Family...Sux, chapter 3

I was extremely nervous sitting in Tre's or should I say my dad's BMW. I had nothing too say and I hated awkward silences which we were sharing right now. I was still processing everything in my mind until Tre suddenly interrupted my thoughts.

"So, Shannen, how old are you?"

"Twen—"

"Wait! Let me try and figure it out! Let's see. Your birthday is in 1986...So...Your... 20!" Tre exclaimed finally figuring it out."

I laughed thinking how cute it was that he was so excited that he figured out a simple thing like my birthday. Wait... Oh my god...He's my dad...I just said my dad was cute...Oh geez...Stop it Shannen...STOP...You're going to have to get over your crush...

"Yea... 20... " I responded nervously.

Tre could tell I was nervous, "Shannen, listen, I know it's been an extremely long time and this is all new to you and I don't blame you for being uptight and nervous but I'm going to give you the best summer of your life!"

I smiled weakly, "Yea... Tr—I mean... Da---... I mean... Never mind."

Tre laughed, "It's okay. You can call me Tre until you feel comfortable around me. I don't mind. Whatever rocks your boat."

"Okay... " I agreed extremely embarrassed.

I totally did NOT feel comfortable around Tre yet. I just couldn't call him dad it just felt too weird so I was glad when he told me I could call him by his first name for now.

"Okay, we're almost at the airport where the private jet is waiting," Tre smirked getting excited.

"Umm...Okay," I said.

"Didn't you say that it would take like an hour to get to the airport?" I asked.

He answered with a simple "Yea."

"So...How is it possible that we're going to be there in less then 15 minutes?"

Tre laughed, "Because I'm Tre Cool! I can do anything!"

"Or maybe it's because you're going 30 miles over the speed limit... " I said looking at the dashboard that read 70 mph.

"Screw the speed limit!" Tre yelled as he pushed down on the gas petal harder.

I began to get nervous by him going so fast. I clung to the seat and began to shake.

"Tre! Stop! You're going to fast! The cops are going to pull you over!" I screamed not wanting to die.

"LIVE FREAKY DIE FREAKY SHANNEN!" He yelled as he continued his speed.

Sure enough, we soon heard police sirens going on behind us. I looked back and saw a police car following close behind us. I turned around and yelled at Tre again.

"STOP THE CAR! THE COPS ARE BEHIND US!"

Tre yelled, "NEVER!"

I began to get upset and extremely freaked out so I knew what I had to say to get him to stop and not die.

"IF YOU DON'T STOP THE CAR RIGHT NOW I'M CALLING MY MOTHER!"

Tre heard the words and immediately slowed the car down and pulled over.

"Wow... You really do have your mother in you don't you?" Tre asked smiling.

I sighed relieved the car stopped, "No... I just didn't want to die on the first day with my father I haven't seen in 20 years... "

Tre laughed and we both exchanged awkward smiles. God he's hot... I just... AHH! NO! STOP IT! HE'S YOUR FATHER! I quickly turned away and stared out the window trying to get all the sick thoughts going around in my head at that moment. All of a sudden the cop tapped on the BMW's window which caused Tre too jump.

"Can I help you officer?" Tre asked casually while rolling down the window.

"Yea...You were going 30 miles over the speed limit and...Wait...Aren't you Tre Cool?" The officer asked getting distracted.

Tre smirked, "The one and only!"

I rolled my eyes but couldn't help smiling at how casual he was with this.

The officer looked star struck which made me smile making me think back to when I first saw Tre at my door. "Wow! Hey... If you give me an autograph... I'll drop all the charges."

"Sure!" Tre exclaimed signing the piece of paper the officer held out.

"Thanks!" said the officer walking away looking happy.

Tre started up the car again and drove the normal speed to the airport. There was an awkward silence when Tre turned on the radio and "Your Beautiful" quickly filled up the car.

I winced, "Oh god...I really hate this song..."

"Why? This is such a great song to make fun of!" Tre said and began singing.
"Your hideous...Your hideous...Your hideous it's true!" Tre sang with an extremely high pitched voice mocking James Blunt.

This made me die of laughter and my face got extremely red. Tre laughed with me all the way until we got to the airport. He parked his car in a private area and stepped out and walked over to the trunk to get my bags. I slowly stepped out and gaped at what was before me. I was standing not a few feet away from a huge jet. Tre got my bags and began walking into the plane and called me to follow.

As soon as I stepped in I was in shock all over again. I couldn't believe what Tre's plane looked like. There was a huge, plush, fluffy, white couch near the window that was covered in white drapes. Next to the end of the couch there was a huge bar area filled with all the liquor possible.

"This is freaking amazing..." I said still memorized by the jet.

Tre laughed, "You haven't even seen the best part..."

I looked at him suspiciously as he walked over to a huge red, silk curtain.

"And what's behind curtain number one Mr. Cool?" I smirked.

"A 50 inch plasma screen TV!" He announced as he pulled open the curtain.

I was just staring at the TV memorized, "This is unbelievable..."

"I know. I get the big hot shot stuff because well..."

"You're Tre Cool. I know I know...I've heard that line before," I said finishing his sentence for him.

He smiled and soon we were on our way to Berkeley to his huge mansion which I was going to be staying at. The trip went amazing and I got a lot more comfortable with Tre. We got served a gourmet dinner and amazing dessert. We hung out while we ate and relaxed on his luxury plane. We soon landed and before I knew it, we were on our way to his Berkeley mansion. Tre pressed the button to open the big iron gates and slowly drove up the big driveway leading too his massive house.

"Welcome to Casa Cool!" Tre said as he turned off the car.

"More like welcome to the Tashma Hall! God Tre this place is massive!" I said looking at the house.

Tre blushed as he was unloading my bags from the trunk, "Awww...It's not that big."

I went over and helped him with my stuff, "Yes it is... "

"Okay, well...I guess it is..." Tre agreed shyly.

"Thank you," I said happy I won the little argument.

Tre stopped for a second and looked into the trunk with a tired expression on his face. I looked at him and wondered what he was thinking.

"Damn Shannen...why do you have so much stuff?" Tre said picking up some more of the many bags.

"Because I'm a 20 year old woman," I stated simply walking into the house loaded down with bags.

Tre rolled his eyes, "Of course... I should've guessed."

We were both in the house and I had no idea where to go. Straight? Left? Right? Up? Down? I'm so confused!

"Follow me," Tre said walking in front of me and going upstairs.

I shrugged and followed him what seemed like the never ending staircase. We passed what seemed like a million doors which all looked the same. I was too busy looking at everything that I wasn't paying attention to what Tre was saying.

"This is Claudia's room, this is Frankito's and this is yours..." Tre said stopping in front of a white door.

I still wasn't listening so I bumped right into Tre which caused both of to drop the bags.

"Oh! I'm sorry!" I exclaimed.

Tre laughed, "No problem. As I was saying before when you were spacing out...This is your room."

I blushed and nodded as he opened the door to reveal a light blue colored room. It was probably the biggest room I've ever seen. The room had a queen size bed and a 20 inch plasma screen TV with a 5. 1 surround sound stereo. It also had a full size bathroom with a bathtub and a shower. I sat on the bed and it was like sitting on a cloud.

"Tre...This is so great. Thank you," I said.

Tre smiled, "No problem. Listen, it's late and you should get some sleep. You've had a long day."

"Sure...Of course..." I smiled.

"Good night. See you in the morning," Tre said and he closed the bedroom door.

I heard him walk into his own room and close the door. I put all my stuff away thinking everything over and making sure this isn't some crazy dream. I put on my pajamas and checked my phone for any messages. There were no messages so I climbed right into bed and as soon as my head hit the pillow I was fast asleep thinking about how lucky I was to be here.
