My Daughter, The Emo (Sequal to "She's My Fucking Daughter! I Have To See Her!"), chapter 6
***Billie's POV***
***Four Hours Later***
I paced up and down the living room. She should've been back by now. Where the hell is she? It's been two hours since the movie let out! Okay, calm down Billie. You don't want to scare Adie, do you?
She sat on the edge of the couch with her legs crossed, staring at the clock on the mantle above the fireplace. She hadn't blinked in over a minute. "Where could she be?" she said under her breath.
Finally, about half an hour later, there was a "Thunk!" on the front door. I ran to it, leaving Adie behind. Oh God, please let this be her, I thought. I swung the door open and screamed. Adie walked up behind me and gasped. "Oh my God," she said stunned.
There on the doorstep was Scarlet. She was bound, gagged, in her bra and underwear, and covered with bruises.
She tried to scream through the ductape across her mouth. Tears rolled down her cheeks. All I could do was stare. I was devastated.
I picked her up and carried her inside, after I took off the ductape and the thin, yellow rope. She cried, screamed, and threw her arms and legs the whole way to the couch. "Put me down! Put me down!" she screamed.
She sat on the couch and dug her face into a pillow. Her shoulders shook as she cried. I put a hand on her back but she quickly swatted it away. "What happened, honey?" Adie asked sympathetically.
All Scarlet yelled was a muffled, "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"
After about thirty minutes or so, she finally calmed down enough to explain. Embarrassed by her lack of clothes in front of me, she asked for a blanket. Then she began.
"Honey," Adie asked when she was done, "Where is Clarice?" Scarlet's eyes welled up.
"I don't know!" she yelled. She began to cry again, and let Adie hold her this time.
I carried her up to her room. I kissed her on the forehead. "We'll find Clarice," I said," I promise. We'll get this whole thing straightened out."
***Scarlet's POV***
Dad shut the door behind him as he walked out the room. I threw the blanket off and put my pajamas on. I felt so dirty.
I looked into the mirror above the dresser. My makeup was running and my hair was a wreck. Feeling violated, I fell asleep on the floor in Joey's room that night.
