Devil May Cry: Billie's Awakening, chapter 10
Mike was finally in the activation chamber. It was a huge circular room that had a circle carved into the ground. This was where the amulets and blood would go. Mike walked up to the circle and the amulets connected by themselves. They went into the circle. Now Mike had to sacrifice some of his blood. He pulled out his sword and pressed it against the inside of his hand. Grimacing in pain, he slid his sword all the way down his hand very slowly, to make sure enough blood would come out of his hand. He put his sword away and held his hand above the circle to let the blood drip out of his hand. The ritual was now complete. Hell on earth would become a reality.
The next room Billie was in was not really much. It had a mask on a statue at the end. And... that was about it. Billie took the mask and backtracked back to the waterfall. Another statue was there. He put the mask on and it revealed a bridge to continue on. It led to a door. Inside, there was what looked like a trail of blood leading out to another room. Next to it was a man. It looked like he had crawled a VERY long way from where he was injured.
Billie went up for a closer look. It was that Tre guy again. It looked like he irritated Mike one too many times. He appeared to be dead. Billie felt kind of bad for him.
Billie heard some footsteps behind him. He turned around to find Mary staring in shock at Tre's body. She slowly turned her head to Billie.
"Did you kill him?"
Of course, Billie didn't, but he really didn't care that much.
"So what if I did?"
She pulled out her gun and pointed it at Billie. Why was she so mad?
"That man sacrificed his own wife to try to become a devil! He cared about no one! His heart was full of black! And to top it all off, that scum is my father!"
"Then why are you so mad if he's dead?" Billie said. She was delusional.
"This was my family matter! MY family! This was all supposed to end at MY hand!"
She wanted to shoot, but she couldn't. She set her gun down.
"Aren't you going to shoot?" questioned Billie. He snickered.
"Well, that's a switch."
"Just go. I don't care anymore."
As Billie walked out, he muttered, "Family, huh?"
Mary was looking at her father's body. She supposed she was happy that he was dead, but she really wanted to do it herself. However, she actually still had the chance. Tre had stirred. She pulled out her gun.
"You're still alive, I see."
Tre blinked his eyes.
"W... where am I? It's dark; I can't see anything."
He looked up to find Mary.
"Mary? Help me... where is your mother?"
"Oh... yes... that's right... I killed her."
Tre had a look of shock on his face
"What horrible thing have I done?!"
Tre started sobbing.
Mary now wasn't sure if she wanted to kill him now. He was on the ground, sobbing, with a fatal stab wound in his stomach. He looked pitiful.
"If only I didn't succumbed to his influence!"
"You mean you were possessed when you killed my mom?"
Tre coughed up blood. His face was incredibly white.
"Yes. I was manipulated by a devil named Mike."
Mary started crying, too.
Tre touched her face.
"You're such a sweet child... just...like... your... mother..."
His body went limp and cold. Tre had died.
"FATHER!" Mary screamed. She learned that he wasn't such a bad guy after all.
She now had only one objective in mind.
Kill Mike Dirnt.
