Welcome To My Life, chapter 8
~Still Everyone's Favorite Billie's POV~
It was 5 days after the concert and my encounter with Adrienne, and I couldn't stop thinking about her. She still hadn't called. I wondered if I should. I decided I would since it was just me. Kendra was at school as were Tre and Mike, but I had dropped out to devote more time to the band and song-writing. I found her number and dialed it.
"Hello?" said a girl's voice.
"Hi, umm, is this Adrienne?" I asked nervously.
"Yes, who's this?"
"Adrienne! It's me Billie Joe, remember, from the concert?"
I heard he squeal and say something to someone in the background, "It's him! The one I told you about! From the concert!" Then She started talking to me again. "Billie! I was starting to wonder when you call! So whats up?"
We talked for an hour and a half. I had never talked that long with Kendra before.
"So you wanna hang out sometime, like, umm, I dunno..." I trailed off.
"Yeah! That would be great! How bout tomorrow? At, uhh, 1?" She asked.
"That'd be great! Where do ya wanna meet? Oh I know this really cool place! It's called Gilman, ever been there?"
"Ooh, I've heard of that place! It's s'posed to be really cool. Yeah let's meet there. Oh, and could you give me the address, I've never actually been there before." I gave her the address and we agreed that we would meet there the next day at 1:00. Good, I thought to myself, then Kendra, Mike, and Tre would still be school, which would leave me with three and a half hours to spend with Adrienne. Yes!
"Well, I'll see you tomorrow Billie, bye."
"Yeah, bye."
I was so happy. I'd get to see Adrienne again. I felt so pumped. I picked up a pencil and paper as lyrics flew through my head.
She's a rebel
She's a saint
She's salt of the earth
And she's dangerous
She's a rebel
Vigilante
Missing link on the brink
Of destruction
From Chicago to Toronto
She's the one that they
Call old whatsername
She's the symbol
of resistance
and she's holding on my
heart like a hand grenade
is she dreaming
what I'm thinking
is she the mother of all bombs
gonna detonate
is she trouble
like I'm trouble
make it a double
twist of fate
or a melody that
she sings the revolution
the dawning of our lives
she brings the liberation (x2)
that I just cant define
nothing comes to mind
She's a rebel
She's a saint
She's salt of the earth
And she's dangerous
She's a rebel
Vigilante
Missing link on the brink
Of destruction
She's a rebel, She's a rebel, She's a rebel, And she's dangerous
She's a rebel, She's a rebel, She's a rebel, And she's dangerous
I smiled to myself as I wrote down the lyrics. I just couldn't get her out of my head, she was beautiful, and I couldn't wail until tomorrow when I would see her again.
