The Rights Of Cali: What Are You Going To Do, Billie?...Kill Me?, chapter 6

For that split second her heart just snapped in two, she couldn't believe her eyes. Seeing Billie there, totally off his face with his lips wrapped around another...sluttier girl?
She felt a tear break the surface of the corner of her eye as she looked at the dumb founded Billie Joe.

"Cali! Wait!" She heard Billie call, but she ran. She pushed her way through the sweaty crowd, she didn't want Billie to come a step further but she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned around and looked at him, his eyes were filled with guilt. A guilt he wasn't yet realizing.

"Get your fucking hand off me! And stay the fuck away from me! I don't believe in you anymore," She felt the anger bubble up inside of her, just imagining the girl on his lips.

"I'm-" She just tore her eyes from him and ran.

She ran out of Gilman and never wanted to go back, she couldn't understand why she had been so dumb for this guy after all these years. He used to beat her up!

She just blamed herself. She was the stupid one and now there was no turning back.

Even though...he broke up with her not so long ago, but that's not the point! She said she wouldn't be able to trust him and once he had left her...she had started to regret it, but after seeing what she had just seen, it proved her right.

And she never wanted to see Billie Joe again.

She ran down the street, she had walked to Gilman to go and set things straight with him. But no, she saw him it. The thing she had expected him to do. And now, she was running away from it.

She stopped once or twice, when her mind just caved in. So she sat on curbs and let the tears just stream down her face, a feeling she had lost. But now, she had every reason to cry.

She finally got to the Armstrong household, the place where she could no longer live, and the place she could no longer call home.

She ran inside, only to see Ollie sitting on the couch.

"What's the matter Cali?!" Ollie asked, looking at Cali's wet cheeks. Cali just shook her head.

"Nothing, I've just gotta leave Ollie...thank you for everything you have done, but I have to go. Thank you," Cali said, barely able to talk. Ollie just stood there dumb struck. She knew Billie had done something wrong, she just wasn't expecting it.

Cali ran up the stairs and to Annie's old room, she quickly got out her bag and threw everything she owned into it. She was throwing her old life in there aswell. She rushed out, but stopped before she ran back down the stairs. She turned around and went to Billie Joe's room...

She slowly walked into the door, with her bag slung over her shoulder.
She looked into the mesy room, feeling a tear roll down her face, but she quickly wiped it away. She looked at all the trash and pieces of paper lying on the floor, straightaway feeling what Billie Joe was like. But she brushed it off and picked up a piece of paper that was on the floor and found a pen that was on his unmade bed.

I DON'T WANT TO FALL IN LOVE.

She dropped the pen and left the note on his pillow, Hoping that he would see it, after all...he might be bringing a little company with him tonight.
She huffed and smirked at the room as she left.

"Good fucking riddance asshole."

Ollie tried to stop her, she didn't want to see Cali go. But she knew, that maybe things would sort out with her and Billie, and that maybe Cali would return. So she let her go, in hope of seeing her again.

Cali wasn't thinking the same way.

But now, she had no where to go. No family to run to, no shelter.
As she walked down the street she was leaving, she looked at her old house, with a 'for sale' sign out of the the front of it.
She knew the house was empty, she knew all of the places in that house. She couldn't find a way in...if something was unlocked.
So she went over to the back fence and climbed over, after she had thrown her bag over, she picked it back up and walked to the back door.
She went up to it and turned the door handle, and stupidly...it was left unlocked.
She rolled her eyes and walked in. Feeling all these memories flood in, she walked through the old kitchen. Remembering the phone call that Lucy took when she was going to be put in boarding school. She then made her way to the stairs, she looked up at them, all the house was dark, she flicked on the light and made her way up.
She finally got to her old room, she opened the door and looked in, it was empty. Nothing of what she remembered was in there, it made her feel empty too.
Like a part of her life was just stripped away from her, because she had known it for so long.

She dropped her bag, and opened it. Putting on an extra layer of clothes, because it was going to be cold, sleeping on the hard wood floors.

She finally made herself a little bed on the floor, almost comfortable to sleep on.
She was just going to stay there for the night, it wasn't like she was going to be a hobo and sleep there for the rest of her life.
She laid down and closed her eyes, pushing away Billie Joe every time he came to her mind, she tried to think about something different. Like what it would be like if she was still living with her family, and she went through all the memories of when she was in school, with her friends, that she hadn't seen for over a year or two.

Her eyes closed and she drifted off to sleep, she heard the wind howl as the rain started to pour down.

"Cali!?" She quickly woke up, thinking it was just her dreams. But when she looked up, she saw Mike standing at the doorway. He ran over to her.
"Holy shit Cali! We have been fucking looking for you everywhere!" Mike yelled out, happy that he had found her.

"What the fuck Mike!? Just leave me alone!" She yelled out, trying to ginore him as she tightened the shirt that covered her.
Mike sighed and sat down.

"I knew you were going to be in here...you left the light on, and no one lives here anymore." She just closed her eyes, not wanting to hear anything at all.

"Mike...I really don't wanna talk right now."

"We were fucking worried about you Cali."

"So what?"

"I know about what Billie did...And I can tell you, he is sure as fuck regretting it..." He said, she sighed and sat straight infront of him. He could see the hurt in her eyes.

"I just can't believe he did that to me..." She said, feeling a sting come to her eyes.

"Me either...but, you guys did have a pretty big fight before...and you know Billie, he gets real high when his head is out of order...and he then does stupid fucked up things," Mike said, she looked down.

"It's still doesn't change the fact that he hurt me, and we had a fight about me not trusting him while you guys are gone!"

"I see...well, I don't think there is anything I can do...maybe that's just it...there is nothing we can do now, it's just over..." Hearing him say that made her heart turn to lead. She felt a tear fall down, he sighed and frowned at her, feeling sorry for what she had been through these past months.
He lent forward and hugged her, she hugged him back.
He let go and looked at her, he smiled. Making her feel a bit of happiness in the pit of her stomach. She smiled back.
"Now come back home, forget about Billie...me, Tre and Ollie are worried sick about you ...even Kelly is there," He said, she laughed and got up, she packed up all her stuff with the help of Mike and they walked out of the old house and went back to the Armstrong house hold.
Of course, being drenched by the rain. Cali took a deep breath in, Mike looked at her.
"It's o.k...Billie is probably feeling no better then what you are...so just ignore him. o.k?" She nodded and he opened up the door.

"Oh Cali!" Ollie yelled out, running to Cali. After being worried sick about her, Kelly was standing there with Tre.

"Mike found me..." Cali said, in Ollie's hug.

"Thank god..." Ollie said, with a big smile on her face, then she hugged Mike for finding her. Cali walked over to Tre and Kelly.

"Sorry...about what happened Cali..." Kelly said, not wanted to let Ollie know what happened.

"It's o.k."

"Now...Kelly and Tre...you can stay the night, seeing as though you boys have to leave tomorrow...Kelly you can stay up in Cali's room. Mike and Tre...you can share."

"Yay!" Tre said, hugging Cali.

"What do you mean...leaving tomorrow?" Cali asked, looking at both Tre and Mike.

"We're going on tour...overseas...to Europe, didn't Billie tell you?" Tre said, Cali's eyes shot open.

"No!"

"Well...we leave for the airport tomorrow afternoon..." Mike said, thinking that Billie would of told her.

"Well...We only have a day to say good bye then." Cali said, smiling to them. Pushing the anger to the back of her mind.

As Mike and Tre went off, Kelly helped Cali put her stuff back, as Ollie went to bed.

"Night Billie Joe..." Cali heard Ollie say.

"I can't believe he did that to you..." Kelly whispered.

"I don't care anymore, as far as I'm concerned...Billie can go fuck himself," Cali whispered back, she heard Kelly laugh.

"Y'know...this is the first time I've had a sleep over at someone elses house," Cali laughed softly and looked at Kelly.

"Really?" she asked.

"Yeah...no one really wanted to come to my house, they were scared of my dad..." Kelly said. Cali nodded.

"Well, this is your first sleep over...and what a night to have it aswell," Kelly laughed.

Cali pulled out the spare matress from under her bed, and helped Kelly make a place for her to sleep on.

"O.k...we won't be talking about Billie...and what happened. Promise?...'cause I really don't want to be thinking about it."

"Promise...now, let's fucking sleep...it's like fucking 3 am..." Kelly said, laying down, Cali sighed and went in her bed.

"So..what happened to Jussi?" Kelly smiled to herself in the darkness.

"He is the fucking best...but Ollie came looking for me, because she said that you ran off...so he had to leave, so I went with Ollie...I'm seeing him again the day after tomorrow."

"Oh...you better keep that guy."

Kelly being there with Cali made her feel better about what had happened. It was like it never happened at all.

Billie couldn't sleep, there was no way, his head was pounding, and he just kept in replaying over and over again about what he did. He could barely remember the girls face.
He turned his head, and he felt a piece of paper stick to his cheek. He peeled it off and looked at it, he couldn't see anything so he turned on the lamp.
His eyes could barely read it, but after looking at it a few times. He could finally read what it read.

I DON'T WANT TO FALL IN LOVE.

He pulled back the sheets and went over to Cali's room, he had heard everyone talking to Cali, and he could hear her voice before. So he knew she was back.
He peeked through the door and whispered her name.

She wasn't sleeping, and she heard him. But she didn't want to talk to him, so she ignored him. It was hard to do that, but she did, she kept her eyes closed.

He got the hint...

The next afternoon couldn't have come quicker, there they were. Ollie, Kelly and Cali. All standing out the front, looking at the boys they wouldn't see for another few months. And they were sure that when they would come back, they will have changed.

Cali hadn't talked to Billie that whole day, there were times where Billie would come over to her and try to say something, but she walked away.
