Horny, Corny and Loving You, chapter 3

*Normal POV*

"I'm bored," I whined.

"You poor thing we'll be there soon be patient," he said.

"I didn't think you would be able to sit still long enough to drive. You're kind of hyper."

"I can act like a normal human being when I want to," he replied.

"I want to know more about you," he said. "What's you're family like?" It was an attempt to start a conversation and cure my boredom.

"My dad works a lot and my mom left us when I was in the first grade."

"Oh sorry," he said sincerely.

"It's okay Billie and Mike have been more of a family to me than anyone. I've known Billie since kindergarten and mike went to our elementary school," I said. Tre nodded.

"What about your family?" I asked.

"It's good. I have two older sisters."

"Cool."

*Tre POV*

I love my family and I can't imagine not having them there for me. Now I know why she is so close to Billie and Mike. It's sad that a person like her doesn't have a family that realizes how wonderful she is.

*Normal POV*

"What's your favorite movie?" I asked him.

"Hmm, that's a tough one probably The Breakfast Club," he said.

"I love The Breakfast Club, John Hughes movies are awesome," I said.

"I like Ally Sheedy in it she's hot. I'd like to put Captain Crunch and pixie sticks on her sandwich," he said.

"You are such a perv. I knew you would go for the crazy girl," I said and laughed at him.

"Can I put Captain Crunch and pixie sticks on you?" he asked and wiggled his eyebrows.

"No thanks maybe another time," I said. Tre then decided to start singing 99 Bottles of Tequila on the Wall.

"Why vodka?" I asked.

"I like vodka better," he replied and continued to sing. I noticed that we had entered a small town. I joined him 96, 95, 94, 93. I sang along until we got to 76. My cell rang and I answered. It was Billie.

"Where are you? The shows in an hour are you coming?" he asked.

"Tre and I are going out to dinner."

"Okay, if you aren't going to be back in time we'll take John's car."

"Were here," Tre said as we pulled into the parking lot of a diner.

"I have to go Billie," I said. Billie said something along the lines of killing Tre if he touched me.

"Bye," I said. Before I hung up Tre yelled into to the phone.

"Bye Jillie Bo!" I hung up and told Tre what Billie said.

"I'm too cute to die," he said pretending to be scared of Billie's threats.

"Just don't touch me I guess," I said jokingly.

"I'd rather die," he said and then he kissed me. We got out of the car and walked in to the small diner hand in hand. It was just like the 50's inside and it was almost empty. We sat down in a booth by a window just as the sun was starting to set.

"This place is so cool," I said to him.

"Yeah it is, my house is just down the street." The waitress came over after we looked at the menu and we ordered. We both got cheeseburgers. There was a jukebox so I decided to play a few songs. Tre came over to look with me. I chose a few Elvis song and Tre did his impression of the king. He is such a goofball. He chose a slow Patsy Cline song.

"Wanna dance?" he asked.

"I thought you'd never ask." He put his arms around my waist and I put my arms around his neck. We swayed to the music. I looked up into his eyes and gave him a small kiss on the lips. The song ended and we sat back down at our table. Our food arrived and we ate. After we ate Tre paid and we went back out to the car. I offered to pay for my food but Tre insisted.

"That was so much fun. Thank you," I said.

"Thank you for coming I'm glad you liked it," he said as we pulled out of the parking lot.

It was eight and there was no way I would be back in time for the guys show.
"There's no way I'll be back in time for the guys show, I should call them," I said. Tre nodded. I called and Mike answered. He said they'd take John's car.

"Mike said it was okay," I said.

"Good," Tre said.

A few minutes later we arrived at Tre's house. It was a medium sized house on a hill with a large yard. We both got out of the car. It was dark now and you could see the stars really well. Tre sat down on the hood of the car and gestured for me to sit next to him. I did. He put his arm around me and I rested my head on his shoulder. I breathed in taking in his scent as I looked up at the star studded sky.

"Can I ask you something Lisa?" he asked. He sounded nervous.

"Sure," I replied.

"I know we've only known each other for like two days but will you be my girl friend?" he asked and then he looked in to my eyes waiting for an answer. I leaned in and kissed him passionately the kissed seemed to last forever. We pulled apart.

"I'll take that as a yes," he said. I smiled at him.

"Do you want to come in?"

"I would, but I have like an hour drive back to Billie's."

"You can stay here if you want to," he said hopefully.

"Will your parents let me?" I asked.

"Of course, they'll love you."

"Okay, I just have to call Billie to make sure he doesn't need his car or think I've been murdered." I called Billie and he told me I should stay because he doesn't want me driving alone at night. I told him good luck at his show and followed Tre into the house. It was really nice inside. We walked past the living room where Tre's dad was watching TV. Tre introduced me and I shook his hand. His dad was more than okay with me staying in one of the guest rooms. Tre lead me into the kitchen where his mother was doing dishes.

"She likes to hug people," he warned. I laughed.

He introduced me to her and as promised she hugged me. I gladly accepted the hug it made me miss my mom a little. She also was glad I was staying.

"Thank you for letting me stay."

"No problem," she said before going to get some extra blankets for the guest room for me. I told Tre how nice his parents were.

"Told you they were great," he said. They really were it made me miss having a real family a little. Before my mom left and my dad shut me out. Tre's mom handed me some blankets and some pajamas that were Tre's sister's. I thanked her and Tre showed me too the guest room closest to his room. I put the blankets in and followed Tre to his room. Tre showed me where the bathroom was and I put on the pajamas Tre's mother had given me. It was only eight so we were going to hang out for a while. Tre told me how they had just got cable and he had a small TV and VCR in his room. We decided to watch The Breakfast Club because he had it on tape. The lunch scene reminded of Tre's offer when we were in the car he told me that the offer still stood and I took a rain check. It got to my favorite part where they all get high. When they danced Tre got up and danced badly. I laughed at him so much I snorted.

"I hope you know you can't dance," I said.

"I can too dance." He continued to make a fool of himself until the scene ended. Tre lied back down on the bed with me. He draped is arm over me. We watched the rest of the movie in mostly silence except for occasional laughter from either I or Tre. It was the scene where Claire showed her talent for putting lipstick on.

"I can do that," I said.

"Really, you'll have to show me sometime."

"Maybe I will," Tre smirked and I hit his arm.

"Stop thinking perverted thoughts about me." He apologized and told me I was too sexy.

I fell asleep before the movie ended.

*Tre POV*

She fell asleep after the part where Bender fell through the ceiling. For the rest of the movie I watched her sleep more than I was paying attention to the movie. The movie ended and I turned the TV off. It was around eleven. I really didn't want to wake her up. I carefully picked her up and carried her down the hall to the guestroom. I placed her on the bed and covered her with s a blanket. She looked so peaceful there asleep. I kissed her forehead and went to my room to go to sleep.

*3 hours Later Lisa's Dream*

Seven years old Lisa walked through the front door into her house.

"Mom, I'm home," she called through the house. No one answered. She looked in the kitchen and in the living room but there was no sign of the first grader's mother. She went up stairs to her father's office. He was seated at his desk with a half empty bottle of whiskey.

"Daddy, where's mom?" she asked in a frightened voice.

"She left," he stated as if it were a common fact.

"What do you mean she left? When is she coming home?" Lisa was worried now.

"She left us and she's never coming back." He scowled harshly. Tears formed in the young girls eyes. She didn't understand why her mother wasn't there.

"You're just as bad as her. I wish she had taken you with her. Leave me," he said with a slur to the now sobbing little girl.

"But why did she leave?" Lisa whimpered. The drunken man got up and slapped Lisa across the face.

"I said leave!" he yelled. Lisa ran from the room.

*End of Dream/Lisa POV*

"Lisa, Lisa wake up," I felt Tre shake me awake. I opened my eyes and saw a concerned Tre standing beside my bed. I wiped my sweat drenched face on my shirt.

"You were having a nightmare. I heard you from my room and came to check on you." said Tre. He sounded worried.

"I'm okay now," I said. He sat down on the side of the bed. He held my hand. I looked over at the window. There was a storm. Thunder clapped and broke the silence making me jump a little. Tre laughed.

"Are you sure you're okay?" he asked. "Do you want me to stay for a while?" I nodded and moved over a little so Tre could lie down beside me. The warmth of his body next to mine made me feel a little better. The memories of my dream slowly came back to me. I replayed it all in my mind and wondered why I had had a dream like that now when my mother was usually the farthest thing from my mind. That day was the worst of my life finding out that my mom didn't care about me enough to stay. All she left was a note apologizing for leaving but not fully explaining why she left in the first place. I never truly forgave her for what she did to me or my poor father. I remember my father before she left. He had been a kind loving man and he loved my mother her leaving ruined him and turned him into a cold and abusive man. He used to beat me the first few years after she left but tried to get better. Now he works all the time and tells me it's so he doesn't hurt me as much anymore. Tre could tell I was deep in thought.

"What was your dream about?" Tre asked. I was thinking of making something up but decided to tell him the truth.

"It was about my mother and the day she left." I had never really talked about my mother with anyone. Not even Billie.

"Do you want to talk about it?" he asked wanting to help. If he can care about me why couldn't my mother? I thought and then I broke into tears. I sobbed into Tre's shirt. He held me in his arms and tried to comfort me.

"Shhh, everything will be okay." Tre made me feel better and my sobs subsided. I hugged Tre close to me. I kissed his cheek.

"I still don't know why she left. What did I do to make her leave?" I said almost in a whisper. Tre looked into my eyes.

"You didn't do anything wrong and it's her loss if she didn't want to take care of someone as beautiful and wonderful as you," he said sincerely. My father had always told me it was my fault that I made her leave and I believed it sometimes. I cut once and my father beat me for doing it. He said if I wanted to be hurt then he'd hurt me. I looked into Tre's eyes and thought how lucky I was to have him.

"I love you," I said to Tre. I was surprised to here those words come out of my mouth. Tre probably thought I was crazy we had only known each other for 2 days and I had only been his girlfriend for like six hours. Why did I have to say it? How could I feel that way about someone so soon? I had never told any of my other boyfriends that I loved them.

"I'm sorry. It's too soon and..."

Tre cut me off by putting his finger to my lips.

"I love you too," Tre said. I didn't believe what I was hearing did he really just say he loved me? After what he said sank in for a few seconds I pulled him in for a passionate kiss. After we pulled apart Tre smiled at me I knew that we were going to be happy together. This is crazy I thought to myself we've only known each other for two days. With that I fell asleep in Tre's arms.
