Billie's Hidden Note, chapter 5
Adie realized the boys were watching her and tried to stop crying. Billie ushered the boys into the next room. She overheard Billie explain that "they might be having another brother or sister." Joey understood and went upstairs with Jakob to try and explain it to him. Billie walked back into the room and sat down beside Adie.
After a while he said,"Uhhh we should probably go to the drug store and get one of those tests." Adie nodded silently and went into the car. After dropping the kids of at Mike's house they were forced to explain what they were doing.
Billie got in the car after quietly telling Mike that Adie might be pregnant. They continued to thr drug store, got the test, and went home. They decided to pick the boys up later, after they knew if there was going to be an addition to the Armstrong family. Adie walked into the bathroom and took the test. It was one of the tests that you had to wait 10 minutes to see the results. Billie had read the directions before and the couple sat in silence, before Adie said,"Do you want another baby?"
Quickly, Billie replied,"Of course, you know I want as many children as we can have."
Quietly, Adie said,"Boy or girl?"
Billie, thinking for a moment responded,"Girl. I've always wanted a little girl."
Later.
Billie said,"Do you remember when you were pregnant with Joey?" We woke up after having some great sex(said with a glint in his eyes) and you said,"Holy Crap...". Billie was now watching Adie smile as he continued "...from the sitting room. I jumped out of bed and ran over to you and you screamed, 'I'm 4 fucking days late Billie. I'm fucking pregnant.'"
Adie laughed as she remembered. She said, "What about when I was pregnant with Jakob? I told you I was pregnant and without saying anything you went and picked me up." Billie was laughing now. Adie continued, "You picked me up, kissed me and put me the car. We drove to Mike's house and we walked in the back door. You ran up to Mike, jumped on him and screamed 'She's fucking pregnant' over and over again. Then without waiting for Mike's reaction you picked me up, put me in the car, and drove to Tre's house. You did the same thing there. When you were driving home, I told you that we forgot Joey at home. You swore and sped all the way home where we made out on the couch for 3 hours. That was fun" Billie laughed in reminsce. He pulled Adie into a sweet embrace and they remained like that.
Billie looked at his phone and said," It's time to look." After sighing Adie got up and Billie followed. Billie said, "Blue is yes. White is no" Adie closed her eyes and looked at the stick. She opened them and read the stick. She threw all the stuff away and when she saw Billie's puzzled look she nodded. After seeing this Billie said,"You're pregnant?" Adie nodded again and started to cry. She stopped when she heard a knock on the door. She and Billie went downstairs and Billie opened the door. They both were amazed when they saw Danielle standing at the door. Mike pulled up behind at the curb with Tre behind him. Everyone was amazed to see Danielle, but no one knew why she was there.
