What the Fuck? She's My Daughter? How Can That Be?, chapter 1
*Billie Joe's POV*
"So are you absoulutely sure you're gonna be fine when we get married in a month, Ashlyn?" I asked as I followed her into the kitchen.
"Yes, Billie Joe, for the 25th time. I am positive that I'll be ok. Now shut up about it or I'll call it off," she responded, sounding a bit ticked.
"Ok, ok. I just had to make sure," I said as I walked back into the living room and plopped on the couch. Before I knew it I fell asleep.
*Mike's POV*
I was sitting on my porch playing some songs and singing under my breath. We had a show to do in like 3 hours and I had to make sure I memorized everything. Even though I always did. But practice does make perfect.
"MIKE!" I hear someone yell as I look up the road. It was Tre. The band goof. 'What does he want now?' I thought as I set my bass in the case and walked over to him. He came running over to me and stopped to catch his breath.
"What do you want now, Mr. Cool?" I asked as he and I walked up the steps and sat on the porch.
"When is the show tonight? I forgot," he said as he started breathing normally again.
"Dude, if I told you once, I told you a million times. 7:30. Geez, can't you ever remember that?" I asked as I smacked him in the back of the head.
"Oh, well excuse me. I can't help it if I have a bad case of screwing on my mind," he shot back.
"Hey, hey, hey. Calm down crazy. I'm just being my mean self ok? I wasn't tryin' to start anything," I said as I closed my bass case and walked inside. "Now grab your stuff and come on. We gotta go pick up B.J. and head out. It takes us about an hour to set up and about an hour for sound check."
He followed me in the house and grabbed all his drumming shit and we headed over to Billie's.
*Billie Joe's POV*
I wake up to loud knocking on my door. I automatically assumed it was Mike and Tre since no one else knocks that loud. I get up and yell, "I'm coming, I'm coming."
I open the door and see the two of them standing there with dumbass remarks on their faces. "What?" I mumbled loud enough to where they could hear it.
"Come on dipshit, we have a show in 3 hours we need to get there, set up and do sound check."
"Holy fuck I forgot. I fell asleep after bugging Ashlyn so much. Give me a sec. I just need to grab my equipment and I'll be out there."
They walked in and I grabbed all the stuff I needed and we jumped in Tre's car. It took us about a half hour to get there and we ran to the stage. When we got to the stage, Mike hooked up his bass and I hooked up my guitar. Tre set up his drums and went to find a chair.
When we started to set up I checked to see what time it was and it was 5. I looked again and saw that it took us 20 minutes to set up instead of an hour. "Wow, we're quick," I said, thinking no one was listening.
"What do mean by 'we're quick'?" Tre asked as he rolled in on a chair he had found.
"You know how it normally takes us an hour to get set up?" I asked as I looked up at him.
"Yeah," he responded as he started playing his drums a little.
"Well, it only took us 20 minutes today. I think that's pretty sweet."
We did sound check and just started fooling around.
About 10 minutes later a group of about 3 or 4 girls walked up talking about how the concert was going to rock. As I looked at them, one of them made eye contact with me. Then she smiled big. 'She looks so damn familar. Who does she remind me of?' I thought as I continued to look at her.
Then it hit me. 'She reminds me of Michelle, my girlfriend from about 15 years ago. But why? Did I have a daughter with her and not know it?'
