So we finally went home, and, once again, we were all over the news. I laughed.
"We're on the news WAY too much," I laughed.
"Don't we know it," Billie muttered. We unlocked the door, and Tre jumped me.
"Dude, Tre, get off," I said, trying to push him off. "Tre-OFF."
"But I was worried!" Tre whined, pouting. But he got off and sat in front of me. Mike came over and hoisted him up, and Nick helped me up.
"Hi Mike," I said, trying not to laugh, because Tre just jumped on Mike's back. "Hitchin' a ride there, Tre?"
"Yes!" Tre exclaimed, then jumped off and started dancing. Okay, that's something I don't want to see again.
"Did I damage your head when that water bottle cap hit you? Because I'll buy you a new brain."
"He had terminal brain damage to begin with, Kay. It's not your fault," Billie Joe laughed.
"Good point. He'll never be normal."

So I went and helped Adrienne fix lunch, and the guys sat there staring at the flat screen, which wasn't turned on. I silently walked behind them, took the remote, and turned it on.
Oh, jeez, the look on Tre and Jake's faces were priceless! They looked scared shitless! The rest of them just looked confused, and Billie Joe looked over at the kitchen, and saw Adrienne trying not to burst out laughing, and figured out it was me.
"KAY!" he yelled, jumping over the part of the couch I was hiding behind.
"No!" I laughed, dodging him. "Don't hurt me!"
"He might not, but I will!" Mike said, hoisting me up on his shoulder. I started pounding his back, and as I said, I'm strong, and he quickly put me down. "Now I have a backache. THANKS."
"Any time, my friend, any time," I grinned, then Billie came and did the same thing. But he was smart enough to keep hold on my arms. "Billie Joe! What are you going to do to me!?"
"Something," he smirked. I knew this wasn't good for me. He went outside, and I figured out what he was going to do.
"BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG! YOU BETTER NOT DUMP ME IN MY POOL!" I yelled, trying to get away.
"Haha, nice try," he laughed as he dumped me. I went in, and because the idiot dropped me in the shallow end, I wound up hitting my head, and blacked out.

BILLIE'S POV

Shit, not again.
I dove in after her, and I guess everyone else heard the splash, because they all wandered out.
"KAY!" I heard Adie yell, and she ran over and took her from me. "Billie Joe, what happened? Did you dump her in?"
"Um... yes?" I answered very quietly, because I knew I got in BIG trouble. Probably from Adie and Kay.
"I told you someone was going to get hurt someday. Now look. You're lucky she's waking up."
And Adie was right. Kay was waking up. Coughing and sputtering, but waking up.
"My head," she groaned, trying to sit up, but with no luck.
"Let me see," Adie ordered, and took a look at the back of Kay's head. "That's pretty nasty. You must have hit your head pretty hard." She looked at the group. "Can I get some towels here?" Jake ran into the house, and came back with 3 hand towels.
"Thanks, Jake," Adrienne said, pressing one on the back of Kay's head.

KAY'S POV

I'm going to kill Billie, and he knows it. I don't like water unless I want to get wet. Well, I never told them that, so I'm a little at fault, too. I just wish my head would stop hurting. I think it's bleeding. But Adrienne's nice enough to take care of me, so I'm lucky.

I soon went inside and put some ice on my head. Once I saw the first towel, I told Adie, "Just throw it out. We can't use it anymore." It was soaked with blood. I'm guessing this was pretty bad.
"I'm taking you to the doctor," Adrienne said, getting the car keys. "If any of you want to come, go in Mike's truck." Then we walked out, ice still on my head, to my doctor's office.

They got me in immediately, seeing as how I was the worst case there. Knowing my history for injuries, one of the nurses asked, "How did you do this one?"
"Getting dropped into the shallow end of my pool. From dry land," I said as Billie looked quite ashamed.
"Ouch."
"Yeah, I just want the bleeding to stop." She examined my injury, but didn't take long, as it bled too much without pressure on it.
"You know you're most likely going to need stitches," she said, writing something down on my paper work.
"Meh. Joy," I muttered. I think Joey heard me, because he was trying not to laugh. I grinned at him.
"Where did Tre disappear to?" I asked, and then Tre came in following a nurse. He had a lollipop in his mouth. "Don't explain," I laughed, and Tre once again looked confused. Billie Joe kicked him and pointed to a chair, meaning for him to sit down. Tre sat, but continued staring at the nurse. I saw a little ball on the table next to me, picked it up, and threw it at Tre's head.
"What was that for!?" he cried as it hit him. "Why must you bully me?"
"Because you're the oldest person here I can bully. Besides, you're the most fun to throw things at because you never see them coming." Everyone was laughing, even the nurses, and Tre sat there pouting.

A few minutes later, the doctor came in, and it was only me, the doctor, Billie, and Adie. The rest were standing out in the hall.
"Yes, you are going to need stitches," Dr. Anderson said. She's cool. "I honestly don't know how you keep getting injuries like this."
"This one wasn't my fault!" I yelled defensively. Once again, Billie hung his head.
"Don't worry about it," Dr. Andy (as I called her) laughed, looking at Billie Joe. "She doesn't hold a grudge against you more than a day if she likes you." He perked up at that.

"Owowowowow," I whimpered as the stitches were put in my head. I was tightly holding on to Billie's hand, and he looked as if he were expecting it to fall off from lack of blood circulation. I guess he saw me looking, and he smiled at me. In about a half-hour, we came out, and my head was bandaged. Tre laughed, and poked it, but I whacked him alongside his head. I didn't care. I was hurting, and didn't want more pain. Billie Joe quickly explained this to him. We paid the receptionist and left. I had ice on my head back in the car, and eventually fell asleep.

I was dreaming again. That nightmare. I hate it. I keep seeing my family members; they float by as I can do nothing but stand there. It's awful. I guess Billie Joe heard me moaning, and he woke me up.
"Thank you," I said, rubbing my eyes.
"Any time," he replied, not taking his eyes off the road. "So what's up with this nightmare?" I looked at him horrified, then quickly looked away.
"I don't want to talk about it. It's nothing."
"Yeah right. Me and Jake look in on you a lot when you're screaming for help in your sleep, but you quiet down when you hear the door open."
"I can't help that. I'm always having nightmares. It's not my fault I can sometimes see the future in my dreams."
"Really? You can?" Adrienne asked.
I looked back at her. "Yeah. I've been able to since I was a little kid. If it's something I know would happen, it's like deja-vu to me in real life. But I can't remember what anyone says, in real life or the dream."
"That's really cool."
"Yeah, but I've only had one case like that so far, and the rest just tell me what to expect in my future, like if I move, or if one of my friends is in danger, something like that."

We got in the house and I just went and laid down on my bed. The adults came in a few minutes later, well, except Tre. Someone needed to keep Nick, Joey, and Jake entertained. Adrienne climbed over and brushed the hair that was covering my face away to reveal I was crying.
"Are you sure you're alright, Kay?" Adie asked.
"No. My head feels like it's going to explode, not to mention the stinging sensation." I cried. "It just hurts so bad."
"Kay, I-I'm really sorry," Billie Joe muttered. He looked like he was going to start crying, too.
"It's not your fault. I'm the one who decided to play that trick on you guys."
"I'm the one who threw you into the pool, though."
"Billie," I sat up and looked at him. "It's alright. I'll recover. It's not like I'm gone or anything."

BILLIE'S POV

Kay eventually fell asleep. Me and Mike stepped out, and Adrienne talked to her for a while. Adrienne put on some music, I think it was Kerplunk!, because I heard Christie Road, her favorite song on that album.
"I thought the poor girl would never go to sleep," Adrienne whispered to me as she shut Kay's door. "She feels tormented by herself, I think."
"Why?"
"First her family, the hospital visits, the kidnapping, and now this. But what she's worried the most about is you, Billie."
"Me? Why?"
"She doesn't want you to blame yourself for her injury."
"But it's my fault."
"She realizes you're the one who threw her in, but also blames herself because of that trick."
"Is she still awake?"
"Maybe. If she isn't, please don't wake her up."
So I walked into Kay's room as quietly as I could. Kay was sitting up in her bed, looking at a picture album. I don't think she heard me come in.
"Kay?" She looked my way, but didn't say anything. "Are you alright?" She nodded. I sighed. "You're not."
"Take you long to figure that out?" Kay said staring at a picture.
"Who're they?" I asked, pointing at a small picture with a lot of people in it.
"My entire family, except for Christie, who wasn't born yet. She's still alive, but is with other family. She was spared because she never knew me. They didn't think she'd ever come looking for me if she never knew I was alive."
"So you have one family member left."
"One, who I'll never meet." She closed the book, then picked up what looked like a yearbook. "It's my 6th grade yearbook." For the first time in a long time, she smiled.
"That's a lot of signatures."
"I know. 38, to be exact." She showed me her teachers from that year, and the previous years. And her classmates. "Well, you know Nick, Matt, and Derek, and Heather, she's one of my best friends." She pointed out her group that'd she'd been friends with since 5th grade, and then shut the book. "I need some sleep. It's only nine, but I'm tired."
"Alright. See you in the morning?"
She laughed. "Promise."
"Night."
"Night."
