All By Myself, All On My Own, chapter 6
Jake was the first one up this morning he was out on the balcony looking down at the parking lot below us. I slipped out of bed and walked over to him. "What are you looking at?" I said leaning on the guardrail and peering over the edge. "Him!" Jake said pointing at a man standing by a car. He looked oddly familiar to me but I couldn't exactly tell who it was from this height. It felt weird though seeing him like how you can sense when something is wrong when there is danger in the future. "You know who that is Jake?" I asked curiously maybe his answer would be able to jumpstart my memory. "No but I saw him lots before." He said going back inside and sitting on my bed. Kilana was still fast asleep. I continued to stare down at the figure below when a car pulled into the lot passing the man. This car was familiar too and I knew who it was. I had seen it plenty of times since I got here, well okay three times but still. That day I spent with James I had seen it and at the signings yesterday I saw it. It was Green Day's tour bus. It parked on the other side of the building out of sight. It had been here when I was with James I knew it was. I saw it but didn't believe it the first time but now I knew it was true. Green Day was staying at our hotel. Weird that they have a tour bus and still stay at a hotel but who really cares at the moment. I had to tell Kilana what I just found out but she was sleeping and I didn't want to wake her at a bad time or she would get really cranky all day long but the anticipation was killing me. Jake ran back over and looked over with me. "It's them! It's them! They here! They gonna see me! With us and they here!" He jumped up and down on the balcony pointing down at three people walking from the bus to the double doors to the hotel lobby. One tall and one short and one in between. All standing in order so their heads as they walked seemed like stairs. The tallest had blond hair the middle had jet-black and the shortest had brown. Mike, Billie Joe and Tre of Green Day. "I wonder what room they are staying in." I said to myself in thought. "Let's go see em'!" Jake shouted with glee and ran back in the room and headed for the door. I grabbed him around the waist and pulled him back setting him on the bed. "Not in your pajamas." I said sitting down next to the little boy. "We'll go see them later." I said lying back down and staring up at the ceiling, which had my posters covering the whole area from my bed to Kilana's and to the couch. Jake lay back to and looked up at one of my favorite posters. The trio just seemed to constantly look at you. From any angle you looked at it the eyes of the poster always seemed to look into yours their expressions reading your thoughts laughing at your fears.

Kilana woke up around 9:30. Jake had fallen back asleep about and hour ago when we were laying on the bed. As soon as my friend opened her eyes I jumped onto her bed and told her "Green Day is staying at our hotel!" She didn't believe me at first so I took her out to the balcony. The strange man from before still stood by the car it was beginning to scare me. I pointed to the corner of the building where you could just barely see the bus's edge. "They came about an hour ago and they are still here." I said going back inside. "Wow." Kilana said sitting next to her sleeping son. He still had his pajamas on. He fell asleep before he could change. He must have been really tired because when we were lying on the bed he was wide-awake and eager to go see Mike, Billie Joe and Tre. His spiked hair was crushed and matted to his scalp messy and splitting at the ends hardly any points left at all. There was a quick knock on the door and before anyone got a chance to answer it James walked in a cup of coffee in his hand. "Morning." He said coming over to look at the sleeping boy who seemed more like he had dropped dead than was actually ready for a nap. Jake rolled over in his sleep when Kilana opened the blinds to the sliding glass door onto the balcony letting in the morning sun. "Time to wake up Jake." James said scratching the bottom off his foot making him twitch in his feet then pulled his knees up and grabbed his foot to shoo away the one who was tickling him. James stuck his finger on the back of Jake's neck making him have to tilt his head back trapping James's finger on his neck. Jake looked pretty silly now and we knew he was awake he just refused to open his eyes. He started giggling nonstop. I joined in putting a finger on the center of his back making him lean backwards. "Stop it!" Jake laughed trying to roll over and get away. He opened his eyes and we both pulled away. Kilana sat on the edge of the bed now holding onto her child's wrists trying to sit him up but he just dangled in her grasp like a rag doll. He really didn't want to get up. "Remember earlier Jake you wanted to go say hi to Green Day today?" I said loud enough so the little boy would hear me even if he didn't want to listen. "Green Day!" he shouted sitting up slipping out of Kilana's clutch on him and then running over to the closet where he pulled out his suit case and started digging through his clothes to find something good to wear. He pulled out a pair of blue shorts and a white T-shirt with a small blue wave in the center of the chest. He pulled off his pajamas and put on his clothes. We helped him pull on his socks and his sneakers. "Let's go!" he shouted running for the door. "Hold on there you don't even know where they are besides they may not like some little kid bothering them this early." Kilana said picking up her son and walking him away from the door. "Aww... later?" Jake said disappointed that he wouldn't get to see them. "Yeah Jake later." I said going into the kitchen. No one was really in the mood for a real breakfast like normal. Yesterday was just too much fun and it felt like the joy of it soaked up all the bad emotions like hunger and sadness sickness everything except happiness and excitement? Although there still was curiosity and fear which I had felt not too long ago. I pulled a doughnut out of a bag on the counter and took a bite. This was my breakfast. I walked over and looked out the window of the balcony door. The man just stood there waiting for something to happen. He had been out there for hours and he didn't seem bored or tired he still just stood there. I was getting uncomfortable. I knew this person somehow but couldn't exactly say who it was. I went through names in my head but none seemed to fit his face. He looked angry. In a black shirt and jeans his blond hair was cut short. I couldn't see much else like piercings or tattoos it was amazing I could see that much from where I was. "What's wrong?" James asked coming over to stand next to me. "I know him but I don't remember his name and it just... doesn't feel right... " I said no idea what to say. No idea if I even should have told him that much. "He does seem familiar but I don't know his name either." Kilana walked over still holding Jake in her arms. "Who?" she asked. "him." I replied pointing out the window towards the man in the parking lot. Kilana set Jake down. She turned pale yet she looked angry and scared. She knew who it was. "You know him?" James asked confused at her reaction to seeing him. She only nodded giving no name. Seeing her reaction to this I felt worse. More nervous about seeing the figure just standing there for so long. If he moved or left I might feel better but him constantly still constantly watching the hotel doors I wasn't sure if we should ever leave the hotel until he left. I mean though Green Day passed him without harm earlier maybe we could get through but something told me if we took a single step out of those double doors we would be in big trouble.

Kilana still won't tell us who the mysterious person is. She seems too afraid to say the name she always tries to avoid the subject each time me or James bring it up. Around two o'clock when I looked out the window the man was gone and the car was nowhere in site. "I think he gave up for today at whatever he was doing maybe now we can get out of this place for a couple hours." I said going and taking a seat on the couch next to James. "Yeah let's go out for a while just to get out of here and get our minds off that freak." Kilana said standing up and stretching. Before she could get up Jake had already ran over and got her sweater and purse from the kitchen table. "Why thank you Jake." She said taking the items from Jakes hands. He gave a big proud smile and went back coming back with my hoody and my wallet. I grabbed the hotel keys off the table and put them in my pocket. We walked out the door and down the stairs into the lobby. We walked through the double doors and started heading to the road.

We basically just walked around for the next couple hours looking at the stuff in shop windows. Jake enjoyed himself. He got himself a blue raspberry dip top ice cream cone which for those who don't know what one is because I didn't know until last year but it is either chocolate or vanilla soft served ice cream dipped in a thick flavored liquid which hardens into a shell around it. He had blue crap all around his mouth on his hands and on the tip of his nose even, because he wanted to know what it smelt like. We were walking through a huge crowd going down Main Street. The whole city was in an uproar about the big Green Day concert. Me and Kilana held tightly to Jake's little hands as to not get separated and James held my other. I was nearly dragging him through the sea of people. Out of the corner of my eye for a split second one single person stood out amongst the crowd then within a blink was gone. It was him he was following us. I had to find out who he was. I just had to whether from Key or someone else I had to know. Once out of the crowd I looked back and I saw the glare of his eyes again before disappearing and I never saw them again. This scared me. I knew him some how and I can't believe I didn't know his name.

When we got back to the hotel I told them about what I had seen. We agreed that we shouldn't go anywhere alone and always would have to be holding on to Jake. I went downstairs to the lobby. I had to see if he was back and this time see if I could get a better look maybe figuring out who this jerk was. I know this was weird I'm getting upset at a guy who stands in one place for hours but something wasn't right about him. I walked calmly past the check in desk so no one would get suspicious but no one was there anyway so I picked up my pace. I went behind the door and peered around the edge hiding as much of my body from view to the outside as possible. I looked around the lot for that car and him but as much as I could see he wasn't there. "What are you looking for?" Some one asked. I turned around in shock to find myself only 3 inches away from some one I had known for years by magazines. Someone I had met. My heart skipped beats and I found myself staring into the eyes of Billie Joe Armstrong.
