Anywhere But Where I was, chapter 1

My name is Claire and I'm 19 yrs old. I'm leaving my old life behind so I don't have to deal with it.

My mom died a few months back and my dad turned into a complete drugie/drinker. He beats me alot when hes drunk.

So I'm leaving my screwed up life and starting a new one!!!

Anyways back to the story


I took the first bus out of Longview, WA. In my bag of stuff alls I had is my Green Day cds, a cd player, some food, picture of my mom, my dad and I when we where happy, some money, and some clothes. I was leaving for California since I only had enough money to make it there.

Once I got to Berkanly I got off the bus. I couldnt pay to go anywhere else so I got off here.

As I walked down the empty street I notice a cat, no wait a dog laying in the middle of the road. I run out to the dog to see if it was alive.

The dog whimpered when I nelt down next to it. I didnt want to pick it up so I stood up and beckoned the dog to me.

"Come on puppy." I said to it.

The dog got up and walked a little torwards me. I figured it was following so I kept walking to the sidewalk not looking back.



SKREECH!!!

I hear a car slam on its brake and a dog yelp out in pain.

I turn around and....
