Why Billie Joe Has Two Names?, chapter 1
A long time ago, when Green Day was just getting started, the band had 4 members. Tre Cool was the bassist and Mike Dirnt was the drummer. That leads us to our other two members: Billie Arm, the vocalist, and Joe Strong, the guitarist. They were very jealous of each other. Billie always wanted to play the guitar, but sucked at it. Joe wanted to be the singer, but he had the worst voice ever. Billie was jealous of Joe's tight butt and sense of style. And Joe was jealous of Billie's eyes and hair. Billie and Joe got into a fight almost every day.
One day, while the band was practicing, Billie and Joe accidently bumped into each other during Joe's guitar solo.
"Hey! Watch where you're going!" shouted Joe.
"You were the one who bumped into me!" screamed Billie.
"Oh no, here we go again" sighed Mike and Tre.
"You're just jealous of my awesome guitar playing and my tight ass!" Joe yelled.
"You're jealous of my voice and my glowing eyes!" shouted Billie.
Once again things were about to get physical, but it never got to this point before. Billie went to one side of the room, and Joe went to the other. Then, at full speed, they ran towards each other. Each of them thought they had enough force to knock the other one down, and put them in serious pain, but as they ran to tackle each other they got so much speed and force, that when they crashed it formed a huge explosion. Then after a few minutes Mike and Tre saw a person walk out of all of the dust and smoke from the explosion. They couldn't believe what they saw.
"Oh my God" said Mike.
"Who is that?" asked Tre.
"He has Billie's hair and eyes." said Mike.
"But he has Joe's tight ass and great sense of style." said Tre.
Then the person picked the guitar up and played. He played the guitar just like Joe. Then he started to sing, and he had the same amazing voice of Billie.
"Dude, that looks like Billie and Joe, all in one person." Mike said.
"Yeah." agreed Tre.
"Hey, now me and you are combined into one person." Billie and Joe said to each other.
"How about we call us Billie Joe Armstrong."
Everyone agreed. The explosion somehow fused Billie and Joe together, and everyone was so happy. Billie Joe was the perfect person, and Billie and Joe never fought again.
"Wait, that's not fair," said Mike, "Billie got the guitar skills he wanted, and Joe got the voice he wanted, but I'm still stuck with the drums."
"And I'm stuck with the bass." complained Tre.
"Hey, wanna trade?" asked Mike
"Sure" agreed Tre.
From then on Billie Joe sang and played the guitar, Mike played the bass, and Tre played the drums. Thanks to the explosion, Green Day is the awesome band that they are today, and Billie Joe is the perfect person he is today.
