I Have A Problem Trusting Men, But Can I Trust You, Billie?, chapter 6

Next Morning.
Ash's POV

I was sleeping soundly when Frank woke me up.

"What?"

"I gotta go now. Remember to ask your Dad if we can go out somewhere today. Oh wait, I'll just call the house and ask him myself."

"Okay."

"Bye, Ash."

He gave me a kiss.

"Bye, Frank. Take your things."

"Oh, yeah."

He grabbed his bags and put all his stuff in it and climbed out of the window. I laid on my stomach and started to fall back asleep when my cell rang. Damn it, who calls this early on a Saturday morning. If it's Frank I swear to God.

"Hello?"

"Ash, it's me, Spud."

"No shit."

"Yeah, well I was working late last night."

"And I care?"

"You will in a second. So I was working and guess who came in a few minutes before closing?"

"Barney."

"Avenged Sevenfold! Can you believe it?"

"What? Are you serious?"

I was up now. That means she had met Synyster Gates, lucky little bitch. That man can play the guitar and it doesn't hurt that he's that damn fine.

"Yes, I got to serve their table and they wanted me to sit with them so I did. We spent a few hours talking and all. Zacky was saying how the Bay area girls are the best looking in the world. I said that I knew you and guess who was interested in that?"

"Who?"

Oh God please say Syn, please say Syn.

"Synyster fucking Gates, that's who!"

"Aaaahhh! Oh my God."

"Yeah, he said he saw some pictures of you in a tabloid and he thought you were really hot. Oh, and guess what else."

"What else?"

"They left me a hundred dollar tip and Zacky left me his phone number!"

"Whoa! That is so bad ass."

"I know."

"So, are you gonna call him?"

"I dunno. Should I?"

"Wait a day or two. You don't want to look desperate."

"Okay, I'll do that. Are you doing anything today?"

"Yeah, Frank wants me to go to the mall with him."

"Oohh. Frank likes him some Ashtray."

"Oh shut up. I don't even know what we are. He's so damn confusing."

"That's boys."

"Frank's older then me and you."

"Doesn't mean he's a man."

"Oh that's nice."

"Are you sticking up for him?"

"Well...no."

"Awe, you like him."

"No I don't."

"Yes you do, I can tell."

"Oh shut up. I gotta go."

"To get ready for your date."

"It's not a date and...whatever, bye."

"Frank and Ash sitting in a tr..."

I hung up on her. Damn Spud can be annoying sometimes. I don't like him. We're only friends, right? I shook the thought out of my head.

I kind of always knew since I first met him that I really liked him. It's not that he's Frank Iero, guitarist of My Chemical Romance that makes me like him. It's that he's Frank, one of my best friends and the guy that I can confide in. I don't think he feels the same way. I know that may sound hypocritical or whatever but no guy is ever interested in me. This is how guys are with me. One, they become my friend and stay that way, or two, they just ignore me. I am friend who is girl, not girlfriend. It's always been like that for me. I yawned and stretched and got out of bed. I walked to my closet and Dad opened the door.

"Hey, Ash."

"Yeah, Dad."

"Frank called. He wants to know if you want to go to the mall today."

"Okay."

"Alright, just be back before dinner."

"I will."

He closed the door and left me to get dressed. I pulled on a Black Sabbath shirt and a pair of tight, black jeans. I slipped on my Van's, grabbed my cell and purse, and walked downstairs to wait for Frank.

Frank's POV

I just got off the phone with Billie. I had another half hour or so to kill before I picked up Ash so I decided to walk over to Gerard and Mikey's house. I knocked on the door and waited for him to answer.

"Hey, Frank. It's kinda early," said my platinum haired friend.

"Yeah, I know. I gotta pick up Ash in a few."

"Spending the day with Ashlynn, again?"

"Yeah."

"You really like her don't you."

I sighed and sat on the sofa opposite him.

"Yeah, man. I don't know why I get the way I do around her. I feel like I'm some geeky little freshman in high school and she's the uber-sexy senior."

"Oh, that's cute."

"Shut up, Gerard."

"Okay, I'll stop teasing. You should tell her."

"Tell her what?"

"Tell her how you feel about her."

"Yeah, right. Walk up to her, hey I know that I'm eight years older then you and that you aren't even legal yet and that we've only known each other for a few months but I'm in love with you?"

"You're in love with her?"

"Damn it, I said that part out loud?"

"Yeah."

"Okay, promise you won't tell?"

"Duh."

"Yeah, I do love her. She makes me happy."

"Dude, you are so cheesy right now."

"Just shut up, Gerard."

"Okay man."

"So what do I do?"

"Besides tell her now? You wait till she's eighteen."

"Okay, I'll do that."

"You promise?"

"Yes."

"Good, because you always being off in lala land during practices isn't good."

"I do not space out during practices."

"Then how come one day you were tuning your guitar and subconsciously saying Ashlynn's name?"

"I never."

"Yeah, you did. Ask anyone."

"Okay, I swear that I'll tell her when she turns eighteen."

"Good, you just better hope she doesn't find someone till then."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"No offence, Frank, but she is really hot and she isn't gonna wait around forever."

Ash's POV

After about five minutes of waiting, Frank finally pulled up and knocked on the door. I gave Dad a kiss good bye and left. Mom went to the hospital yesterday so she could have her tubes tied. They both agreed that they have enough kids so she's going to be in surgery today. I walked outside and Frank gave me a kiss.

"You ready to go?"

"Yup."

I got in the passenger side of his car and buckled my seatbelt as we headed out. It's been really hard for us to hang out lately because the tabloids and paparazzi have been having a field day with us. They think that we are like the punk royalty couple or something. We're not even going out. We've been laying really low and trying not to imply anything even though there's nothing to imply, right?

Frank pulled into the mall parking lot and parked the car. We both got out and walked inside. This is probably the best Tuesday I've had in a while. For one thing, no school thanks to me bitching out those preps and two, I'm at the mall and hanging out with Frank the entire day. Who wouldn't want to be in my position? Okay, maybe my Dad.
