You can't take her with you., chapter 5
"Where's Marissa?" Joey asked at dinner.
"She's sleeping." Adie said.
"Is something wrong?" Jakob asked and looked at me.
"It's well.. I think you should know it too. Her Mom died." Joey and Jakob were shocked.
"I'll look after her." I said and stood up.
Slowly I opened the door to Marissa's room and saw her still asleep. She looked like a little angel. Her hair was messed up and she had a little smile on her face.
After a week it seemed that normal life would come back. I was sitting with Marissa on the couch watching some cartoons. She was very quiet in the last days. After an hour Marissa fell asleep. Adie came into the room and gave me a kiss on the cheek.
"Hey Baby." I said softly and kissed her back.
"She's so sweet." Adie said smiling.
"Yeah, she really is. I have to ask you something." I said, grabbed Adie's hand and went into the kitchen with her.
"Is it okay for you when she's staying here, well yeah you told me a while ago it's okay, but I'm not sure anymore. Because she's not your daughter.. " I said nervously.
"Billie it's okay! I love her like she's my own daughter!" Adie interrupted me and put her arms around my neck. "There's nothing to worry about." She said smiling. I loved this smile.
"I love you." I whispered.
"Billie..." She said laughing when my hands went down her back.
"Have I told you that you're hot?" I said softly and we started making out.
"Daddy?" A little sleepy Marissa stood in the door way and rubbed her eyes. "Do you tuck me in?"
"Sure Baby." I said, picked her up and went with her and Adie upstairs.
"See you later Adie." I gave Adie my sexy look and a kiss on the cheek.
"Daddy?"
"Yes?"
"Where is Mommy?" Marissa asked when I put the sheets on her.
"In heaven." I answered and sat down on the bed. "Good night."
"Night Daddy." She said softly and closed her eyes. I gave her a kiss on the cheek and turned off the lights. On the way to the bedroom I walked through the hallway where the walls were covered with pictures. One picture showed me on my Dad's lap when I was a little boy. A tear ran down my cheek. I missed him so much. Mom always said he would be proud of me. With my wonderful wife, my wonderful kids, my band, my big house and everything I reached in my life.
Before I went on going to the bedroom I remembered the great times I spent with Dad and I had to smile. When I turned my head Marissa was standing there right in front of me.
"Hey.. What are you doing here?" I asked.
"I can't sleep Daddy. What are you doing?"
"I just looked after Joey and Jakob."
"And why have you looked at this picture for so long?" Marissa kept on asking.
"I just thought of old times." I said and picked her up. "Let's go to bed."
When I tucked her in I finally went to the bedroom. Adie was asleep so I tried to be quiet. Tired I put off my clothes and lay down on the bed.
"Mhm" Adie mumbled in her sleep and grabbed my hand. Before I fell asleep I thought of Dad again. I was sure, he would be proud of me.
"Adie let's go to the beach! It's my last day before I have to go to the studio." I said in the next morning.
"Good idea." Adie agreed with me.
"Could you put on your hot black bikini?" I whispered in her ear.
"Maybe. If you're a good boy."
"I always am!" I laughed and went into Marissa's room. She was already awake and jumped on her bed up and down.
"Good morning little dancing queen."
"Hi Daddy" She said smiling and kept on jumping.
"Do you wanna go to the beach?"
"Yeeeah!" She said excited.
"Have you ever been to the beach?" I asked and picked her up.
"No I just have seen it on TV."
"Okay then let's find a bathing suit for you."
"I can wear one from Adie." Marissa suggested.
"Mhm, I think they won't fit you. Let's search in your closet."
I found a pink little bathing suit and after I helped her putting it on I went with her downstairs. Joey and Jakob were already running around in their shorts. I could see Adie had put on the black bikini which I really liked. I smiled at her and she giggled.
After I put on my black shorts we left the house.
"She's sleeping." Adie said.
