An Angel From The Orphanage, chapter 1
April sat in her math class thinking about her next hour: Art. She wanted to get working on her clay box she had made. Finally, the bell rang. April gathered up her things and headed out of the door.
She was almost to her class when someone tapped her on the shoulder. She turned around and came face to face with three guys. The one in the middle had bright green eyes, black, spicked, hair, and was about 5'7. The one on his right had electric blue eyes, brown and blond-ish hair that was in a mowhawk, and was about 5'8. The one on his left had blue-green eyes, blond hair, and was about 5'8.
"Hi, umm... do you know where the auditorium is?" the one in the middle asked.
"Yes follow me," she replied.
April turned around and led the way through the crowded halls tword the auditorium. The three guy's had weird expressions on their faces. They had expected everyone to freak out 'cuz they were there. Once they got to the auditorium, she led them through tons of doors.
"So, this is it?" the guy with the mowhawk asked.
"Yeah, well, I have to get to class." April said starting to walk away.
"Wait. What's your name?" the green eyed guy asked.
"What's your's?" She asked, stoping.
"Billie Joe." he said. "and that is Tre," he pointed to the guy in the mowhawk. "and that is Mike." he pointed to the other guy.
"Oh, well, mine's April," she replied shaking everyone's hand.
"That's a nice name," Tre commented.
"Thaks. I have to go, bye."
"Bye," they all said back.
While April walked back to her class, she wondered where she had seen them. April was sure she had met them before. But when? Where? How? All questions, April feared would never be answered.
She walked into her art class and imediatly worked on her clay box. SHe was almost done, she just needed to make somethings perfect. While she did this, she talked with her two best friends, Dustin and Heather.
"We need to make up a place where we can go and just have fun," April said.
"Yeah, there'll be chocolate rivers and waterfalls," Heather said, her imagination working over-time. "You know, like in the movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory."
"Yeah, with little Umpa-Lumpa's. But instead of them being orange they'll be purple," Dustin added.
"And everything will be eat-able. Like you could just pick something off a tree and eat it. No worries," April added.
"And there will be unlimited movies, music, food, you get the point."
"And rainbow's with pots of gold at the end with leprecons."
"And the houses will be made of food, like in Hansel and Gretel."
"Yeah that'll be awsome. Oh, and little gnomes or elves that gnast your every wish. But they are very friendly," Dustin said.
"Their names will be Bob, Jo, Marry, Carry, Judy, and so on."
Someone in the art room turned on the radio.
"102.7 WMOM! Always Listen To Your Mom! Mom Fm!" the radio said right away.
"I love this!" Dustin yelled, saying the Mom slogan along with the guy on the radio.
April and Heather laughed at him. He smiled.
"I'm Janna Rogers here, with the morning spin. We've got some Black Eyed Peas, Green Day, Panic! At the disco, and some My Chemical Romance up next so stay tuned to WMOM!"
"I bet you anything that it'll be My Humps, American Idiot, Helena, I Write Sins Not Tragidies, and Dance, Dance," April said.
"I am not falling for that 'cuz I know you are right," Dustin said.
As Dustin said this, My Humps by Black Eyed Peas came on. Straight away Dustin, Heather and April started to dance and sing along.
No one in the art room noticed because they did this every day. Whenever a song they liked came on they would sing and dance to it.
Once that song was over American Idiot came on. April sang long but didn't dance with her friends. She reconized the voice from somewhere. April couldn't put her finger on it and that annoyed her.
April was pulled from her thoughts and burst out laughing. Dustin was attempting to break dance. It was not working at all. Dustin ended up falling and hurting his pinky finger.
They calmed down for a second because it was a commercial.
"Hey, if Helena come on, are you going to dance like the girl in the video?"
"Yeah. I think I have it perfected."
Once the commercial break was over, like Apeil predicted, Helena came on. Heather and Dustin sang while April danced. April was sure she had prefected the dance routine. She had spent many hours pracicing it. Dancing was one of the things April was good at. The other was memorizing things fast. Mostly songs. Like, when she heard Helena, she knew every word to it.
At exactly the right time in the song, April pretended to die and hold the flowers to her chest. Right on cue, Dustin and Heather were there to catch her. It looked like a three person trust game.
At the end of the song, April heard clapping behind her. She turned around and....
