The tale of a young Green Day fan., chapter 2

I think its time we skip from summer to the beginning of the school year.

I'm now entering 6th grade. My first year at Junior high so I'm nervous. I had finally quit cutting thanks to help from my friends whom also had quit. Josh hadn't though. Which dragged me through the dirt.

On my first half day of school I found out where my classes were thanks to my friend Brian. At the time I thought he was cute. His older brother Gearld went there. In gym I met a nice Chinese girl named Helen. She was friends with an old buddy who had spoke of me. She was on my academic team and her locker was next to mine.

I was really glad to meet her. The next day we sat by each other at lunch. We had been talking a lot. We got along really well and we were both weird.

In my class I saw familiar faces. Some where friends some weren't. I also saw new faces and cute faces. There were more guys that girls. My home room teacher was really nice. So far the year was off to a good start.

No one there knew of what had gone on over the summer. So my friends didn't know what topics I was uncomfortable discussing. Which sometimes became a real problem. They always wondered why I would have problems with talking about those topics.

My academic team got together for the first time and we talked. I got called Goth for some lame reason from a guy I knew. His name was Harrison. Last year he had asked me out. He ended up dating my then best friend Brenda.

So far it sounded like I'd have a fun year this year. At lunch it was a hassle. 8th graders had study hall and then went to lunch when we did so they were always in line first. We get 30 minutes to eat and we'd always end up 10 or 5 minutes. 15 if were very lucky.

8th graders were a bit of a problem. Man were some of them tall but some were short. I was one of the taller kids so I was glad about that. Everyone thought I was older because of my height. Hey thats an advantage. So yea school was pretty good.

Homework came lightly. Having a locker was new to me. It was weird. I always had lock problems almost. Helen was a straight A student who was very organized as I found out.
