The New Daughter of the Family. (Sequel to An Angel's Voice.), chapter 12

"Oh, shit," Tre mumbled. Billie and Mike shoved him out of their way and walked over to the bed where Sara was still sitting. Billie grabbed her hard by the arm and threw her out the door.

"Stay here." He hissed. He slammed the door shut and turned to Tre.
"As for you..." Mike said.
"Guys, wait a second. Just let me explain." Tre said hysterically.
"Go ahead. Explain." Mike said, his hands turning to fists and his teeth clenching.
"Explain to us why you are doing inappropriate things with someone HALF YOUR FUCKING AGE!"

"I'm sorry!" He exclaimed. "I thought you knew! I mean, before she was adopted, we-"
"Woah, wait a second." Billie said, shushing Tre. "This was going on before she was adopted?!" Tre nodded.
"AND YOU DIDN'T BOTHER TO TELL US!?" Mike screamed.
"I thought you already knew!" Mike ran his hand through his hair.
"I can't believe this." Billie just stared at Tre. He pointed a firm finger at him.
"If this ever happens again..." He said quietly. "You will no longer be a part of this band." Tre gaped at him.
"But I-"
"This is your first and only warning, Tre." Mike said. "Stay away from her." Tre was getting mad.
"And since when do you decide how she lives her life!?" He screamed, pointing to Mike.
"Tre." Billie said warningly. "I trust Mike with my life. And my daughter's. But you, I'm not so sure I can trust you anymore."
"Well, you won't have to worry." Tre said, walking towards the door. "I'm leaving." He opened the door and walked downstairs. Sara followed him.
"Tre, wait." She grabbed him by the arm, but he pulled away. "Tre, come on. Take me with you." Tre turned to her.
"I can't. I'm sorry, but I can't...." He sighed. "Stay here." He opened the front door.
"Are you coming back?" He turned back to her.
"I don't know." And with that, he walked out the door and closed it quietly behind him. She watched him get in his car and drive down the driveway and out of sight. Billie and Mike came down and watched him leave.
"Good riddance, asshole." Mike said.
"Yeah." Billie snorted. Sara turned to them.
"Why do you always mess everything up?" She asked them. Billie looked taken aback.
"We mess everything up? Why do you always get yourself into these situations?"
"I can't believe you." She said angrily.
"It was for your own good." Mike said. "If Gerard hadn't told us what was going on, you could have-"
"Wait. Gerard did this?"
"He told us what was happening between you two. And I'm glad he did." Sara walked out of the living room and into the kitchen. Gerard was sitting at the counter drinking coffee.
"You asshole." He looked up.
"Well, I found it a bit disturbing that you two were together."
"And yet you had feelings for me, too? You didn't find that disturbing at all?" He just looked at her. "What is wrong with you guys?"
"Well, I'm sorry, but-"
"I thought you were different." She said, and walked upstairs. She laid on her bed and cried. After a while, she just cried herself to sleep.

Sara woke up with a start. She heard someone downstairs. She looked at her alarm clock: 4:30 am. She wanted to go downstairs, but she had no idea who was downstairs. She figured if it was someone dangerous, her dad would take care of it. She laid down and went back to sleep.

"Good morining, California. It is now 8:10 on Saturday morning. And what a beautiful day it is-" Billie picked up his alarm clock and threw it at the wall. He sat up and rubbed his forehead. He walked into the bathroom and took out his toothbrush. He smeared toothpaste on it and started brushing his teeth. He threw the empty toothpast tube into the garbage when something caught his eye. A purple box. A pregnancy test box. He stopped brushing and took it out of the garbage. He started panicking as he ran out of the bathroom and into his bedroom.

"ADIE!" He screamed. His wife woke with a start, looking horrified.
"What? What's wrong?" He held the box out in front of her face.
"Please tell me this isn't yours." She shook her head. Billie gave a sigh of relief. "Thank god. I thought for a second you were-" He froze and looked at his wife, who looked back at him.
"Sara!" They screamed in unison. They both ran into her room, causing her to bolt upright. She saw Billie and glowered.
"What?" She snapped.
"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME!?" He screamed, spitting toothpaste in her face.
"Tell you what?" She asked calmly. Billie looked at her warningly.
"Don't play fucking games with me." He threw the box at her. She looked at it and laughed.
"You think this is mine?"
"Well, it isn't your mothers. And FYI you two are the only two women in this house!"
"Actually, it isn't hers." Someone said at the door. Billie whirrled around and found Tre in his boxers.
"What the fuck are you doing here?" He asked quietly. "And who's is it then?" A woman stood behind Tre, wrapped in nothing but his bed sheets. Claudia.
"It's mine." She said. Billie let out a huge sigh of relief.
"Thank fucking god." Sara looked at Tre.
"It's hers?" Tre nodded.
"Yeah. I went to the bar last night and found Claudia here. And we had a few drinks and.... you know." Sara just looked at him.
"But I thought...." Tre sighed.
"She's not pregnant, but we just wanted to make sure." Sara got up and ran out of the room. Billie sighed stressfully.
"Why does she always have to run?" He ran after her. She was downstairs getting her shoes on. "Sara..." He said. "Tre's a big boy. He can decide who he-"
"You're only saying that because you're happy it's not me." She stood up and looked at him. "I don't know what's wrong with everyone, but they are seriously fucked up. I'm going for a walk." She walked out the door. Billie sighed and followed her.
"Hey. Come back here, young lady." She cut through and alley way. She ignored him. "Hey! I'm talking to you." He was just about to grab her arm when a man jumped out and wrapped his arm around her neck, pointing a gun to her temple. "Sara! Mister, please, give me my daughter back...."
"Shut up." The man snapped at him. His lips curled into a smile. "Big fan, by the way, Mr. Armstrong. How's the wife?"
"That's none of your buisness. Just, give her back." Billie stepped forward, but the man pointed his gun at Billie.
"Don't move." He said. Billie froze, tears spilling down his cheeks. The man looked at him pitifully. "Awww, what's the matter? You upset that a mean old man took your precious baby? Well, I heard the argument from way out here. It didn't sound like anyone cared about her."
"That's not true." Billie whispered.
"What's that?" The man asked, teasingly.
"I said it's not true." Billie said louder.
"Well, if you don't mind, I'd like to... how you say.... get to know your daughter better." He said mischeviously.
"Please..." Billie begged. "I'll pay you... Just give her back."
"Oh, really?" The man asked, arching an eyebrow. "You would pay money to get your daughter back?"
"Yes, I'll do anything, just don't hurt her...." The man smiled wider.
"Perfect." He hissed. He got very close to Sara's face. "Don't worry, love. I'll take good care of you." He pointed his gun back at Billie. "If you call the police, I'll cut her head off and deliver it to your doorstep." He started down the alley way. He turned around to face Billie again. "Don't feel bad, Mr. A...." He said, grinning. "I'll treat her well." He frowned slightly. "Better than you did, anyway." He smiled down at Sara. "We'll have much.... fun.... together." Sara stomped down on his foot, causing him to let go. She tried running to Billie, but the man grabbed her again. "Oh, naughty, naughty." He said, laughing. "I'm going to have to punish you for that." He looked back at Billie. "Have a nice day, Armstrong." He ran into his car and drove off. Billie ran after the car.
"NO!" He begged. "PLEASE!" The car turned and disappeared. "Give me my baby back." He whispered. He stood there for a few seconds before running home. He barged through the front door.
"There you are." Tre said. "Where's Sara?" Billie ignored him and ran to the phone. He dialed 911.
"Yes hello? I need the police right away." He was speaking quickly, tears pouring out of his eyes.
"The police?" Mike asked, worried. "Why?" Billie ignored him and continued his phone call.
"My daughter.... She's been kidnapped." Everyone gasped. Billie continued talking hysterically into the phone. "What do you mean there are none available? A murder? WHO THE FUCK CARES!! MY DAUGHTER'S BEEN KIDNAPPED, DAMMIT! I NEED THE POLICE NOW!" He started pounding the phone on the counter top. Mike grabbed his arm and hung up the phone. Billie struggled, but Mike was stronger than he was. He finally escaped Mike's clutches. He ran around hysterically. "What are we going to do?! I can't.... I can't think straight!" He stopped and sunk to the floor. "What have I done?" He dug his hands into his eyes, sobbing uncontrollably. Tre turned to Claudia.
"Maybe you should leave." She stared at Tre.
"But... Last night-"
"Last night we were drunk. I don't love you anymore, Claudia." She just looked at him. "I love Sara."
