your house and you were playing your guitar I thought that you might have liked it."
"It is as perfect as you are."
He took it and put it around my neck while I moved my hair. "There you go."
"Thanks."
There was another silence. "Seth we better be going."
"Ok."
He stood up and helped me up. We walked out hand in hand to Billie Joe's.
*At Billie's house*
We walked in and Billie and some guy were watching us. "Hey guys."
"Tre', who is that?"
"Mike, this is Seth."
"Oh."
He looked surprised.
"Tre', this is awkward."
"Don't worry they are nice guys."
"Hi. I'm Mike." He got up and walked over to me. He stuck out his hand and I shook it.
"Nice to meet you." I looked over and waved to Billie. He waved back.
I watched him look at me and Tre' before saying anything. "Tre', you never told us you had a girlfriend."
"You would have figured it out soon enough."
We were silent until Mike broke it. "The girls are on there way so we can head out."
"Who else is coming?" I asked looking very confused.
"Mike's girl, Anastasia and Billie Joe's girl Adrienne."
"Oh, cool."
About 5 minutes later Adrienne and Anastasia came and we left. We were sitting in Billie's backseat as him and Adrienne were in the front.
"So are you new around here?"
"No I lived in Berkley for all my life."
"Cool."
It was silent when I looked over at Tre' who was watching me. "What?"
He didn't say anything he just got closer to me.
I just looked at him. He got even closer to me. He then pressed his lips to mine and they stayed there until my cell phone rang.
