My Love Life, chapter 5
-3 months later, October, 2015-
*Joey's POV*
Preparations for the wedding are nearly completed. We're getting married at the local church on Monday, 16th December, 2005. Mona wanted a winter wedding. We still send out the invitations, and we still have to choose my tux, my groomsmen's tuxes, Mona's dress, and Mona's bridesmaids' dresses. Mona and her bridesmaids were going to get their dresses with Mum, Lisea, and Claudia tomorrow, and me and my groomsmen are going to get our tuxes with Dad and Tre today (Mike couldn't make it either).
"Ready to go?" my dad asked me.
"Yeah," I answered, putting on my shoes.
"Bye babe," Mona said, giving me a kiss.
"Bye," I said, kissing her back. I walked out the door and got into the back of Tre's car with Jakob (my best man) and Frankito (my groomsman). Tre and Dad sat in the front. It was only a short journey to the shop. When we got inside, we were greeted by a young girl, probably only about 16.
"Hi. Welcome to Suits Glamour, I'm Mandelina. How may I be of service?" she asked.
"Hi, I'm Billie Joe. We need some suits for my son's wedding," my dad said.
"Okay, who's the groom?" she asked.
"Me," I said, stepping forward.
"Okay, and would you like all the suits to be the same?"
"Yes please," I answered.
"Okay, I'll just get my colleague so she can help measure you all. I hope you don't mind, she is still on her training so she will be asking me a lot of questions and consulting me."
"No, that's fine," I said before she disappeared in the back of the shop. After about two minutes, she appeared again with an even younger girl, around 14 I'd say.
"Okay. This is Jetta. Can I have the groom over here?" I walked over to her. "What's your name?"
"Joey," I answered as she started to measure me.
"You looking forward to getting married?"
"Yes. I love my fiancée very much."
"Great, that's you all measured up. If you would like to sit down while we measure you groomsmen."
Once I had sat down, I watched the others get measured. I noticed that Jakob was checking out Mandelina, and Franky was checking out Jetta. I just roll my eyes. Once we were all measured, I was given a few suits to try on. Once we had decided on my suit, the other guys were given the same style suit, but in their sizes. They all fitted perfectly. Once we had bought them, Tre, Dad, and me went to look round the other shops. Jakob and Franky stayed behind to talk to Mandelina and Jetta. After about an hour we went back to Suits Glamour and found Jakob and Franky outside the store with Mandelina and Jetta.
"Hey guys," I said as we approached.
"Hi. Franky, Jetta, Mandelina, and me are going go to see a movie, so we'll see you back at the house," Jakob said.
"Okay, but not hanky panky," Tre said.
"DAD!" Franky shouted, embarrassed.
"Just go," I laughed. They walked off towards the cinema while Tre, Dad, and me went home.
*Ramona's POV*
Me and the girls had had such a fun day. We found out something big and were now celebrating.
Flashback
The guys had just left when I started to feel sick.
"Ramona, are you okay?" Stella asked.
"No. I feel like I'm going to throw up." Just as I said that, I ran to the bathroom and threw up. Mum came in to check up on me.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah," I said, getting up, rinsing my mouth out, and walking back to the living room.
After having to run to the bathroom to throw up a couple of times, I started to get questioned.
"Mona, this may seem personal but have you had sex with Joey recently?" Adie asked.
"Ummm..." I stuttered.
"I'll take that as a yes. Did you use protection?"
"Ummm...yes."
"Okay. I know this may sound weird, but I," Adie glanced at Mum who nodded. "We think you're pregnant."
I looked at her, shocked. It never crossed my mind that I could be pregnant.
"You'll need to take a pregnancy test to be sure," Mum said. I stayed silent.
"I'll go and get one from the chemist," Stella said, getting up.
"I'll go with you," Claudia said. After about 10 minutes, Stella got back and handed me the test. I took it and stood up.
When I got to the bathroom, I read the instructions clearly and took the test. I waited 5 minutes 'til I looked at the results. I ran out the bathroom, with the test still in my hand, and into the living room where the others were waiting anxiously.
"I'M PREGNANT!!!" I screamed. The others jumped up cheering and hugged me.
"This calls for a celebration," Adie said, disappearing into the kitchen. She came back holding a bottle of champagne and a glass of orange juice.
Mum pooped the bottle open and poured 3 glasses and handed them round.
End of Flashback
Five minutes later, Billie, Dad, and Joey arrived back.
"Why the celebrations?" Joey asked after giving me a kiss.
"Billie, Tre, Joey, Mona's got something she wants to tell you," Adie said.
"I'm pregnant," I said with a smile.
"Congrats kid," Billie said, hugging me.
"Yeah, congrats," Dad said, hugging me.
"Okay. Let Joey get to his fiancée," Mum said. As soon as Billie and Dad were out of the way, Joey walked over to me and gave me a long, passionate kiss.
"Ew. Gross!" Stella said. Everyone laughed.
"Just 'cause you want Jakob and can't have him," I said.
"I do not want Jakob!" Stella retorted.
"Where are Jakob and Franky anyway?" Claudia asked.
"They went to see a movie with Mandelina and Jetta," Dad said plainly.
"Who are?" Stella asked.
"Our shop assistants," Joey replied.
-3 hours later-
*Joey's POV*
I still can't believe Mona's pregnant. We had been celebrating for 3 hours now when the doorbell rang.
"I'll get it," I said, standing up. I went to the front door to find Jakob, Mandelina, Franky, and Jetta.
"Hey guys," I said, letting them come in. They hung up their coats and came into the living room.
"And who are these lovely ladies?" Lisea asked.
"Everyone this is Mandelina and Jetta."
Once everyone had shaken hands, the celebrations carried on.
