The New Daughter of the Family. (Sequel to An Angel's Voice.), chapter 11
Gerard walked into the living room to find Tre, looking out the window with his chin in his hands.
"Watcha doin'?" He asked. Tre just stared outside.
"Waitin'."
"For...?"
"Her." Gerard looked at his watch.
"Tre, it's noon. School doesn't end until 3. How long have you been waiting here?"
"Since I got home from dropping her off."
"You're shittin' me, right?"
Tre sighed. "Nope."
"Oh my god. You're crazy." Tre smiled.
"Crazy and in love." Gerard winced.
"Woah, wait a second while I barf." He said sarcastically. "Wait..." He said. "With Sara?" Tre looked at him.
"No, your mom." He rolled his eyes and looked back out the window.
"For how long?" Tre shrugged.
"Since I met her." He said, smiling to himself.
"Oh." Was all he could say. He now felt guilty. "I didn't know you felt that way about her." Tre looked at him again.
"You do, too. Don't you?" Gerard looked offended.
"Me? Step in between you guys? Never." He and Tre sighed and stared back out the window. He lied. To Tre, one of his best friends. He did have feelings for her. Although he thought this wasn't the best time to confess.
"Tre. I'm leaving now." Billie said, grabbing his car keys. Tre squealed and ran over to Billie.
"Ok, let's go!"
"You're not coming with." Tre gaped at him.
"What?!"
"I don't want that same thing that happened this morning to happen again. Get my drift?" Tre looked at him.
"No. But why can't I come with?" Billie rolled his eyes and walked out the door. "Ok!" Tre called after him. "I'll wait right here!" He sighed and went back to the window.
Billie got out of the car and leaned against it, watching the kids pour out of the school. No one recognized him. He watched as Sara sulked out of school. She looked up and noticed him, smiling at him. Just then, someone bumped into Billie, knocking his desguise off. Sara froze and watched as everyone crowded around him. She sighed and walked over to the car.
"Hi, honey." He tried to say over the screaming group of teens. She ignored him and got in the car, waiting for the crowd to thin. Billie shoved his way through and made it to the driver's seat of the car. "Hey." He said, locking the door.
"Hi." She mumbled, watching the teens throw themselves at the car, trying to get in.
"How was your day?"
"Fine." She said, sounding rather annoyed.
"Make any friends?"
"Friends? As in people who like you only because your dad is a hot punk rock star? Oh, yeah then tons. But, if you mean friends as in someone who wants to know you for you, and not your dad, then no. None at all." Billie started the car and cautiously drove away from the curb.
"Well, someone missed you ALOT."
"Really, who?"
"Tre." She smiled at the sound of his name. "He waited by the window for you to come home."
"He did not." She said, laughing.
"Yeah, he did. After he dropped you off, he went right for the window and waited."
"Aw, he's so cute."
"SHE'S HOME!!" Tre screamed from the window, watching Billie's car drive up the driveway. He ran outside and waited for him to park. Sara got out of the car and smiled at him.
"Hey, Tre." Tre squealed and ran for her.
"You're home!" He ran up to her and scooped her off the ground, squeezing her tight. "Oh, I've been waiting for you to get home." He let her go and held her out to admire her. "I missed you so much!"
"So dad has told me." She said, laughing. He grabbed her hand and led her inside.
"Look who's home!" Tre announced to everyone. (Everyone being Mike and Gerard.) They waved.
"Hi, guys." She said, smiling.
"Tre really missed you, you know." Gerard said.
"Yeah, so I've heard." Sara said, watching him skip in circles like a little kid. He stopped and froze, looking dizzy.
"Woah. Never doing that again." He stood still until he stopped feeling dizzy. He looked at her and smiled. Grabbing her hand, he ran upstairs. "Let's go do your homework!" He said excitedly.
"I don't have any homework." Sara said. He barged into her room and collided with her bed, rolling over it and landing hard on the other side.
"Missed." Tre said stifly, standing up and rubbing his ass. Sara laughed as he gently set himslef on her bed. She sat down next to him.
"You ok?"
"Oh, yeah. Peachy." She laid down beside him and looked at him lovingly.
"You're such a dork." She said, giggling.
"I know." He said, turning his body to face her. "But you love me anyway." She smiled and kissed him.
"Yes, I do." Jakob ran into her room and hopped on her bed.
"HI!" He shouted happily.
"Hi." Sara said. "How was your day?" Jakob smiled.
"Awesome! My teacher, uh, I forgot his name, but he's way cool! He's got this pet rat, named pinky and it's so COOL!"
"Good for you."
"Yeah. Is dad home?"
"Yep. He's downstairs." His smile widened.
"Ok, I'm gonna go tell him about my day. Bye!" With that, he ran out of the room.
"Wow." She said, laughing. "A little hyper?"
"Yeah." Tre said, chuckling. "How about your day?"
"Augh, don't ask."
"That bad, huh?"
"Yeah. Thanks to Janet, this prep at school, everyone knows where I live. So, maybe we should move." Tre smiled.
"What, did she tell everyone in school?"
"Kind of. She wrote down my adress and posted it all over the school."
"Ooo. Maybe we should move."
"Yeah. So be expecting a couple teenies coming to visit." Tre shuddered.
"Ugh, I hate that word." He dug his head into her neck. "They're so.... Augh. Just never say it again." She laughed, kissing the top of his head.
"I know. They were all over me today. Everyone assumed we were married because of what we did in the car."
"Oh, yeah. About that." He said, talking into her neck. "I talked to Gerard while waiting for you at the window." He looked at her. "I think he digs you."
"Digs me?"
"Yeah, you know. Likes you in ways he shouldn't." He smiled. "Likes you the way I do."
"Oh. Did he cause a problem?"
"No. He didn't confess, but I know he does. I wanted to punch his lights out, but other than that, no problems." Sara laughed.
"Well, just remeber, he's your friend. And you shouldn't hurt friends."
"I'll write that one down, Mr. Rogers."
"Shut up. I'm just telling you, don't do anything stupid." She considered what she just said. "Although, I am talking to you. It's pretty much a gurantee you'll do something stupid." He looked offended.
"Hey! I never do anything.... relativley stupid.... Unless I'm with Jason."
"Aaa, yes. You and Jason make quiet the dynamic duo." Tre smiled.
"I know. He's coming next week, you know. With the other Jason and Ronny."
"Uh oh."
"I know. You better be afraid." He said, poking her. "Very afraid." He poked her over and over again.
"Stop it!" She shouted, trying to push his hands away. "Don't start with me."
"Oh, I'm starting." He said, pouncing on her and tickling her almost to death.
"Tre! Stop it!" She said, crying with laughter. He stopped to catch his breath. He sighed, laying his head on her chest while she stroked his hair.
"Do you think...." He started, unsure about how to say it.
"Think what?"
"Gerard will.... You know..... Do something he shouldn't do with you?"
"You mean things you would do with me?" She said, smiling.
"Exactly." He said, smirking. He started kissing her neck. "Or..." He stopped and looked at her mischeviously. "Things we're going to do?" He leaned in and kissed her, his hands starting up her shirt.
"Maybe..." She said, gently pushing him away. "It's not a good idea to do it with everyone downstairs." Tre sighed and rolled off of her.
"Fine."
"But...." She said, her face just inches away from his. "My parents are taking Joey and Jakob to see a movie tonight. And Mike and Gerard are going with.... Which means..." She kissed him ever so softly. "We'll be alone." Tre smiled.
"It's a date." He whispered, kissing her again, only deeper and more passionate. There was a big thump outside her bedroom door, causing Tre to shoot up. He silently got up and opened the door.
"Hey, Tre." Gerard said nervously, Billie and Mike standing behind him.
"Busted." Mike said angrily.
"Watcha doin'?" He asked. Tre just stared outside.
"Waitin'."
