When Tears Filled Her Eyes, chapter 5
Billie Joe jumped off the swing and so did Kelly.
"I jumped father then you did," Billie Joe said laughing.
Kelly smiled and said, "Oh yea, well I bet the next time we jump off, I'll jump farther then you."
Billie Joe walked up to her and replied, "Is this a challenge?"
Kelly got closer and said, "Why yes it is Mr. Armstrong."
They ran over to the swings again and hopped back on. They were trying to swing as hard and go as high as they could. Billie Joe was the first to jump off and he landed on the ground putting his fott out to show how far he jumped. Now all Kelly has to do is jump farther then him and then she wins. Kelly swung as high as she could. Then, she jumped off. And she beated Billie Joe.
Kelly walked up to him and laughed saying,"I beated you, so I win!
Billie Joe just smiled.
Then Kelly thought of something,"You didn't let me win did you Billie?"
Billie Joe quickly looked up at her and said,"No I didn't."
Kelly raised an eyebrow and said, "Are you sure?"
Billie Joe said very calm,"I didn't let you win, you beat me."
Kelly smiled big and said,"Yay I won!"
Billie Joe and Kelly walked over by the lake. The water was a shiney blue, and it seemed clean. Boats would go back and forth.
Kelly began to shiver in her thin long sleeve shirt, her blue jeans, and her converese. Billie Joe watched her shiver and took off his jaket.
"I see that your cold, so you can have jaket," Billie Joe said, putting it around her shoulders.
She looked at him saying, "That so sweet of you to do, but just knowing you, I thought you wouldn't do that for me."
Billie Joe looked back out at the ocean and said, "Well remember today I am supposed to be nice to you, so I was being nice by giving you my jacket."
Kelly just smiled.
They saw a man on a boat and Kelly began to wave at him. The man was fishing. The fisherman waved back and went back to fishing.
Kelly spoke,"Yeah, I can still see myself and my friends out ther fishing, it seems like it was just yesturday."
Billie Joe cracked a smile and said, "Yae, I know what you mean."
There was silence for a while. But then Kelly broke the ice.
"So you want to go swimming?" Kelly said looking at Billie Joe.
Billie Joe nodded his head and said,"Sure."
They went swimming with the day nt ofinished yet...
