Devil May Cry: Billie's Awakening, chapter 9
Mike and Tre had finally reached the activation tower. Mike could take the two amulets and sacrifice some of his blood to bring back the world their father sealed off. However, Mike had something to say to Tre. He was ready to spring it on him.
The door opened, and Tre stood out of the way to let Mike through. Mike walked past him a little ways then stopped.
"Does that woman really bother you?" Mike asked.
"WHAT?!" Tre screamed. How did he know about Mary?
"I watched you confront her on the tower. I was looking down on you the entire time."
Tre couldn't believe his ears.
"Why didn't you kill her and get her out of the way? Perhaps because she is your daughter? Did some pesky fatherly love get in the way?"
"THAT'S NONE OF YOUR-AAGH!"
Mike had wheeled around and impaled Tre the same way he did to Billie. Tre had a mixed look of pain and shock on his face.
Mike began speaking to Tre, "To further research the black art of the devils, you sacrificed your loving wife to become a devil as well. Knowing this, I thought you would be more useful to me. But I was wrong."
Mike twisted his sword and plunged it further into Tre's gut.
"What about you?" Tre said through gritted teeth. His vision was starting to double. "You're an incomplete being as well. Both demon and human blood mingle in your veins."
"Shut up," said Mike, ripping out his sword. He slowly put it into its sheath. As soon as it clicked into place, Tre fell on the ground. It was a little feature of Mike's sword. Anything that was hit with it would become more and more destroyed until it was in its sheath completely.
"Now that I am here, I have no use for you."
Billie was in some sort of activation room. There was nothing working at the moment. He continued on. He was in a huge room that had a waterfall that took up most of the room. Behind, it looked like a cave. He went through the long and twisting corridor. He eventually came to a door with a woman carved in it. Billie walked through. Inside it looked like a small opera room. It looked deserted.
However, a demon-like woman that looked like the woman carved on the door appeared with a flash of lightning. She walked over to him.
"Hello," she said in a rather too-comforting way. "Is this the first time you've been here?"
"Uhhh...yeah it is. You'll be nice, won't you?"
"Oh yes. You'll never want to leave."
"Now that's what I'm talking about!" Billie said, drawing his sword. Something wasn't right about her.
She summoned a flock of electrical bats that swarmed around her.
"This'll be interesting," muttered Billie, charging her.
He slashed and slashed, but those bats kept protecting her. He did seem to be cutting them away from her, though. Finally, he de-batted her and she was defenceless. Billie seized the opportunity and finished her off. She was thrown backwards. Billie caught her.
"My, you are sweet," she said. However, she was suckering him and she tried to electrocute him with a bite from her teeth.
Billie simply moved his head. He pulled out a gun and shot her to weaken her. He still held onto her.
"You'd think so, wouldn't you?"
"Alright. I can help you on your journey. You know, your father was a handsome devil, but you are no slouch yourself."
She disappeared with a flash of lightning and turned into a new...guitar?
"SWEET!" Billie screamed. He was a pro at guitar playing. He played a few riffs to find that it summoned bats to help him tear past all those pesky demons.
"I wonder... ."
He devil triggered to see if anything changed. Of course, it did. He could play faster and summon more powerful bats overflowing with electricity. This was a weapon he could have fun with. He willed himself back to normal and headed into the next area, ready for whatever was thrown at him.
