"I'm sorry but your wife lost the baby; we couldn't do anything, she went into shock and the baby couldn't cope, the chances of your wife conceiving again are low. I'm very sorry but we did all we could, you can go see her now if you like," said the doctor.
Billie just put his hands to his head and started to cry. He turned to Mike.
"She lost the baby, our baby all because of that fucking barstard," said Billie.
"Hey, I know it's hard but you gotta be strong for Elle; go in and see her," said Mike .
In Elle's room.
Billie walked into the room and there was Elle crying on the bed. Elle looked up at Billie.
"I'm so sorry I lost our baby," said Elle.
"It wasn't your fault Elle, there was nothing you could do," said Billie.
"The doctor says we probably can't have any more kids," said Elle.
"Don't worry we'll try" said Billie.
Billie got up on the bed a hugged Elle; he stayed by her side all night.
A few months later.
Back in the USA at Billie and Elle's place.
Billie and Elle were sitting in the lounge room, both of the boys were staying at their friend's places.
"So, wanna make a baby?" said Billie.
"No," said Elle.
"What's wrong with you, ever since we got back you won't touch me," said Billie.
"Nothing I'm just not in the mood," said Elle.
"What, for 5 weeks, I'm going crazy," said Billie.
"Just drop it Billie, ok," said Elle.
"No I won't, what did Jamie mean about who you were before you met me," said Billie.
"Nothing," said Elle.
"Bullshit Elle, stop hiding. Nothing you say could make me stop loving you," said Billie.
Elle sat up and faced Billie her eyes started to fill with tears.
"After Alex was born, I moved out of home with Jamie and when he hit me I had no where to go. I had no money, nothing at all and I had to feed my baby, so I became a dancer at the local strip club, I never striped or anything like that I just pole danced and served drinks, I know your angry but," said Elle.
"Dam fucking right I'm pissed off," said Billie.
"Billie, wait you don't understand," said Elle.
"Yeah sure I do, you were a slut," said Billie.
Elle got up and opened the front door crying her eyes out as she opened the door Tre and Mike were standing there about to knock on it Elle pushed past them and got in the car and drove off.
"What's going on?" said Mike.
"Nothing just a fight," said Billie.
But Billie was so angry and pissed off that he flipped over there glass coffee table and it smashed into pieces. He walked out the door and called a cab.
2 hours later.
Elle was sitting on the wooden railing just looking over Berkley, crying.
When a car pulled up behind her but she didn't move, she felt a hand on her shoulder and turned around to see Billie standing there.
"What are you doing here?" said Elle.
"I came after you, I knew you'd be here, it's our spot," said Billie.
He looked down at the wooden railing and saw their enitials on the wood they put there just before they got married.
"I'm sorry for what I said I didn't mean it, I don't understand why you did what you did Elle but in some way it makes sense to me I'm sorry can you forgive me?" said Billie.
Elle turned around and kissed him on the lips. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you I'm ashamed of what I was my mother doesn't know," said Elle.
"Don't worry I'll always be there for you no matter what. Come on, let's go home," said Billie.
Elle and Billie got in the car and Billie went to start it up when Elle grabbed his hand and started to kiss him, Elle jumped in the back seat and Billie followed they started to kiss each other more passionately then they ever had before they made love in the back seat of the car and drove home.
6 months later.
Elle and Billie had been trying for another baby for 6 months and finally the day came when Elle was pregnant and 9 months later, Elle was in the hospital with Billie right by her side. Mike and Tre were waiting with Alex and Zack.
In the hospital.
"Breathe, Elle, breathe," said the doctor.
"What the hell do you think I'm doing?" said Elle.
"You have to calm down your body can't handle to much stress," said the doctor.
Billie stayed there holding Elle's hand and with one final push, the baby came out.
"It's a girl," said the doctor.
"What's her name?" said the nurse.
"Isabella Cherry Armstrong," said Billie.
"Lovely," said the nurse.
All of a sudden, the machines Elle was hooked up to started to beep and Elle let go of Billie's hand. Billie freaked out as the doctors and nurses pushed past him.
"Sir, you need to leave; we need to take your wife to surgery now," said the nurse.
Billie left the room and went to find Tre and Mike.
"What is it?" said Mike.
Billie couldn't speak.
Billie what's wrong what happened?" said Tre.
"Daddy, where is mum and the baby?" said Zack.
"Ah, umm mum is in surgery, something happened and they kicked me out of the room," said Billie.
"What about the baby?" said Mike.
"The baby is fine it's a girl; Isabella Cherry Armstrong, she's beautiful," said Billie.
Billie walked around trying to find a doctor, but none of them would give him a straight answer until Elle's doctor walked into the waiting room. Billie stood up.
"Mr Armstrong, Elle hemridged and she lost a lot of blood. We have done all that we can do, it's up to Elle now, I'm sorry, you can go see her now," said the doctor.
Billie left the kids with Mike and Tre and walked into Elle's room. She was just lying there on the bed with all these cables hooked up to her. Billie sat by her bed and grabbed her hand.
"Elle, you gotta wake up, you can't leave me here, you have to see Isabella, she is beautiful; just like you. Elle, I love you, please, baby, you got to fight for me for Alex and for Zack don't you dare leave me here," said Billie.
Alex and Zack came in and laid next to their mother until it was time for them to leave Tre took them home and they stayed with Mike. Billie stayed by Elle's side all night crying and praying to God that he wouldn't take her away. The next morning Billie woke up and the nurse brought Isabella in to him. Billie sat there holding her.
"Elle you got to wake up baby, please please wake up," said Billie as he put Isabella into her cot.
Billie put his head down on the bed and held Elle's hand he felt a slight squeeze; he looked up and there was Elle, opening her eyes.
"Billie," she said.
"Yeah, baby I'm here. I'm here, you came back. I knew you wouldn't leave me," said Billie, kissing Elle on the lips.
"Billie, I love you," said Elle.
"I love you, too, don't you ever scare me like that again," said Billie.
2 weeks later.
Elle was released from hospital and went home to her family where nothing else ever went wrong. And just to put a nice spin on it.
