What Did I Ever Do To You?, chapter 6
June, 1990
*Holly's POV*
It was graduation time. I had a wonderful 2 years at the University of Michigan. I had a great boyfriend, the one and only Jack who was on the plane with me. I was standing in line, getting ready to get my diploma, and as anxious as ever. I minored in Drama, and Criminal Justice was my major. I wanted to become an actress, first of all. I already had an agent, and he was waiting until I graduated to put my name out there, and advertise me for movies. No doubt I'd be a great actress, I'd been one since I was born, or at least old enough to keep the truth from anyone.
When we threw our hats into the air and caught them, the only person there who accepted me was smiling down on me, with gracious brown eyes. Jack.
"Come on, Robbie's waiting to take us back to California." Jack said, tugging on my arm and leading me to Robbie's car, which there was no Robbie present.
"What is going on?" I said as Jack opened the door to the back seat and pulled me in on top of him.
"Rob's not coming back for a little while." Jack said devillishly to me, and closed the door.
"Oh really?" I said, giving Jack a quick kiss on the lips. I meant to pull away, but Jack pulled me back, to which I wasn't complaining.
"Yeah. We have the car to ourselves for about an hour. Any idea what you'd like to do?" Jack said, kissing me and smiling again.
"Well, yeah, a few." I said seductively, and pulled Jack on top of me.
"All righty, then." Jack said, and crashed his lips onto mine.

After graduation, Jack, Robbie, and I got on a plane back to California. It turns out Jack lived in Berkeley, and he had a band from high school. Jack played the guitar and he led the vocals, his friend Chris was the bass player and had the back-up vocals, and then Greg was the drummer.
"Hello, Mr. Livermore." Chris said in a very business-like tone to Jack.
"Hi, Chris. Wanna come over and jam? Greg's already there." Jack said quickly.
"And who might this be?" Chris said, ignoring Jack's last statement and looking me up and down. I was about to slap him when Jack said something.
"My girlfriend from college, you idiot." and then Jack slapped him on the back of the head.
"You know, if you're so violent, maybe I won't come to play with you." Chris said, and rubbed the spot on his head where Jack hit him, obviously faking real pain.
"Alright, fine, I guess we'll just have to get a new bass-player then..." Jack said and started walking off, me right behind him.
"Oh, no, I'm coming!" Chris said, jumping out of his front door with an obvious bass in his hand.
"Good." Jack said, and the three of us walked back to Jack's house.
The band, called Leakage, was pretty good. I mean, they needed to work on a few things, but I didn't want to spoil the fun of my boyfriend goofing around with his friends for some minor glitches.

A couple days later, Jack came up to me, very excited. I had managed to find myself a small apartment, which I paid for with the money I got from doing 4 commercials a month.
"What?" I asked Jack, who was still beaming at me.
"We're playing at Gilman!" Jack said, and handed over the schedule list of who was playing the following night. I scanned the list, and found Leakage, pretty early on in the set. I looked farther down and saw a name that I thought I would never see again - Sweet Children. Playing at 9:30 that night. Did they play there before? I wasn't sure. But I wanted to see Billie and Mike again, and maybe this was the only time I would ever get to see them.
"Can I come?" I asked.
"What are you talking about?" Jack asked, staring at me with a you-know-you're-coming look. "Of course you're coming! Why would you think you weren't?"
"Oh good," I said, one hurdle out of the way. The only reason I asked was because he was spending a lot less time with me, what with my commercials and his band, but we still found time for each other.
"And are we staying much longer after you've finished playing?" I asked again.
"Only if you want to." Jack said, kissing me.
"I want to." I said, kissing him back.
"Good. Then we will." Jack said, pushing me up against a wall.
"Here?" Jack asked me, as if I cared.
"Mmmmm." I said, which meant yes to me, and was good enough for Jack, so he went back to kissing me.... and more.

*Billie's POV*
I was excited about playing Gilman tomorrow. I mean, we have played for a while, but I thought we were really getting good. Al was a pretty good drummer, I mean he could be doing better, but who was I to complain? I had a band, and that was all I really cared about.
I looked through the list one more time. The band called Leakage were our rivals. Of course, we were one of the favorite's a Gilman, that's why were were playing at 9:30 at night. But Leakage was coming up, and coming strong. We were the same age, and they hated our guts. Well, we hated theirs right back. And the lead singer, Jack I think his name was, was a complete loser. I mean, he wasn't even good looking. Every time I saw him there, watching people play, he was with a different girl every time. I even saw one girl with him when I was driving by his garage, watching their band practice. The girl looked familiar, but I couldn't quite place who it was because I passed so quickly.
"Mike, look, Leakage is playing again." I said, throwing the band list down on the kitchen table. My mom let Mike move in with us, which he was grateful for. He spent almost all of his time at my house anyways.
"What time?" Mike asked, flipping through the channels on the living room TV.
"Umm... 7:30. Ha! We're playing two hours later than them!" I said, and doing a small victory dance in the kitchen, where I scooted over to the fridge to find no more beer left, so I grabbed a coke.
"Hey Mike, want a Coke?" I asked.
"What happened to the beer?" Mike asked back.
"None left." I replied.
"Sure."
I grabbed Mike's Coke and shook it up, just for laughs. When I entered the living room, I threw him his Coke and started looking at movies we might be able to watch, on the other side of the room, so I wasn't splattered with Coke. I heard Mike open the Coke and it burst. I turned around and laughed at him.
"Billie!" Mike screeched and walked slowly into the kitchen to somewhat clean himself off, while I was still laughing my head off.
