The Story With No Title, chapter 1
Ivy bit her nails nervously when she saw her best friend, Samantha knock down a jump. Her horse was normally careful, but she guessed with the cool fall breeze it distracted both of them, so they couldn't perform to their best. She cleared the last fine, but Ivy could tell that her friend was disappointed.
Samantha walked her horse casually to Ivy and halted beside her. She shook her head. "I just don't see why Charlie's like this. He normally is quite wonderful." Samantha's brown eyes peered down at Ivy with interest. "You're too quiet today. It's your birthday, normally you're bouncin' off the walls with excitement!"
Ivy didn't look at Samantha, but focused most interest in Charlie, the horse they shared. He was almost black, with some chocolate looking areas near his eyes and flanks. He had a long stripe down his face that connected to his chin. Ivy stroked his muzzle and looked up at Samantha finally. "I'm just so excited for my so called 'surprise' present.. I don't know what to do with myself!"
Sam shook her head. "That stupid loser shouldn't have told you. How is it a surprise when you know you're going to get a surprise. I don't get Mason. Such a fucking blabber mouth." She looked down at her friend and gave a toothy smile. Ivy and her had been best friends since Grade seven, when Ivy had moved to farm country with her family. They shared the same interests in horses, music and hobbies. Ivy and Sam would leave every summer to go to a camp not far from where they lived. It was for a month, and they would share a horse and get lessons. Not many people went, normally six people each year. They were regulars though.
Ivy smiled back. "Com'on, let's get Charlie cooled down and ready for bed." Sam nodded and jumped off her horse and took off his saddle and began to carry it back to the barn while Ivy led him around the ring a few times. She loved the farm. She missed the city though. All her punk friends were back in the city. They still kept in touch through email and msn, but it wasn't the same. She missed going to all the concerts and 'group meetings' that they had every week. Her parents felt that she had become more down-to-earth and better behaved since they moved. Ivy thought she had stayed the same. There just wasn't much to do that was unpredictable or thrilling in the country, so she decided not to make chaos.

When Ivy and Sam had settled down Charlie for bed, they went up to the huge farm house where all the kids stayed. Ivy was the youngest one, at the age of 15. Samantha had just turned 16. When Ivy entered the house she saw Mason, her other best friend. He was one of the only punk people she could find at her school. He was the oldest one at the camp, witch made everyone respect him even more. If he was mad at you, you wouldn't want to stay near him, he was one of those types of people.
"Hey birthday girl! How old are you now?" Mason cheered as they entered the living room.
"Fifteen! And I'm pretty damn well proud of it!" Ivy grinned and plopped down beside him on the couch. Mason ruffled up her hair playfully. "You know I hate that." Ivy glared at him.
"Ivy! I know that you know that everyone knows that you wanna open up your long awaited gift. So.. Uhmm... where is it?" Ashley, another camp member that had just joined last year, said looking around.
Samantha came walking in with a small box wrapped (undoubtedly done by one of the guys, due to the messy folds and duck tape holding it together). Sam held it out for Ivy to grab it. "I think you'll like it... " she sat down on the other side of Mason.
Ivy nodded, "I'll probably love it!" She began to unwrap the mess.
"I wrapped it!" Mason piped in raising his hand and nodding his head as if it was something to be proud of.
"Shut up dimwit and wait for her to open it!" Sam hissed.
Ivy had finally taken off all the hideously wrapped paper and opened the box. Inside were two tickets. Ivy picked one up and looked at it. It was a plane ticket to Vancouver. "Thanks guys! That place looks soo pretty!!!" She exclaimed.
Mason rolled his eyes. "You don't even know why you're going! Look at the other ticket! Jeez!"
Ivy frowned. How could she be stupid enough to forget the second ticket. She looked at it carefully and it said in big letters "GREEN DAY" . Ivy's eyes widened and jumped up screaming. "OH MY GOSH! YOU GUYS!" In between breaths she managed to exclaim "Thank - You - Guys - So - Fuck - ing - Much!" She ran over and gave Sam a huge hug.
"You're fucking welcome!" Sam grinned. "And that ticket, the plane one that is, is for both ways. The only thing you have to worry about is a hotel, but I talked to your mom and she said that she would take care of that.. I didn't really understand. But she helped pitch in for the ticket. So thank her too!"
Mason cleared his throat. "Did you even look at the ticket carefully? The Green Day one?"
Ivy nodded. "Yes... no... wait..." Ivy looked at it and it said the words 'BACKSTAGE PASS'. Ivy looked up at Mason and asked "how did you get this?"
Mason laughed. "Well... I know a person, who knows a person, who knows a person that knows a person who is good friends with Jason White. I showed my friend that knew the people a picture of your poster filled room and they agreed that you should go to a concert."
"THANKS MASON!" Ivy hugged him and then pulled away. "You what?
