A Fork Stuck In The Road., chapter 13
Since then, Tre and I did it a lot more frequently. I would tell Adie and Billie Joe that I was sleeping over at Marrisa's house, and Tre would come and pick me up after school. I felt guilty, but I wanted to spend time with Tre.
I walked into the piano room, as I had decided to call it, and sat down on the piano stool. It had been so long since I had placed my hands on ivory keys; my fingers felt at home. I decided to randomly play the first piece that came to mind; a piece called 'a little flower'. As T.S Eliot once said, "You are the music while the music lasts." and I was the music.
I played the ending notes, and held the pedal down, letting the last chords vibrate around the room. I sighed, thinking that I should probably make a start on homework.
I got up off the stool and turned around, where I saw Billie, standing behind me.
I didn't realise he was there.
"You're really good!" he exclaimed.
I smiled awkwardly. "Thanks."
I hated it when people listen to me playing piano.
"Do you reckon you could play this?" he said, showing me a page in a piano book. It was a duet.
"Yeah," I said scanning the page.
We both sat down on the piano stool, and started to play the duet. It was a beautiful song, for some reason it reminded me of the summers my sister and I spent together, playing outdoors.
We finished and just sat there, letting the beauty of the music sink into our minds.

I rolled over and glanced at the clock. I quickly decided to go back to sleep; seven o'clock was far too early on a Saturday morning.
I slept till about eight, then wondered downstairs, which, by the look of it, was deserted.
I reached the kitchen, and made my self some coffee.
I wondered into the living room with my mug. All the lights were off in this room, and the curtains were closed. I could barley see anything. Then, all of a sudden, people from nowhere shouted, "Happy birthday Emily!".
The lights turned on, illumination the room. It was full of friends and family. The room was decorated with balloons, streamers, and a banner that hung of the ceiling. It read, 'Happy 18th Birthday Emily!'
I beamed, still surprised.
"Wow... I so didn't expect this! Thanks a tonne!"
Adie came up to me, and said, "You're welcome, birthday girl. Happy birthday!"
Every one cheered and started talking to other people they knew.
I turned to Adie and Billie Joe who had approached.
"Thank you so much!" I said. I had never gotten a surprise party before.
They smiled, and I hugged them both.
I made rounds of the party, thanking everyone very much for coming, and for their present. There was a table at the back of the room, stacked with presents that everyone had brought me, but I was going to open them when everyone left.
"Happy birthday, sexy legs," someone whispered in my ear from behind me. I smiled, knowing who it was, and turned around.
I wrapped my arms around Tre's neck, and he wrapped his around my waist.
"Thanks," I said, kissing him hard on the lips.
"You know, now we're legal," Tre stated, a seductive smile playing at his lips.
I snorted. "Like that's ever bothered you before,"
"Don't pretend you didn't like it; you know you want me,"
I threw my head back and laughed, partially because it was true, and because of his eyebrows waggling up and down.
I kissed him again. He kept kissing me back softly, and then he sucked my neck, his hands rubbed against the back of my thighs. I moaned, a little louder than I had intended. A couple of people turned to look at us. I felt my face flush red.
"Meet me in the bathroom in a minute," Tre whispered to me.
"Tre! No, we can't..." but he had already walked off, with a triumphant smirk painted on his face, knowing that he would be seeing me in the bathroom very shortly.
I sighed, and grabbed some food, before heading off to the bathroom.
I opened the door and Tre's arms pulled me in, scarcely giving me enough time to close the door. He pinned me against the wall, his hands supporting him above my shoulders, and his body grinding against mine. He started kissing my neck, then my mouth. All the while trying to take off my shirt, while I was trying to undo his jeans.
I had stripped down to my bra and underwear, while he was just in his boxers, and we were passionately kissing, leaning against the wall. He moaned against my lips, and murmured softly, "I want you so bad."
We were just about to get right into it, when there was a loud knocking on the door.
I gasped, and fumbled quickly for my shirt. Tre quickly pulled his over his head, and helped me with mine.
"Is any one using the toilet?" Billie Joe's voice rang through.
"Yes, I am," Tre and I both yelled out at the same time.
We turned to each other, mortified.
There wasn't a peep from the other side of the door, and I thought that he hadn't heard us for a second. But then, we heard Billie Joe laughing hysterically on the other side of the door.
The only things that ran through my mind at that second was a whole bunch of swear words.
"I-I nee-eed to use the t-toilet!" panted Billie Joe, who was having a little trouble speaking because he was still laughing so hard. He was gasping for air in between sobs of laughter.
"Use one of the other six freakin toilets in this house!" I said, pissed off now that he had ruined our time.
"But this one is my favourite!" whined Billie. He had calmed down a bit, but I could hear the grin at his lips, and an occasional giggle.
"Alright, alright, just let us get dressed, and we'll be out in a minute." Tre said, clearly annoyed.
We got dressed, with Tre whispering quietly in my ear that we'd find another time today.
I opened the door, only to face a smirking-so-hard-his-face-would-break-in-two Billie Joe, who didn't even bother to hold in his laughter as he walked into the bathroom.
I flipped him off and walked down stairs with Tre, and started circulating again.
I was delighted to see that Adie had invited some of my school friends; Marrisa and a lot of other friends I had made in the past few months.
Everyone slowly started to leave at around two; apparently they had all been here since seven thirty.
I walked into the piano room, as I had decided to call it, and sat down on the piano stool. It had been so long since I had placed my hands on ivory keys; my fingers felt at home.
