Take The Pain Away, chapter 1
My name is Veronica, I am eleven. I have brown eyes. One eye is lighter than the other and has a lot of green and in the sun turns yellow or when I am pissed. My hair is dark brown, almost black with blonde, red, and light brown strikes in it. The tips of my hair are light blonde and my 'emo' fringe is blonde.
The past year years have been hell for my family and me. To start out when I was ten my beloved, very close uncle passed away in September. Around the same time Green Day's 'Wake Me Up When September Ends', it somewhat helped me through the tragedy. The following year my grandmother moved out of Washington to Arizona. The year after that my Grandpa had a heart attack and his heart gave out, but they saved him just in time. After the heart attack, the doctors found out that one of his veins that give blood to the brain was clogged, that resulted in him having a stroke. He is now better and can do things on his own.
It is now 2006, and my birthday is soon, my mom and dad said that we would go to California. It was now February thirteenth, three days before my birthday, so we were leaving to go to Cali.
When we got there we stayed at a hotel and my mom and dad gave me my first gift of many to come.
"Okay, honey our first gift to you is we are going to a record company tomorrow and give them a demo of the songs you and your band did," My mom said.
"Also, the record company is, now keep in mind I talked to them already and they are expecting to see us tomorrow, and you will be thrilled to now that the record company is Adeline Records." My dad said.
"WHAT?! YOU GOT BILLIE JOE AND ADRIENNE ARMSTRONG TO LISTEN TO MY BAND TOMORROW?!?!?!?!" I yelled. My sister, Abby came out.
"Onica, you don't have to yell, I'm sure China heard you," She stated.
"I'm sure too, Ab," I said back.
"Okay you two break it up. Yes we got them to, and tomorrow, well, today, your band also flew out and they will be here along with their families," My dad said.
"Really? I have to call my band and make sure I'm not dreaming," I said and went to my cell phone.
I called my best friend, also bassist, up first.
"Hello?" Bree asked.
"You knew that my parents were taking us here and you didn't tell me?" I asked.
"Sorry I thought it would be a great surprise," She said.
"Don't worry it was, I can't wait, I really hope we get signed and not only is it Adeline, but it's the person who inspired me to get into guitar and get you, Tiffany, and Holly together and form the 'Blue Flames'."
"Yea, I know well I'll see you tomorrow, bye."
"Bye." I hung up.
