I Traveled Through Time To Meet Billie Joe, chapter 1

I was walking along an empty road and tears were running down my face. I was soaked to the skin but that didn't bother me.
Suddenly I felt a gentle tap on my shoulder and I turned around. In the pale yellow light of the moon I saw him. I knew him but I couldn't remember his name. I was in a great pain as I could be able feel my soaked clothes now. I looked straight to his eyes. I knew them too.
Then I heard a scream and I turned my head but in that instance he touched my cheek and kissed my mouth. I was able to feel my lips getting hotter and hotter but then they suddenly became as cold as ice.
I was awake! It has only been a dream. And that guy was Billie Joe. My heart was beating so fast that I thought it was going to explode. Then I woke from this daydream too as my sister entered my room.
Her name is May and is two years older than me which means she's 18. I don't hate her but sometimes she pisses me off.
"Hey what the hell are you doing there? Wake up! We have classes today!" my sister screamed
"Oh yes! Sorry I was tired! I couldn't sleep all night!" I lied
I got off my bed and I went straight to my closet.
"Hey! Go to the bathroom! What the hell's happening to you?" my sister screamed again. I must admit that my sister has a very loud voice and that's really annoying.
"Ok but don't scream!" I realized that my dream with Billie Joe really confused me.

After I finished my shower I put on some clothes and I went downstairs. My mom was cooking something I don't know exactly because everything she does becomes a mess. My dad was probably in his 'lab', which means the garage. He loves physics and he thinks he's some kind of freak like Einstein or something like that.
Whatever, I was ashamed with my parents I sometimes I wonder why am I their daughter.
And as for me, I like punk. I love Green Day and of course Billie Joe. I hope I'll meet him sometime in the future!

As I was heading to the school it started raining and by the time I was in the schoolroom I was wet to the skin. I smiled because I remembered my dream.
At school I had two best friends who were sharing my hobbies as well as the music I like. They were the only ones who knew about my obsession with Billie and when I told them about the dream, they laugh. Anyway I don't get angry if they're a little bit mean because they're the best.

The school day was over and at about 4 o'clock I was home, back to my weird family. While we were having dinner dad broke the silence:
"Hey kids! Guess what I've invented?" he asked with a silly smile on his face.
"What dad? Another dog barker?" May asked and swallowed a piece of bread.
"Oh no May! This time is something real! It's a time machine" father said and everybody laughed.
"Dear after dinner will come and see what you've created but now lets eat." mom said
"Yeah as if these things are good for eating." I thought

But one hour later we were on dad's lab staring at something, which was supposed to be a time machine. Then dad started to explain us all those shits thanks to which he invented this thing. But I couldn't understand a thing. I think if I had known only a word of what he was saying I would be the Einstein of my class. Then I realized we have a huge and strange machine in our garage that was supposed to be the invention of the millennium and that my both parents were proud of.
"We're going to be rich," my dad said while leaving the garage.
After everybody left the room I found myself steering at that thing. And I decided to try it. So I entered that thing and I saw some letters and numbers. I supposed I had to match them to the place and the time I wanted to be. I laugh but I matched them. Year 1988 Rodeo California U.SA. Then I laughed. Nothing happened. Not even a sparkle, nothing. I got out that thing and I said with a silly smile
"Oh crap! Dad screwed again!"
I went upstairs and opened my room's door. All over the room were pink things and a little girl was sleeping in my bed.
"What the crap?" I said and closed the door. They couldn't have changed my room in 10 minutes! Suddenly I became scared and for a second I thought my dad's machine really worked. I got out of the house and I realized that wasn't my house at all. I started walking through the main street and I was wondering how could I escape from there. When I saw a man I went straight to him.
"Mr.! Excuse me. Mr.!" I screamed.
"What?!" the man asked and turned around.
"Where are we?"
"What do you mean?"
"What town?" I asked desperately.
"Oh!!" the man was surprised of my question but still answered, "Rodeo. Rodeo California"
I was feeling like I was going to pass out. I wasn't able to ask the year because it would have probably scared the poor man who happened to be interrupted by a 'future' freak.
"Are you Ok?" the man asked as he saw my pale face.
"Yes. Thank you" I said and I left heading to the suburbia of the town.
"How? How?" I couldn't believe. How could I reach California in 10 minutes? I realized I had nowhere to go and I wasn't sure that I would ever go home. Then I found a beggar and I asked him what was the year.
"Hey Mr. Do you happen to know what year are we? I asked and then I saw him looking at me with a strange face.
"Where were you? Under a stone?" he asked and laughed.
"Please Mr. I am desperate!" I scream and started to cry.
"What do you give me if I tell you?"
I had nothing except a bar o chocolate.
"Here take it!"
"We're 1988 girl! What did you thought! It's 2006?" he laughed
"That's it. I traveled trough time. What the fuck... I just want to go home. This is a fucking hell. Why me? I was actually crying!
I was leaning against the cold wall until I reached the ground. I was desperately crying but after a few seconds I realized I was probably dreaming. I tried to hit myself but as much as that hurt I was still there. Then a boy came to me:
"Hey, are you crazy?" he said.
"What should I be?" I asked after I calmed down.
"Cause you were hitting the wall! Hey I don't know what problem you have with that poor wall but the police are one street from here and if they see you'll have problems" he said and smiled.
"Ok I'll calm down!" I said.
"Hey, my name's Jed. And yours?"
"Hmm... Fay."
"Why were you crying?" he asked.
"I ... I got lost! You see I was supposed to go to my aunt's town but I didn't take the right train. Now I don't have any more money to go home and I have nowhere to go. Do you follow me?" I said.
I was surprised of what I said. It just came without thinking at it.
"Aham! Let's see what I can do for you!"
"What?"
"Yes! I'll help you. I think you can live at my friend for a few days until you'll get a job so as to pay him and to return home." He said.
"Are you nuts? I don't know your friend!"
"Don't worry I'm sure there's no problem!" he said and smiled, "Come on. Let's go!"
I was walking behind him and I was staring at the people. They were dressed so strange. It was pretty cold too.
When Jed and I reached his friend's house he rang the door. A lady answered. As soon as I saw her face my skin turned pale and I couldn't hear anything except of:
"Hello Mrs. Armstrong." Then Jed talked to her for a few minutes until she invited me in.
I was heading through her living but it felt like those weren't my legs. I sit down staring at the furniture and the things out there. I was so desperate that I forgot this was Billie's town. I remembered my dad's machine and the numbers I matched: Billie must be 16! "Oh my god" I thought. Then the woman talked to me:
"Hey, hello there! I'm Ollie Armstrong. Jed told me you have nowhere to go."
"Hi, I'm Fay." I said with a low voice. "I think Jed explained you my problem ... Mrs. Armstrong"
"Oh don't be shy, dear! You can stay here. I have a son but he barely stays home."
"Ok. I'll pay you as soon as I find a job."
"Don't worry, you mustn't, but you must earn money to return home."
"Aham"
"Fay, you have no luggage?" Mrs. Armstrong asked.
"No... I lost them"
Suddenly the air started to be intoxicating as I heard the door opening and Billie entering.
"Hi mom! Whose she?" he asked.
"She's Fay and she's going to stay with us for awhile.
"Aham. Ok. No problem! Hey mom I came to eat something. I have to meet with the boys in one hour!" he said and went straight to the kitchen.
"Fay, this is my son Billie Joe"
But I already knew him! I didn't know what to do! I was totally confused. I was going to live in Billie's house. Billie's mom showed me the room that I was going to stay in.
We past near Billie's room and I saw Blue. I was so excited. I could hardly believe this was happening to me.
But I passed by his room and headed to my room. It was a normal room mostly like my room back home. There was wallpaper hanging on a wall.
I realized Billie's friends must have stayed there. The bed had a grey sheet and a white pillow. There wasn't much colour on this house and as my mom would say these people are depressed or don't care about life.
And then I remembered Billie' father. It was hard for me to believe it had only been 6 years since his father died. Suddenly I missed my parents and I wondered again why I was there. As I was thinking at my home I headed to the closet. I opened it but there was nothing. There was the place my clothes were supposed to be but I didn't have such things. And I thought what I was going to wear. Oh my god I had nothing! If I had known my dad's machine worked I would have took some clothes. But whatever, I was in Billie's house.
"Finally my dad did something useful." I thought.
I left the house because I wanted to go for a walk to see the people here and the houses. But first I looked at Billie's street's name in case I would get lost. My wish was to meet Billie and become friends as soon as possible. In my heart I loved him. I loved him so bad. But you can't make a guy love you even if you come from the future. This was like a daydream. I felt like it wasn't real. I just couldn't believe it.
Suddenly, while I was walking, I remembered Gilman Street. Could Billie and the rest of the guys be there? But I had no idea where that place could be and there was nobody on the street.
"Where the fuck is everybody? Is place in really boring." I said while looking to see if there was really no one out there.
Then I remembered the beggar. He was from town and should know where Gilman is. So I went and asked him and he told me.
"Oh my god I'm gonna see Gilman!" I said almost screaming." I don't care if this isn't real life I just love it. It's heaven." I screamed.
I was laughing and thinking of all my dreams. So many years I dreamt of Billie and now as was actually going to meet him. I felt my body fuelling with excitement. Gilman was only two blocks far. I could already hear the music. It was a really good music indeed. Now I really hoped Billie was there. I wanted to hear him sing.
