Can We Keep Her?, chapter 1

"Mom, why?" I screamed at my mom.
"Because of your father!" My mom screamed back.
"I don't want to move! I don't wanna leave Ashlyn and Michaela and everyone else! And we'll be even FARTHER AWAY FROM ALEAHA!" I screamed as I stomped off to my room.
I wish I had a TV. Or even a door. But those things are "too expensive". (Well not the door, that's "too dangerous"), and so is high speed internet. Even in California, I still won't have a TV or high speed, but at least a door. Don't want to be TOO bratty. At least I have a home.

I really hope we get to live near Billie Joe... I know it's the town he lives in that I'm moving to, but I don't know the street. I guess I'll just have to find it myself. Maybe Murray (my dog, who's a Hungarian Vizsla) will help a little. They have dogs, don't they? Oh, it's no use pondering on what will happen.

Oh, wait, I never told you about me. How stupid of me. I'm Hannah, I'm 11 and I have dark brown, almost black hair. Most people don't like me. I'm very random and I am labeled "The preppy emo" for many reasons. First, I dress in preppy stuff (all my parents will let me wear) and I can act like an emo. I hope I can leave that label behind in Massachusetts and make it stay there.

I walked downstairs to the kitchen. It's so... Empty now. No good smells, no little cart to put food on, no coffee maker. I walked through every room, looking at the bleakness. Now I feel like something inside me is missing because of this house. Great.
"Come on out to the car, Hannah! The moving van's here!" My mom, dad, and sister Chloe yelled out the car window.
"Coming!" I said.
I grabbed my iPod (the only thing left in the house except for me) and ran out to the car. I picked up Bubbles' (my fish) tank and put it in my lap. It was going to be a long ride. Probably a few days. I hope Bubbles doesn't die.

I wish we could have taken a plane, but then I don't. We would of gotten there faster, but that also means putting our pets in pain. I don't want to see Murray, Rosie (my cat), or Bubbles suffer any more than now, since they have to adjust to a new home and sit still for so long.

We stopped at Conrad's (one of the best local places to eat) to eat there one last time and drove to Cherry Hill Ice Cream after that. It's my favorite place to eat ice cream. I hate the thought of how we have to leave my favorite places behind. Conrad's, Cherry Hill, Hot Topic... Well, they probably have a Hot Topic down there but it doesn't have any of my friends... I wish I could stay there for two hours in Hot Topic again while my dad talked to a worker about the Pixies. I love it there... Great friends, great clothes...

After a few days and much sweat and agony, we finally got to the house. It was bigger than I expected it to be. A lot bigger. I hope I get a room with a view of the ocean.
Wow, it's really hot here. A lot hotter than Massachusetts. I'm glad I wore a tank top today.
As my parents took everything out of the boxes, I decided to take Murray for a walk. I grabbed his leash and ran out the door with him.
