I left for work totally happy. Even though it was raining hard and there was a huge storm that was expected to come in later, I felt like it was a beautiful, sunny day. I was so excited about going over to Billie's tonight. I really hoped that he liked me. I mean, he must. Why else would he invite me over for dinner?
I rushed home about an hour and a half early, just so I could get ready to see Billie. I know I seem like a total dork, but I really think that I like Billie in a way more then a friend. I don't really know him too well, but he is one of those guys who can steel your heart right when you meet them.
It was finally 6:30. I didn't want to look like a freak and go over right exactly on time so I waited... 6 minutes.
Billie Joe's POV
I really hope that Rachel likes me in a way more than a friend. I don't really know her that well, but she is one of those girls who steals your heart right away (sounds cheesy, I know). I am not much of a cook, so I had Mike and Tre come over to help me.
"Tre! Do you know what the hell you're doing?" I screamed
"Yes, yes I do. Who says you don't put tapioca in spaghetti sauce?"
"Tre, you are one of a kind" Mike said
"Seriously guys, this girl is HOT! Not only hot but nice. And those kind of girls are hard to find. Most of the hot ones are real bitches." I said
*ding dong*
"Mike, Tre, that's probably Rachel. Go into the kitchen and act like you're doing something" I said as I went to go answer the door, and it was in fact Rachel.
"Rachel, I'm so glad you could come." I said
"Yeah, me too." she said. she was dressed in a tight black dress and was looking really good. She wasn't dressed slutty or anything, just enough to show how beautiful she was.
"It's raining pretty hard out there, huh?" I said
"Yeah it is. There is supposed to be a big storm tonight."
Just then Mike and Tre walked in. "Rachel, this is Mike and Tre"
"Oh, it's so nice to meet you two. I've seen you guys on t.v and everything" She said in excitement
"Yeah, I'm the cute one in the group" Tre said while touching himself in a weird and disturbing way.
"Good one" I said, because everyone knew who the sexy one in Green Day was.
"It's nice to meet you too." Mike said
"We got dinner all ready and everything, so do you wanna go eat?" Damn I sound like a retard!
"Sure" she said
I knew that Mike and Tre had to leave soon, so I gave them the look that meant to get their ass out of my house.
"Oh um, we gotta go now." Tre said then ran outside in the falling rain.
"Yeah, Bye " Mike said. Then the two of them left
"They seem nice." Rachel said
"Yeah, they're like my brothers. Why don't you sit down while I go and get the food" I said while sitting Rachel in the dining room.
"OK" she said
"I'll be right back" I said
Rachel's POV
I think that Billie Joe really does like me. Either that or he thinks I'm a total weirdo and feels sorry for me? Uhh.. I should stop looking on the negative side of things and focus on the positive. Billie is a nice guy who invited me over for dinner. How much nicer can it get?
"OK, I'm not sure how it's going to taste." Billie said
"Oh, I'm sure it's great" It wasn't though.
"It's not very good is it?" Billie asked
"Do you like it?" I asked him. I didn't want to tell him I didn't like it unless he felt the same way.
"Not really" he said
"Yeah, me either."
"Now my kitchen's a fucking mess and we have no food." Billie said
"I'll help you clean up." I said
"You don't have to." He said. damn he was so sweet!
"I want to."
"OK. We will both clean up" Billie said
We went into the kitchen I started washing dishes.
"What were those little things that looked like tapioca in the spaghetti?" I asked
"Tapioca. Tre helped cook" He said while laughing. Then I laughed.
"Rachel, I think that you are a really nice girl. You are also very beautiful." Billie said
"Aww... Thank you Billie Joe." I said then dried my hands and went to go give him a hug.
"I think you are a very nice guy yourself, and I also think that you are the cute one in Green Day." I said
"Yeah, I know. I am the cutest one. EVER." He said sarcastically
"Really you are. And to tell you the truth, I have always kinda had a crush on you" I cannot believe I just said that! What the hell was I thinking?!?! There was a long silence. Then Billie Joe finally broke the silence.
"Wow. I mean, I have always liked you too, in that sort of way. And had always hoped you felt the same way about me, and you do." he said
I looked into Billie's sexy green eyes and we both smiled. Without either of us saying a word, we leaned into kiss. He put his arms around me and he leaned me onto the counter top while we were still making out. But just then, something happened. remember the big storm that was coming in, well there was a loud thunder sound, and a lightning flash. Then the power went out.
