Going back to where I belong, chapter 15
*Recap*
"Listen, I promise I'll come back for you and visit you when I've grown up, it won't be too long and you could get some other person to live with you." Megan replied while stroking Tre's back lightly up and down.
Tre sighed and nodded his head. "Go then, go and pack your stuff."
*End of Recap*
Megan had packed basically every belonging that she needed in her suitcases and her room was all bear. The posters that she had once tacked up on the walls were rolled up and packed away carefully.
Megan sat on her suitcase and started blankly into space, she was starting to have second thoughts about moving to San Francisco. Was it the right choice? Would she really be free and have the life she once had so long ago?
She sighed and looked up at the ceiling, trying to drown out the tears that were willing to stream down her face. She didn't want to cry but she knew that if she went with Billie she would never be able to come back until she was grown up.
She had never dreamt of leaving Berkeley and starting a new life in some other city, she had always thought that she would have started and ended her life in the town that she was born and raised in.
There was a light knock on her bedroom door and she glanced up to see who it was and then quickly glanced back down.
Billie walked in and sat down next to her on her suitcase.
"Do you need help zipping that thing up?" Billie whispered lightly.
Megan glanced up and smiled slightly, her eyes were slightly red from the tears that attempted to crawl down her face. She nodded her head slowly and they got off the suitcase.
They both crouched down and tugged on the zipper, it slowly started to move then finally they got the suitcase all zipped up.
Billie tugged on the suitcase and pulled it up in his arms an started to walked down the stairs when he glanced over his shoulder.
"Are you coming are you going to stand there all day?" Billie asked sarcastically.
"What? Oh-no, sorry I'm coming. . ." Megan replied.
She took one more look at her room and walked outside to her brothers car.
She chucked her suitcases in the trunk and walked into the back seat of the car and sat down uncomfertably.
Cassie was already in the passenger seatand she glanced behind her shoulder and smiled sympathetically at Megan.
After all she had once felt what Megan was going through. When she was young all she wanted was the feeling that she fit in. But she had to feel loos in order to feel gain.
Billie steped into the drivers seat and put the key in the ignition, Megan sighed unhappily when he did. He started up the car and started to drive away.
Megan glanced behind her shoulder and looked out the back windsheild and saw Tre come out of the house.
He was waving unhappyily and Megan slowly placed her hand on the windsheild until he was out of sight. When he was out of sight she sighed and turned around.
She couldn't bear to watched the beautiful calafornia scenery pass before her very eyes, knowing that she might never see it again.
She reached into her purse and pulled out her ipod. She needed something to drown out the memories that would soon flood her mind.
She pulled out the earphone and placed them carefully in her ears.
She turned on her iPod and started searching through it trying to find the one song that she knew would make her feel better.
Lithuim By: Nirvana.
I'm so happy because today I found my friends,
their in my head.
I'm so ugly that's okay because so are you.
We've broken our mirrors.
Sunday morning everyday for all I care,
'cause I'm not scared.
Light my candles in a daze
cause I found god. . . yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm so lonely, thats okay I've shaved my head.
And I'm not sad.
And just maybe I'm to blame for all I've heard.
But I'm not sure.
I'm so excited I can't wait to meet you there. . .
But I don't care.
I'm so horny that's okay, my will is good Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.
I like it- I'm not gonna crack
I miss you - I'm not gonna crack
I love you - I'm not gonna crack
I kill you-I'm not gonna crack. . .
The song was over and she looked up from her lap.
Maybe she had already cracked and she didn't know it. . .
