Another Fivtive Romance, chapter 6
He sat a couple of seat back in the bus but we would leave the bus at the same bus stop. It was for me the closest place to get to the festival. The bus became empty until it came into the city, people where stepping off and on the bus to get to their locations. The black-dressed guy, that I yet didn't know the name of, walked up to the chauffer of the bus and said something to him that I couldn't hear from where I sat. He turned around and looked in my direction and smiled again. I smiled back and wondered why he was smiling all the time. He came up to me again and still had that same charming smile on his face.
"Can I have your number? Maybe we can talk some more during Reading?"
I was concerned now but I couldn't come up to a reason of why I should be.
"Sure" I said and took a pen out of my bag and was about to look for some paper when he said, "Here, you can write it on my arm."
He had pulled up his black jacket so I could see his white, not so tanned, arm. His skin felt warm and soft when I pressed my pen against it.
"I guess I'll see you around," he said and stepped of the bus that had now stopped at the right bus stop. I could do nothing but nod again when I saw him go away, happy that maybe just maybe I would see him once again.
I also stepped of and started walking towards the festival. Then I stopped and stirred when I remembered that I hadn't told him that I would attend to the festival! Then how could he have known that? I looked down at my outfit to get a clue but the pin I had saying reading festival on wasn't stuck by my t-shirt. It was in the car on a Green Day tee that I had worn the other day.
I started walking again and it took me 20 minutes to reach the place where the festival was supposed to be located. I dialled Vicky's number from my cell phone.
"Hi!" I said after she had picked up the phone. "Where are you? I'm at the entrance, can we meet up?"
"Sure, I'll be right there," she said, we said bye and she hung up.
I waited a couple of minutes before I finally saw her blond rasta-hair.
"You just disappeared," she said after she had hugged me.
"Yes, I wanted to grab so coffee before starting to deal with the festival dust and mud."
She laughed and said, "Since when are you drinking coffee?"
"Well, I do drink cappuccino you know," I said with a smile.
She laughed again and we started walking towards the place where the tent and Lilly was.
I later that evening told them about the mysterious guy I had met the same day. We were about to start eating our "dinner", hamburgers with fries, veggie for me.
"You said his voice sounded familiar," Lilly said. "What do you mean by that?"
"Well it's like I have heard it somewhere before but I can't figure out from where I've heard it, even though I think I should because it was like it was my best friend talking."
"That's even weirder than that he knew you were going to the Reading Festival," Vicky said with a confused look on her face as she put another fries into her mouth.
"I know, I thought it had something to do with that Reading pin but I didn't have it on me," I answered her.
"Something about you must have spoken for it," Lilly said and smiled. She looked down at my black Lip Service pants, black converse, and the My Chemical Romace tee.
"Maybe it's the converse, everyone wears converse on festivals," I said with a short laughter.
Tina and Mia followed and none of us could figure out how the guy could have known.
Then Welcome to Paradise started ringing in my bag and I picked the phone up just to see that it was a new number...
