The Chosen One, chapter 2
"Fool!" Onyx said. "You can't possibly defeat me!"
"Not alone, but with a little help, I can defeat you!" Justine retorted.
"Who could possibly help you?" Onyx asked.
"Me!" said a voice. Just then, a silver dragon appeared. A blue jet of flame shot out of its mouth and hit Onyx's neck. He cried out in pain.
"Snow Star, how nice it is to see you again," Onyx said slyly..
Snow Star snarled. "Leave now, or face my wrath!"
She exclaimed.
Onyx growled, then let out a ear-piercing roar. "You may have avoided a battle this time, but you won't be so luck next time!" he said, then he vanished.
Billie ran up to Justine. "What was that all about?" he asked.
"You," she responded. "You're the reason I'm here."
"Why?" Billie asked.
"You'll know very soon," Justine responded. Just then, Mike and Tre appeared behind them.
"Billie, what's going on?" Mike asked, then looked at Snow Star and Justine. "What's with them?"
"Long story," Billie responded.
"Allow me to explain," Snow Star said. "First, we have to get back to the cave. Justine, do you mind?"
Justine shook her head, then she closed her eyes. Two seconds later, they were in a cave. The walls were covered in crystals. Snow Star walked over to a wall and pulled a white crystal from it. She placed it on the floor, then blew fire on it. It began to glow.
"This will explain everything." she said as the cavern filled with a bright light. It reflected off of the other crystals. Soon, images of castles, dragons, and villages, and battles began appearing.
"This is the story of our realm, Draecona." Snow Star began. "For hundreds of years, dragons and humans have lived in peace. Then, a great evil entered our realm, and disturbed the harmony between the two societies. That great evil is Onyx, the dragon you saw earlier. The humans blamed us dragons for Onyx's actions. They began to hunt us down. Then, a human, Cameron, tried to convince the other humans that we weren't to blame. They didn't believe him. When the humans were about to destroy the last two dragons, Cameron came to our defense. The humans nearly killed him because of it. The dragons escaped unharmed. They brought Cameron to this cave, where they healed him. They gave him a sword, Nightingale, that gave him powers similar to those of the dragons. He faced Onyx alone, and ended his reign of terror, but it cost him his life. Before he passed, he said that he would return, and destroy Onyx once and for all."
"How would he manage that?" Mike asked.
"He would be reincarnated." Snow Star explained. "The person whose's body he was reincarnated in would look exactly like him." An image of Cameron appeared. A wave of astonishment came over Mike, Billie, and Tre's faces.
"Billie, you look exactly like Cameron!" Mike exclaimed.
"So, that means that..." Billie began.
"You are the Chosen One, the person destined to save Draecona, just as Cameron did years ago."
Billie's jaw dropped open.
