Friends Forever, chapter 3
"Your best friend raped me Billie Joe and you let it happen, i thought you would always be there for me." She told him. He was angry, she could tell.
Billie Joe, Mike and Tre stood there letting it sink in.
Their best friend, practically their sister, had been raped.
Now Billie Joe understood why she wanted him to remember.
"Why didnt - I cant believe this. Why didnt you tell me Jenny?" he asked.
He was sincere, they both hadnt noticed but while she was telling him the story he had his hand on hers and he was rubbing it gently.
"Because Billie Joe, I was so pissed off at you for letting him do that and he threatened me!" She replied not letting herself cry.
Billie Joe's eyes flashed and he raced his way into the ballroom. Jenny,Tre and Mike jumped up and followed. Billie Joe neared his table and like he expected Matt was sitting there with a group of friends. When Billie Joe approached him, Matt smiled and continued talking. Billie Joe yanked him by the shoulder and punched him in the nose, then over and over again until someone pulled him off.
"Billie Joe what the hell are you doing!?" Someone yelled.
"What are you thinking?" Another person yelled.
All Billie Joe could scream was "I CANT BELIEVE YOU WOULD DO THAT! YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE! YOU RAPED HER! THAT WAS MY BEST FRIEND YOU SON OF A BITCH!!" Billie Joe struggled to get him, his lip was bleeding and puffy, his eyes were bruised and his nose was bleeding. For a second Matt looked confused but then he smiled at Billie Joe like the way he had smiled at Jenny earlier.
"She was asking for it! DONT tell me you never ONCE thought about hitting that ass either!" Matt yelled back at him.
That comment made Billie Joe,Tre and Mike all jump at Matt.
They all continued hitting him but their friends pulled them all off Matt.
Jenny went in and hit Matt straight in the mouth.
He got up and looked like he was going to hit her back but all of their friends jumped in and pushed Matt down.
"Dude, i think you better get you warped sick ass out of here!" Steve their friend screamed at Matt.
Matt grabbed his coat and ran off.
Jenny was proud of herself, but Billie Joe quickly came to mind. Even though through the years they weren't friends, she couldnt help being concerned for him when he got hurt or something bad happened to him.
There was a crowd around him, but she made her way through it.
She saw him and hugged him tightly, feeling the hug was returned.
"Thank you so much" She whispered into his ear.
"Dont worry about it." He said back to her, people were still crowding around them asking her if she was really raped and making the whole scene.
"Can you come with me to my room, my fist really hurts i want to get out of here?"
She said to him, they still needed to talk a LOT and that night seemed to a very good opportunity to do so.
They gathered their things and went upstairs to Jenny's room.
"Youre spending the night here too right?" She asked him."Yeah i am, In fact i'm two doors down." He replied.She opened the door to her room and left her things on the bed."Well in gonna change into my pyjamas ok? You can stay there." Jenny told Billie Joe.
"You know i really appreciate that you stood up for me. I mean i know you may have been 4 years late,but i still want to thank you.Im sorry for pushing you away.I just thought you knew or something like that and i was so pissed that you let something like that happen to me." Jenny yelled through the door,then coming out with a grey sweatsuit on,holding her dress on a hanger and hanging it up.
"See, that's what pisses me off. I would never let anything like that happen to you. NEVER.I cant believe you thought that i did all that on purpose. I was DRUNK. And i'm really sorry that something like that happened to you, I really am. I wish i could have done something about it," Billie Joe told her, as they made their way out of her room bringing the ice bucket with them.
"See what i thought was that you let that happen and you chose not to do anything about it." She pushed the button for the ice and it all fell in the bucket.
"Of course not. I would have kept my promise to you. I would have never let anything bad happen to you. Damnit he was my best friend and he knew how much i cared for you. He knew." Billie Joe replied.
"Do you still care for me?" She asked.
He didnt answer and that scared her. Instead Billie Joe took her hand and took her to his room. He changed into his pyjamas and took his stuff and brought her back to her room and sat on her bed.
"Are you going to answer me?" Jenny asked laughing.
"Yes i still care for you Jen. Shit, the only reason I fought back was because you were just pissing me off. I never stopped loving you as my best friend Jenny."
Billie Joe said looking into her eyes.
"BJ, i cant tell you how sorry i am for thinking you let him and going off on you like that" Jenny told him.
"I know look we cant go on apologizing all the time so how about we leave it at that?" He said going under the covers of the bed.
"I totally agree with you but im just thinking that i know your mom thought you more manners than that boy! You didnt even ask to stay!" Jenny said laughing.
Billie Joe laughed and Jenny got in bed beside him.
