I came before Adrienne..., chapter 5
"Oh...hey...Leah..." Billie Joe said loud enough for Kerry and Kyle to hear.
Kyle and Kerry stopped fighting immediately and looked over towards the door.
"I can't believe you guys!" I exclaimed.
Billie walked out of the shed and stood next to Ray outside.
"Dude I'm really sorry," Billie told Ray.
"Don't worry about it. I've gotten worse crap from my ex-girlfriend's older brother. This is nothing," Ray said and laughed.
Billie just smiled.
"What the hell is with you, KYLE! Why are you so worried about who I date? It's none of your damn business! So back off a little bit! I didn't think you could go this low." I lowered my head and walked out. I smiled at Billie and took Ray's hand. I led him to my room.
We laid down on my bed in our swimsuits. Which were mainly dry. I single tear ran down my cheek.
"What's wrong baby?" he asked me as he slowly stroked my face.
"I suppose I'm glad I have a brother that does care about me, and one that doesn't want to see me get hurt. I dunno. He just takes it too far sometimes. Like today. Spying on us? I mean, can't really get any lower than that," I told him.
"Don't worry about it hun. We are together and I love you, and you love me. That's all that fucking matters!" Ray said in confidence.
"Ray, are you going to go to the Rangewide Dance tomorrow?" I asked him.
"Rangewide?" Ray said.
"Yeah, like all the kids from different schools in our area go," I explained.
"Oh, definitely then," Ray said looking into my eyes.
Ray pulled me closer and looked right into my eyes. He moved slowly towards my neck and began kissing it.
"Morning you two," my mom said as Ray and I walked into the kitchen the next morning.
I just smiled as I poured myself a glass of orange juice. Ray sat down and I sat on his lap. Purposely trying to piss Kyle off. He put one arm around my waist, and the other he used to eat a peice of toast. With peanut butter of course. :)
"Were you guys too tired to put pajamas on or what?" my mom joked.
Ray and I weren't really sure on what she was talking about until we looked at ourselves and realized we were still wearing our swimsuits.
"I guess we were," Ray answered.
"Mom, is it okay if I take the boat over to Ray's and stay the night there?" I asked.
"The Pontoon or the Speed Boat?" she asked me.
"Are you seriously asking that?" I laughed.
"Speed boat than. Yeah, that's fine. Just please don't drink tonight at the Range Wide. I don't want to deal with any hangovers tomorrow."
After breakfast I went down to my room to do some packing while Ray went down to the dock to get the boat ready. I looked out my window and saw Ray, and I also saw someone walking down towards Ray.
"Oh God. It's Kyle," I said to myself.
"I'm sorry about yesterday dude. I didn't mean anything by it. She's been hurt alot by guys and I just don't want to see her hurt anymore. That's why I'm pretty protective when it comes to her and guys." Kyle said sincerely.
"It's alright dude. Like I told Billie. I've dealt with alot worse. It isn't a big deal. I pretty much know where you are coming from, but Leah means the world to me. There is nothing I would do to hurt her. I promise you that." Ray said.
"You better not be lying. I have nothing against you, but if you break her heart, I'll break your neck," Kyle said seriously.
"Haha, alright sounds good."
Ray and Kyle both walked back up to the house. Ray went and got Leah, and Kyle sat in the kitchen with Mom, Billie, and Kerry.
Ray and I walked hand in hand down to the boat. We pushed off the dock and sped our way over to Ray's house.
"Hey, Ma. When is Dad going to be home?" Kerry asked.
"Listen. I have some bad new about your dad." My mom told them.
Kerry looked into Kyle's scared eyes.
"What?" Kyle asked.
Kyle and Kerry stopped fighting immediately and looked over towards the door.
"I can't believe you guys!" I exclaimed.
