Oakland School, chapter 4
Girls Locker Room.
"Why are you saying, Oh No!" Sam said. "What, do you guys like them?" Sam said. "Uh, no!" Kristen and Sarah said in unison. "I think you do, because when they start coming, you both run away," Sam said. "Lets just go to detention!" Kristen said changing the subject. With that, they left the locker room.
Detention Room.
Sam, Kristen, and Sarah entered the detention room. "Hey, it doesn't look that different than the other ones I've been to," Sam said. Tre, Billie, and Mike were already there. The girls all saw Tre shove erasers and pencils up his nose, then take them out. As he was doing this he was tipping back on his chair. He saw them walk in. Sam sat in the back of the room, she didn't care where she was sitting. "Oh no!" Sarah whispered, as she saw the three guys walk over and sit next to them. Tre sat next to Sam, Billie sat next to Kristen, and Mike sat next to Sarah. "This is Kristen, and Sarah, and this is Billie and Mike," Sam said pointing. "Hi," They said to each other. Sam took a notebook out and started drawing crazy pictures. "Wow, you're good," Tre said. "Good? I'm fucking fantabulous!" Sam said back. "No, I mean what you're drawing," Tre said. "Oh, I know!" Sam said. Sam looked over and saw Mike and Sarah staring in each other's eyes. She also saw Billie and Kristen staring in each other's eyes. "I knew they liked each other!" Sam whispered to Tre. "Fags!" Tre said while giggling. Sam and him both laughed. "Who's the fag?" Billie said breaking his staring session with Kristen. "No one." Tre said, still laughing.
The bell rang and it was time to go home. Everyone left. Sam handed Tre a crumpled piece of paper. "It can come in handy," She said as she walked out the door. Tre opened it and it was a number. Not just a number, but a phone number! Tre smiled, and walked out the door. Sam was at her locker by now. She got her skateboard, and a lollipop. She loves lollipops. She put a lollipop in her mouth and skated down the hall. "Hey no skating in the hall!" The principal shouted. She skated faster and finally came out of the school door. She did a couple grinds. Then she skated home.
Billie, Mike, and Tre walked home together. Tre was happy. Mike was happy. And Billie was happy. Everyone was happy. Mainly Tre, because this number meant, she liked him too. They finally got home. Tre stared at her number. He wanted to call her, but didnt know what to say. "I'll just call her tonight," Tre thought to himself and with that, he put the number on a table next to his bed, next to the telephone that was there.
