The Best, Yet Worst Summer Ever, chapter 6

It has been a month since we last checked in with Dani and her "little problem". She was just about to finally go to the Green Day concert... with Jake. She put on her favourite Green Day shirt. It was black and had a heart and to guns pointing out. Then, she put on some blue jeans that were torn at the knees. But, when she was doing them up, she noticed that they were tighter than usual. She was beginning to gain weight due to the pregnancy.

Nooo...why is this happening? she thought to herself. She was bearly 2 months along. That's too early to be showing... Isn't it?

Dani eventually found some pants that fit her and put them on. Then she heard a beep of a horn. Jake must be here. She stepped outside and entered his mustang.

"Ready to go?" he said as she buckled her seatbelt.

"Of course," Dani said and Jake turned the key to start the ignition and all of a sudden the car was vibrating from the bass coming from the speakers. Jake admediately turned it down before they went deaf.

They drove there not really saying a word. And they got to the concert. Jake directed Dani to their seats. The only problem was... there were no seats. They were right in the mosh pit.

Soon the concert began. Billie Joe, Mike and Tré stepped out to greet their audience. Then the moshing began as Green Day began to play American Idiot. Jake was right in the action while Dani was trying not to get trampled on. The concert was amazing. It was just like Dani imagined it to be... and more. She sung along to all of her favourite songs. Her face went completely red when Billie Joe looked directly at HER while singing She. After a few hours, the concert was over. Jake found Dani and told her "There you are! I got us some backstage passes from some guy."

"Are you fucking serious?!!!" Dani screamed in amazement.

They were looking around for the nearest exit but there were too many people blocking the doors. "How are we gonna get out?" Dani said to Jake.

"Stay here... I'll find us a way out." And he was gone in the crowd.

Dani waited for about 10 minutes. She began to worry. What is something happened to him? She decide to finally tell him that she would tell him that she was pregnant. But where was he? She waited 5 minutes longer.

Finally, he returned. He grabbed Dani's hand and guided her out. Then, he directed her backstage. When Dani saw Green Day, she felt like she was gonna have a heart attack. They all came shook the hands of whoever had come.

"Hey, Beautiful!" Tré said in a flirty way making Dani blush like crazy.

They all hung out for about a half an hour, then they left. But when they were in the entrance of the building, there were still many people trying to get out and they were in a rush. Dani could feel herself being seperated from Jake. "Jake!" she called out but no reply. Then she felt herself fall on the floor hard and then everything went dark.

She woke up in a bed wearing a gown. She was at a hospital. There was a nurse entering the room. "Oh, you're awake!" She left the room and returned with a doctor followed by her parents.

"What happend?" Dani said in a confused way.

"You fainted at the concert. Don't you remember?" Her mother said in releif that she was awake.

"You were out for three days!" Her dad added.

"Where's Jake?" Dani asked as she sat up.

"You mean the guy who saved your life! He is in the waiting room." Her dad said, "If it weren't for him, you could be dead!"

"Ummm... dad... If it weren't for him, I wouldn't be pregnant right now either." Dani said in a cautious way in fear of her dad's mood changing.

"You mean..." Her mother had it figured out. "He's the father of your baby!"

"Yes..." Dani said still cautiously.

"Does the asshole know?" her dad spoke.

"Dad... no..." Dani replied. "But I'm gonna tell him right now. Go get him!"

Her parents left the room. She began to think about she was going to tell Jake that he was gonna be a father. She was afraid of what his reaction would be. Then, he came in the room.

"Hey... how are you feeling?" he said concerned.

"Ummm.... better... We need to talk," Dani said trying to stay calm.

"Okay..." He sat down by her bed.

"Um... you know that time when we... sorta.... umm you know..." Dani was trying to pick the right words.

"Yeah... what about it?" Jake said with a confused look on his face.

"Well... something kind of happened," Dani was afraid to say it right away.

"What do you mean? What are you saying?" He was becoming even more confused. "Dani... tell me!"

"I... I'm.... I'm pregnant!" she stuttered but she said it.
