Just Drive, chapter 1
Lisa woke up to the loud beeping noise of her alarm clock. She got up and got ready for work. Lisa worked at the downtown supermarket. It wasn't the best job someone could have, but hey, it paid. Lisa's two best friends and roommates, Ally and Tierney, walked into the kitchen as toast popped out of the toaster.
"Good morning, Lisa!" both Ally and Tierney said at the same time.
"Mornin'. I'm heading out for work now. Don't forget... "
The phone rang and Lisa picked up in the middle of her sentence. "Hello... Oh hey Billie... Sure thing... Ok... Bye."
"Who was that?" Ally asked. She hadn't really been paying any attention to the conversation.
"It was just Billie. He needed a ride today. Could one of you give him a ride?"
"Can't you just do it? He is your cousin you know." Tierney said.
"I'm working and can't. He needs a ride at 12:00, don't forget!" Lisa said while rushing out the door, still eating her toast.
Tierney and Ally decided to chill until it was time to pick up Billie. There was no rush to pick him up, even though Billie was Lisa's favorite cousin.
"Maybe we should get there a little early, just to make sure." Tierney said. She had the biggest crush on Billie and always had.
"Ok. If we have to. I hope it's not all three of them, my car isn't big enough." Ally said. Ally didn't mind Billie in the car, but all three was kind of crazy. Both of the girls got ready. Tierney put on her Ramones shirt and a pair of jeans. Ally threw on her Clash t-shirt and jeans as well. Obviously, Converse were a necessity for both girls. Ally then grabbed her keys and they walked out the door.
As the girls pulled up to Billie's house, they saw they were 15 minutes early so both got out of the car and walked up to the door. Tierney rang the doorbell and the girls waited for any movement of the door. About 2 seconds later, the door opened and Billie greeted the girls.
"Hey Billie, Lisa told us you needed a ride." Ally said to Billie.
"Oh ya... well; I don't exactly need a ride anymore, sorry. I was going to call but... umm... "
"It's ok Billie. Just call us if you need anything else." Tierney interrupted.
"Ok, thanks. Well, actually, if you guys want to come in, you're more than welcome."
Ally knew that Tierney would be dying to go in. Both walked in and kicked their shoes off. They had been in Billie's house before and were comfortable with everything. Ally spotted Mike and Tré sitting on Billie's couch. They were usually there when the girls decided to pop by. Mike stood up and came over to both girls and gave them a hug.
"I haven't seen you girls in so long. Where's Lisa?"
"She's at work. You know she would have been here to see you. We all know that she loves you." Ally said as Mike blushed.
Ally always felt awkward being over Billie's house when the girls were with her. Tierney loved Billie. Same with Lisa and Mike. Ally was different though. She wasn't infatuated with any of them. Mike was too nice and Billie seemed too close. That left Tré, but Ally was never sure how she felt about him. Sometimes she couldn't stand him, but it was a different annoyance. She just wasn't really sure how she felt. Tré would never show much emotion. He was hysterical, though. Everyone always loved being around him.
Tré followed Mike over and gave Tierney and Ally hugs as well. Ally didn't even realize as she gave Tré a kiss while he was hugging her. Tré looked at her for a second after."Why did I do that?" Ally thought to herself.
