The next morning
Elle woke in up and Billie was sitting on the balcony outside. He was on the phone, Elle could only here mummers coming from outside so she got up and up her rob on and walked outside to see who Billie was talking to.
"Ok thanks for that," said Billie has he hung up the phone and turned to see Elle.
"Who was that?" asked Elle sliding her hands over his bear chest.
"Ah that was the detective who is handling the case," said Billie as he grabbed Elle's hands.
"What did he want?" asked Elle as the thoughts of what had happened re entered her mind.
"He said that you and I have to go into his office so we can figure out what we are going to say," said Billie as he got up off the chair and took Elle in his arms.
"Billie I don't know if I can do this now, I don't know if I can sit there in that court room and have them make me remember all that happened, I just want to forget it all everything I want it gone," said Elle as she began to cry.
"Baby, I know it is going to be hard but we need to do this, look we have to go in later this afternoon so I'll call mum and ask her if she can drop the kids off later on," said Billie holding his wife in his arms, he hated to see her this way, he hated to think about the pian that she was going threw.
"Ok but I don't want Alex to have anything to do with this Billie," said Elle as she lifted her head of his shoulder and wiped her eyes.
"Well I don't know if they need a statement off him," said Billie as he moved Elle inside and closed the door to the balcony behind him.
"I just don't want him to have to go threw all of this Billie," said Elle walking over to the bathroom.
"Yeah I know I don't want that either, the detective didn't ask for him at all he just wants to talk to you" said Billie as he walked into the wardrobe to find some clothes to wear.
"Ok well I'll get ready and then we'll go," said Elle from the bathroom as the ran the water for a shower.
"Ok," said Billie from the wardrobe.
*later on in the detectives office*
"I'm sorry to have to this Mrs. Armstrong but we need to know everything that went on," said the detective pulling what looked like case files out of this draw.
"Ok," said Elle as she grabbed Billie's hand under the table.
"I mean how you know Jamie and everything like that from start to finish, I know that might be hard but we need to know so we can put him away for what he did," said the detective picking up his cup of coffee and taking a swig.
"Well I met Jamie when I lived in Australia we went out for a long time I got pregnant and we moved out together, one day he hit me so I left with Alex our son and I moved over here," said Elle becoming quite angry at why they needed to know all of this.
"And that is when you met your husband?" asked the detective writing down all that Elle said.
"Yes we moved in together and got married had kids you know how it goes," said Elle giving Billie's hand I squeeze.
"Did he ever come after you before he took you and your son?" asked the detective as the watched Elle smile and Billie.
"Yes he did when Billie went on tour and I came with him, he tracked me down at my hotel and attacked me there, I lost my baby," said Elle as she took a deep breath in and found it hard to swallow as she was reminded of that awful day when she lost the baby.
"Why didn't you file a report may I ask?" said the detective as he was surprised at why they didn't.
"Because I didn't want to I didn't want to have anything to do with him, because of that man I lost my child do you know what that feels like to lose your child?" asked Elle quite annoyed with the detective's questions.
"No I don't know what that is like, look I'm sorry if these questions seem a little hard for you to answer but we really need to know," said the detective because he could see Elle was becoming quite distressed.
"Look it is hard for me you don't know what he put me and my family threw," said Elle as she slammed her hand down in the table in ragged by the thought of Jamie and all he had done.
"Ok one last question and I'll let you go for today, did he rape you?" Asked the detective as he watched Elle face turn white.
"Yes he did," said Elle as she burst into tears and laid her head down on Billie's shoulder.
"Babe it is all going to be ok," said Billie as the stroked Elle's hand.
"I'm sorry to have to be the one to drag up this but it had to be done I hope you understand, I'll give you a call when the trial comes up" said the detective as he stood up to signal the interview was over.
"It's ok it had to be done," said Billie as he helped Elle stand up.
Billie and Elle walked out the door and drove home were Elle went straight up to their room and laid down for nap.
Ollie came and dropped the kids off.
"Were is Elle," asked Ollie as she put Izzy down on the floor so she could play.
"In our bedroom she is lying down after today she felt drained," said Billie as he watched Izzy crawl all over the floor over to were her brother's were playing.
"How did it go?" asked Ollie, looking concerned.
"She started to cry when he asked about the rape," said Billie as he motioned Ollie to move in to the kitchen so the kids couldn't hear.
Ollie and Billie walked into the kitchen.
"But she'll be ok won't she?" asked Ollie as she went to sit down at the kitchen counter.
"Elle has always been strong but I don't know this time" said Billie and he turned around to get his mother a drink from the fridge.
"She is a special girl that one, she will be ok," said Ollie as Billie passed her the drink.
"Yeah she just doesn't want Alex to have to go up there on the stand and have to talk" said Billie as he peaked into the lounge were the kids where playing.
"I don't think it would be a good idea to let him up on the stand either," said Ollie as the took the last swig from her drink and pur her glass in the sink.
"Me too," said Billie running his hands threw his hair.
"I'm going to go to give you some time with the kids, I'll call you later on this week," said Ollie as she gave her son a kiss on the cheek.
"Thanks mum for all of this you have been a great help," said Billie as he put his hand over his mother's shoulders to show his affection for her.
"That's ok I love you and Elle I hope everything will be ok," said Ollie as she walked into the lounge to say goodbye to the kids.
"Grandma are you going?" asked Alex as get up off the ground and gave his Ollie a hug.
"Yes I have things to do but I'll come by later on in the week," said Ollie as she hugged Alex back.
Ollie went over to Zack and gave him a kiss in the cheek, then she picked up Izzy and gave the toddler a kiss on the cheek and passed the wiggling girl over to Billie, and she walked out the door and left.
Billie spent the day with the kids until Elle came down from the bedroom.
Zack and Alex ran up to her.
"Mum were home," both the boys said as they hugged their mother.
"I know and I missed you both so much," she said as she took both of them in her arms and held on to them.
"Mum can we go and play in the basement with the guitars now?" asked Alex his love for the guitar was one that he had learned from Billie he spent every day down there practising and Zack was no different they both loved to play.
"Yeah sure," she said and then she watched both the boys run down the hall and into the basement.
Elle walked over into the lounge to see Billie playing with Izzy on the floor she stopped and watched for a while just happy to see both Billie and Izzy playing together, they hadn't gotten to see much of each other with Billie touring and all that had happened.
"You're up," said Billie as he noticed Elle standing at the entrance to the lounge.
"Ah huh," said Elle as she walked down to Billie and Izzy she sat on the floor and watched her daughter eye's light up as she crawled her way over to her mother.
"Mama," said Izzy as she crawled up onto her mother lap.
"Hey there baby girl mummy missed you," said Elle as she picked Izzy up and cuddled her.
"I think she missed you to," said Billie as he watched his wife cuddle his daughter her arms.
Elle smiled as she placed Izzy back down on the ground and got up to walk into to the kitchen.
"Elle I love you," said Billie looking up to meet his wife's eyes.
"I love you to," said Elle as she turned and walked away.
It was about 9.00pm and Izzy and Zack were in bed Elle was cleaning up in the kitchen and Billie was putting Alex to bed.
"Dad when do you have to leave again?" asked Alex and he snuggled down into his bed.
"Soon about 2 weeks," said Billie realising that it was sooner then he had thought.
"Oh will mum be ok?" asked Alex, he was worried about his mum and everything that had gone on.
"I'm sure she will be she had you to look after her while I'm not here," said Billie as he put some on Alex's stuff away.
"But she gets sad when you're not here," said Alex watching his dad walking around his room and picking up his stuff.
"I know and I miss her so much I miss you all," said Billie as he looked up to one of Alex's shelfs he noticed the picture on there of the whole family together they seemed happy.
"I'm glade you're my dad," said Alex as he laid his head on the pillow and called Mac on to his bed.
"I'm glade I'm your dad too" said Billie as he kissed Alex on the head and walked out of room turning off the light and closing the door and he left.
Billie walked up the hall and into his and Elle's bedroom, Elle was sitting in bed reading a book, Billie got changed and got into bed and lied down.
"Elle," said Billie as the stared up to the ceiling.
"Mmm," said Elle full ingrossed in her book.
"You know I'm leaving in 2 weeks," said Billie as he turned and faced his wife.
Elle took a deep breath and put her book down on the bed side table; she cracked her neck from side to side and looked at Billie his eyes made her smile.
"Yes, Billie. I know," said Elle as she wriggled her self down into the bed.
"Will you miss me?" asked Billie as he stroked the side of Elle's face.
"Of course I will miss you, I always do," said Elle as she grabbed Billie's hand and kissed it gently.
"So your not mad I have to leave?" Billie asked as he pulled Elle closer to him.
"No I never am mad when you leave it is what you do, I dance and you sing," she said and then let a small giggle out.
"It's good to hear you laugh," said Billie as he kissed her on the lips.
"It feels good to laugh I don't know what I would do if I didn't have you Billie Joe, I don't know how I could go on in life, promise me you'll never leave, promise me you'll stay forever," said Elle running her hands threw Billie's hair.
"I promise for the rest of my life and beyond that'll stay with you, that'll love you and I promise I'll never leave you," said Billie moving to lay on top of Elle seeing a smile come to her lips as he began to kiss her.
"Billie maybe I should go back to work," said Elle as she watched her husband place kisses all over her body.

"What about the kids?" asked Billie crawling back up to Elle.
"Well Alex and Zack are at school now and Izzy can come with me," said Elle running her hands threw Billie's hair.
"I don't know I mean only if you want to," said Billie being a little concerned about his wife's mental health after all that had happened.
"Oh I do it gives me something to do while you are gone," said Elle kissing Billie on his forehead.
"Ok I mean it is your studio now and you do love to dance," said Billie kissing Elle on the cheek.
